On the morning of October nineteenth, Imperial bureaucrats and Kade Court Officials alike were tirelessly rushing between the Government Assembly hall and the main Bureaucracy. One after another they gingerly, yet eagerly, delivered crate after crate of papers and documents to the Hall of Emperor's quarter of the now mostly unused Imperial Palace. Statues of the previous Emperors kept stalwart, unblinking eyes on the proceedings, with the public being permitted seating within the Palace's galleries that adorned the skirting of the room's interior. The various public officials each started to unceremoniously break open the crates, sorting out the various pieces of parchment that leaked from the boxes, noting aspects of each onto decorated and official government parchment. Papers were tossed aside and counted in tandem to the whispers and muttering both between the bureaucrats and the public in viewing. It was obvious that the tallying of the District Favor Election votes was well on the way.

After a few hours, it began to dawn on the tellers that there was a clear candidate in the lead, much to the dismay of some and utter shock of others. Rodderick Howlester, who stood as Imperial Steward over the tallying, was given the preliminary voting tally to view. An array of whispers began to fill the room as decorated bureaucrats deliberated over the initial findings with some curling their moustaches both in intrigue and scorn. The hum of whispering voices drew to a close as the Imperial Steward resigned himself to a table in the back of the room. By the time the midday sun was in the sky, practically all of the crates that had been carted into the palace that morning lay empty next to desks and strewn to various areas of the room. With one last check over the final count, the results were ready to be announced. The Imperial Steward stood at the head of the room while scribes hastily documented his words and put them to paper for the various announcement boards and heralds to read aloud.

At the closing, House Yaotl had secured 29% of the cities overall voting population, a surprising number given Cro-Zzhin Yaotl's status as a non-ailor, and especially in contrast to the second place Ailor candidate family, House Peirgarten whom achieved 16% of the votes. House de Letoirneau, a baronial House, came in third with an overall 11% of the vote, with House von Rahm trailing in behind them with 9%. Competing for fifth, House Harhold and House Black secured 6% of the vote each, followed by House's Sorenvik and Viduggla, both notable Houses within the Northern region of the Empire tying at 5% of the vote each. Surprisingly, there was a three-way contention for second last place, with Houses Ravenstad, von Bruhl and Delmotte drawing 3% of the vote, and bringing up the rear to the three, Houses Carwell and Drache tied for last place with 2% of the vote.

After the results were heard, the crowd began to steadily disperse from the palace to convey what they had heard to their friends, family and various tea circles. The results were certainly going to raise a brow with even the most staunch of the aristocracy, and many were left wondering what the general opinion of the Crown Prince would be on the matter. What was certain was that with the voting completed and finally placed aside, the new Regalian Government Assembly was ready to convene within the coming days, with many interests being piqued as to how the Nobility themselves would take news of the voting results and how it would affect their ideals in the debates to come.

"Think of it this way," whispered Chris, very quietly to Dianne. "If we went into the exotic pets trade, snakes and alligators and the like, they'd be REALLY popular with the commoners." @darkarely

"Second place." Rodrigo Peirgarten read aloud for his wife, Amelina, while Marie and Julius stood by. However his face was not one of pleasantry, rather a look of grump. He looked to his wife again, brought a hand to her chin, looked her in the eyes. "First in the next." He said ambitiously.

Sophia walked out of the palace, her maid to her right, as she had her fan cover her mouth when she whispered.
"They recieved 29% of the votes, has the entire city lost its mind? Voting for a non-ailor. By the spirit."

She closed her fan as she ran into her family. "Third place- one can't complain." She hushed to those gathered.

Winifred sighed softly and pressed her palm to her face, "Everyone voted for a Non-Ailor. I don't get it."

Azzidi does a fist-pump, knocking over a bottled butterfly. "Allar power!"

Within the Enclave circle the Digmaan lifted his arms to the roar of the racial menagerie which surrounded him.

"Continue forward with the next phase. We walk a bright path ahead of us."

Falik Nilayn would sound surprised at the results, "I'm surprised that the Allar won, but I most likely would've voted for him if Kathar were allowed to vote."

Llazzil bowed to the Digmaan, "Congratulations, Great Digmaan." @Freema

Aelfric Harhold tottered along through the Palace's Galleries, examining the statues of previous Emperors, recent Emperors. He found himself a few minutes late, swiftly finding a seat. His gaze fell upon those sorting the papers.

The elder Reverend nodded when the news was received. He rose with the assistance of someone and his cane, before tottering along. Confusion was found upon his visage, however it was suppressed with a nod. He continued off to his carriage.

"This will eventually cause an uproar," Elisabeth said upon hearing the news. "Now we'll just wait before the first Ailor makes their statement."
