Say if I, or any other person was to create a lore character that got approved, and then put it up for sale for like 20-40 silver depending on art and other additional stuff, would there actually be any target audience willing to buy these characters?

The way this would work is that a salesman puts them up for sale in the roleplay announcement section, where potential buyers can buy the "rights" to an approved character so they can roleplay with something that is completely pre made and ready to use.

(I am not looking for opinions from people who already have characters and think it is dumb, I am just asking for potential buyers)

Anyone interested?

If you were to aim this kinda thing at newer players I think they would be interested. Maybe reduced the price or increased a range of characters from 5 silver players to 30 silver player characters.

I think it slightly overpriced. I also wouldn't be a customer, as I already have a good rp character and can make more easily, but it is a good idea for many of those people currently without one.

I already had the idea, but it took a while for me to make mine. And I don't know if the new characters could afford it anyway. It may not be that stable of an income source. but if you have a few available you should advertise it online someone is bound to buy. However people may pay more for custom rp characters.

Like they give you a list of things they want and don't want, you take that and make it interesting. Could be worth as much as 70-100 silver I think.

Personally if marty was selling his own artwork of requested RP charcters's id buy that.

I like the idea too, maybe if my character starts to get old or i want to change, i could buy a charecter instead of making a new one

Sounds to me like a way for the good role-players to become enriched with silver and line their pockets with it.

Very good idea, we should perhaps sell some roleplay characters to the newbs on Massivecraft, if they have trouble creating a character.

These noobs that people speak of are most likely noobs in RP. Thus, if you give them a character already made that they did not get the experience with of making, communicating, and extending his/her personality, they will most likely suck at RP with that character.

For noobs, the best way for them is to make their own character. This way, they know how the entire plot of the character works, they can leave plotholes and fill them in later, their personalities might even match up with their real life character.

This isn't a bad idea, however I fear that it may end up hurting the community in the long run.

I guess the idea would be good, if it worked like that... I could imagine a new line of scamming opening up where players sell their characters to new people without even having a character

I would probably buy one, since I don't really have one yet and don't really have time to spend creating a whole rp persona and getting it approved, etc. but would have to come from a legit source.

I'm not sure if this will catch on. Well at least I'd never be willing to spend silver on it. Good luck
