FIFTH OF SEPTEMBER, 307 AC
FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESS SECRETARY OF THE VIOLET ORDER:
ON THE TARRING OF TAENDROSS

In the early morning hours of the first of September, 307 AC, the heretic criminal known as Taendross Shainvrel was tarred and feathered. Her Isldar pointed ears were also rounded. This punishment is in accordance with her record of broken laws, which were published by the Secretary of Faith and are as follows:

Speaking against the State; promoting Frisit Worship as her sole worship and authority; illegally owning weapons, vigiliantism, and repeatedly assaulting innocent citizens of the Empire.
Regalian Common Law I: Wearing a weapon in public without express permission from authorities to do so is illegal.
Regalian Common Law III: To harm in self defense is only legal when under self-risk of bodily harm.
Regalian Common Law IV: To harm another citizen or non-citizen Regalian resident, is illegal.
Regalian Common Law VIII: To act with intention to conspire against the State, is illegal.
Regalian Holy Law III: To subject to vileness such as Demonism & Possession, and Frisit worship, is illegal.
Regalian Holy Law IX: To blaspheme against the Regalian Unionist faith & Spirit, is illegal.

Just moments before the tarring and feathering, Grand Commander Leufred du Brierüst, head of the Greywitch chapter, stated, "Taendross is a threat, mitigated only by her lack of common sense and generally stupid following. Regardless of how stupid someone is, they should be punished for breaking the law." Echoing his sentiments when asked for comment, Margrave Aleck Dunmore, a Vigilant Shield guardsman, said, "This stands as proof that crime never pays within the Holy City. The Violet Order is always watching, for the protection of the common citizen. Let this be a reminder to the criminal population of Regalia: We will not give in."

Shainvrel, known to be a priestess of sorts of the Isldar who refuse the hand of the state and worship Frisit, said before the punishment given that "{she} wouldn't give {the state} the satisfaction of fear," though later, not much could be heard through her screams. In response, Commander du Brierüst said: "Make company out of the beast's horror, for it pales in comparison to the suffering they've brought."

The Secretary of Faith, Jared Luchs Kade, expressed his appreciation for the Violets as he said, "I thank the Violet Order in their speedy capture of the aforementioned criminal. After the Violet Order sentenced and punished her as they saw fit, recruitment began for Frisit worshipping Isldar to serve the Imperial Dragon and restore their own faith's worth. Thanks to the effectiveness of the Violet Order, the Isldar of the Regalian Empire can begin their service in earnest."

These thoughts were expanded on by Elder of the Imperial Dragon Faith, Gwenyth Zylmoira: "The Secretary of Faith addressed all Isldar residing in this city, Frisit worshippers included. This is not the end for them. They have their options, and we will continue to give them until we cannot lend them anymore. The road to redemption begins with work and with effort. We will not reward idleness or cowardice."

The punishment of one criminal does not mean the mercy of the Spirit's hand is denied to those they lead; in fact, this paves the way for other Isldar to serve the State and our glorious Empire while still upholding their faith. The Violet Order dearly hopes that only good can come from this punishment in the future.

Signed and officiated by the seal of the Press Secretary,
Milena du Brierüst
Margravine of Nearhearth
Press Secretary of the Violet Order
Editor of the Imperial Times

Taendross Shainvrel laid within her office within the cistern of the Isldar when the paper was brought to her. Despite the flushed tone of her face and skin, she'd begin to look over the paper best she could. With eyes of cold glare, a lump began to form within her throat. A monster, were they right? she thought, has the dark within me finally come to light?
She questioned herself on the topic for a while, overlooking those within the cistern. The elves from the Snow lands learning, playing, having fun with no fear for their safety. Was everyone in danger whilst she was still alive? She didn't know. She didn't want to know. Her feet continued to lead her amongst her office, her hands running through her hair whilst surely enough, it felt like a boulder was on her chest. She knew she had to stay alive to fix the mistakes she'd made, she knew she must face her fears. She continued to repeat those words she repeated every minute she was forced through torture, the burning tar poured on her skin and her ears being carved. She knew her screams meant different, but she still repeated it. I am Taendross Mairthair Shainvrel, and I will not be afraid.

Läthai muttered as he saw the announcement, shaking his head with a chuckle.
"They're calling it redemption now? Pff. I'm screwed."

A black haired Isldar would stare at the notice for a good few moments, his hands.baing up into a fist as a faint blue glow would arise from his eyes. "It would appear that the Guards hold it out against Isldar. If one cannot worship what they wish in private, be able to defend themselves, or even stand up against the Chaos that reigns in this city, then the Law holds no true sense of justice." He'd begin to step away from the notice with a simple plan in mind. To stead the Corruption away from the city at all costs.

The aged Viridian Paladin stroked over his stately mustachioed upper lip as he drew a low breath over the parchment he read. "Seems a bit over dramatic, in light of many things. Granted they broke the law, but.. At the end of the day, was our peace and livelihood ever truly threatened?" He then glossed back over at the names listed, working to remember who these people were. "Margrave Dunmore. Last I had read of the name he was the head of the Gallovian Royal Guard. Now he's the Gallovian errand boy." He would shake his head, rising to his feet. The Lord Protector of the Drachenwald paced down the stairs of the von Drachenburg estate. His Order may be lacking in purpose, but he felt they had more whit than the current alternative.
