Archived Drop Vote Regals To 3r/vote

This thread topic has been suggested in many other threads, but has never actually been a thread individually by itself. So here it is.

Back in the day, there were about 3 voting sites. You got 3r from each site. Then it got bumped to 10r per site. So instead of a measly 9r per day, you got 30r, enough to pay for a month's rent in a poor district hovel.

Today, we have 17 sites. While some may not work at times, the 10r per vote still exists, meaning you can make 170r in 5 minutes literally clicking a few pictures.

I propose that we go back to the old regal yield of 3r per vote. This would give you 51r a day, which is a great improvement to 170r a day.

So a few concerns I want to bring up:

• I need regals to pay for my Regalian upkeep.
  • If you vote every day for a week, you would make 357 regals. That's enough to pay for your rent. If you own three regions averaging 900r a month, vote every day and you will be able to pay for upkeep, plus some more in reserves. There is no issue for regalian upkeep by changing this voting yield.
  • Job Isle at the bare minimum yields 45r a day. So if you can't vote, you an do job isle. It's just a matter of if you want to put in 5 minutes to make easy money.
• I need regals to pay for my faction upkeep
  • Same thing applies for regalian housing.
  • I will accept the fact that faction upkeep is daily and not monthly. But if your faction costs you more money in expenses than you make in income, consider downsizing your faction to an affordable amount.
• I need regals to pay for my market stall
  • see regalian housing

I believe I've highlighted the main groups that would be impacted with this feature, and provided an easy way to adjust finances should this feature be implemented.

Note: This does not factor in the regal lottery, which should be kept as is. At best, you get 200r every other day, which never happens.

Yeah I've gotten 200 like twice

I personally see this only allowing the rich to get richer and poor to get poorer.

As someone who is neither, this would severely impact how I function on the server. I can get behind dropping the regal amount, but 3 is far to strong a cut imo.

5r could be a fine compromise. As long as the reward is at least halved, it should help.

As long as upkeep is brought back to 1r per 10, 5r is fine.

I would be fine with 5r per site, to be honest at the moment not counting the broken sites, you get 160 r per day for free. cutting that down to 80 r a day would be fine. Thats still just 4-5 full vote-sets a month to afford any houses in regalia.
