Everyone When A Noob Uses Lore Wrong

I remember when someone was trying to RP kill my char as a bounty hunter, and he basically God RPed the entire way through, and claimed that my Tigran "Couldn't hear anything in the rain, like talking" and later in ooc complained that I was a RP noob and that I shouldn't do any RP because I was terrible at it...
Even though he was a week old on the server and I was about a year old on the server...
I did allow him to take a bag of regals though,
It was actually worthless cobblestone anvil-ified to be regals.
His reaction when he found out was priceless.
And all I had to say was...

I completely agree with this.
No one here was suddenly gifted with a act for role-play, it's a skilled based activity, which means you need to learn it.
Some people are just not up to your standards yet, but I bet, at least a few of them in a few months will look back and laugh at you guys calling them "god role-players" or "noobs". I can definitely laugh at a few people who thought badly of me in my first few months.
Where's the "Sheep" rating?

Did you ever stop to think of how much flame you would cause...? People's feelings are important no matter what, and offending others because /you're/ offended doesn't help at all.
I think you're somewhat taking it out of context now.
I see it this way.
If someone isn't aware that their behavior is bad, then they continue to act as such, ignorant to other's opinions.
But if I/or anyone openly express and explain our disappointment in this behavior, they then are at the very least aware that what they are doing, and have the opportunity to change it.
Several people and I have expressed this, and following that there has been a lot less comments judging these noobs then previously.

At no given time in this thread, are the people who were offending the noobs or humiliating them, the victims.
That's like saying a guy who robs a bank is a victim in a court-room, because he feels isolated (obviously in a exaggerated context). As for people's feelings, I agree, and that's probably why I didn't completely express my whole anger on the topic, but maybe next time I'll make it clear that I am disappointing in people's "actions" and not in the human being they are (Though someone's actions, determine the person they are).

Everyone in the thread was completely fine until two people spoke up.
Now everyone's blindly following what they said.

Sheep.
Follower.

Good rating to add :)
You mean they were completely fine with acting inappropriate.
Be careful where you use the term blind, because they were blindly being offensive and inappropriate without viewing the consciences before it was brought up, now they are opening viewing them.

And are you implying having a rating that labels people are "sheep" or "followers" seeing as this is commonly used in a offensive manner, is a good idea? I'm sorry, I don't agree with that.

They were joking my friend.
Joking.
This wasn't a personal assault against anyone.
We've all been there. It's fun to laugh and joke about the general derpyness of learning to RP, and fooling around that goes on before that.

Except the pro people who knew how to RP before getting on here.

"If you can't laugh at yourself, you have no right to laugh at anyone else."

Look I'm just about done spamming this thread, however, your sense of joking is warped. You're not laughing at yourself, you're laughing at others. Not only are you humiliating others, you're offending them, and joking at the extent of someone's elses well-being is not okay, at least in my eyes, especially on a public forums where anyone can view.
Try reading a comedy book is you want to learn humor. Over and out/.

He could've been laughing at himself too, what are you, a psychic? You seem to be insulting others now too. Hypocrite. Also, comedy books have worse senses of humour. I'm done with this, this thread was just meant to be full of good laughs.

All of you honestly sicken me.

EDIT: Let me rephrase before a crapstorm starts erupting.

I am completely disappointed by all of you. If I were to pull up the logs and search up every name upon this thread, I would wager that very few of you have actually tried to help people improve their roleplay. I've seen it on the street; your feeble attempts at 'helping' them is a heartless ((Read the lore, noob)), before ignoring them completely.

While these 'noobs' are very irritating on their own, they aren't going to improve if you make a /public humiliation thread/ on the official forums. This sort of crap shouldn't be tolerated, as it's mindless hate-mongering. Why not take the effort to introduce the lore in a friendly and inviting way, rather than expending it by searching up stupid, tastless GIFs to post on this thread?

We all started /there/. These 'noobs' deserve to be treated with far more respect than the lot of you are giving here. Today, they learn. Tomorrow, they may go on to teach.
I agree. Don't start whining when that noob eventually is better at you in RP'ing, whilst you once said to him he's annoying/irritating. I couldn't have said it better myself </3, SirTinkles
But c'mon people, every single one of you started out just like them. We are all equal.

Just putting this out there, my gif post on the first page was referring to God RPers who screw around for giggles. It was made with humorous intent, and not meant to be offensive in any way. The people who actually do the things described in my post are likely doing it on purpose for fun, it just gets annoying after a bit, so I was posting the my average reactions to their shenanigans. I do like to help people out with RP whenever I can, when they truly seem to have limited knowledge about the lore.

Someone should lock this thread as it has turned into a shitfest.

Suggestion:
Know how when you enter the tavern it comes up with a message? Why not replace it with something like "Have you read the lore? *Insert link*"
Considering everyone just hates on the noobs, and the noobs just ignore the people. Why not try a message from the server itself? that should (I feel) help them listen at least a bit more.

You can't fight fire with fire, it only ends up in more devastation.

I'm not playing a game of "You did that" "you did this".
I'm explaining my disappointment in this attitude I saw on this thread, so at least some people can go away with this notion, and understand that what they say does affect people.

After reviewing this whole thread I have to just lock it up. It derailed from page two and turned into a FLAME thread.
