SEPTEMBER'S THEME:
THE CLOSED FIST GRASPS VICTORY!
In the age of Allestrain, tournaments were frequent and explosive. In the modern age, they persist, but are nowhere near the glory days of Regalian gladiatorial bouts. Vicelin of Praag, with funding from House du Poncaire, is hosting the first Tournament of the Eye. Themed, monthly tournaments to hopefully quell the thirst for glory and the bloodlust of the Regalian population. These tournaments are, each of them, dedicated to the great Gods Brand and Allest, and their battle-born love that has lasted generations.
This bout is themed after the march of victory, and the glorious return of Regalian patriots from the city of Amontaar. Attendees (and especially contestants) are encouraged to wear anything that they collected within the City of Sapphora, or garbs which remind them of the place which they've just fought in and for.
Half of all proceeds from food & drink sales go to Regalian charities.
RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT:
- Fights will go until one side surrenders or is unable to continue, or otherwise declared unable to safely continue by judges.
- Any attempts at lethality will be stifled and the offender removed & given to the Metropolitan.
- Magic is allowed, within reason. If magic is used to stall, overpower, or otherwise render the tournament unfun for spectators, the fight will be ruled against the magician.
- Illegal Occult shouldn't even bother applying.
(Fights will be done offscreen before the tournament starts in the weeks before, so that we can make each fight quick and short for spectators*. I'd really prefer it if the results of these fights are not revealed until the actual day of the tournament. Some people who apply may not get in, just for sake of my sanity in regards to scheduling these. Past experience with CRP is preferred)
(*I stole this fight format from Birdsfoot_Violet by the way.)
APPLICATION
