Why doesn't real life tactics matter in mine craft? I can be just as invincible in a castle in real life or in minecraft. The tactics are almost the same. You are limited by the game in minecraft, but again, the tactics are easily transferable. And for those who believe that having an invincible base doesn't matter, I do believe having an invulnerable base will keep you a lot safer then trying to make your warriors your walls, this is Sparta style. Don't believe this? I believe Alamut has been invulnerable for a long time due to their base. I have not seen it, but from what I have heard in the forums, (ok seen) this is the case.

We kinda just come out of our base when people raid us though cause we are generally bored of the game and want any action we can get. Technically everyone's base is invulnerable, just walk in a house and close the door.

@Those who say mcmmo means nothing compared to skill.

There are two key factors to PvP: Damage Output and Damage Intake.

Taking massive damage via fantastic armor with the best enchants and potions available covers your damage intake. Even some mcmmo skills can mitigate damage, like acrobatics, counter attack, arrow deflect.

Damage Output consists of enchanted weapons, appropriate portions, and bonus damage via mcmmo.

To sum it up, mcmmo grinders hit way harder and take a lot less damage.

So is mcmmo important in PvP?

Where is Endril and Wambo?... The mighty maiar faction with the mighty maiar paladins demands a spot on the list. They worked hard for what they've become.

Hisoka? You can ender pearl in quite easily with the amount of holes in it..
Unfortunately this is the case, for the city itself only. Both castles are less easily infiltrated, and it was never said that the tree dome was impregnable.

I defy you to get into the secure areas in my castle...

Does mcmmo matter? Um.. Duh. It wouldn't be there if it didn't. First of all. Your power level is one of the best indicators for how active and productive you are. If you have 500 mcmmo, I feel you won't last long in a war when it comes to resources. So my opinion of the super low level unproductive player winning against someone like Cowboys or Mac is.. good job son, some squirrels make it across the street in front of a car, but most become pavement paint.

There are 2 aspects to pvp when it comes to actual fighting.. There are 1v1's which most experienced and leveled players go 50/50 most of the time unless there's an unlucky amount of counters or -30% from factions. Then there's battles which.. honestly out of every pvp game I've ever played... this server, it's community, and the game in general is the most exhilarating of them all, and in addition, the most rewarding.

Anyways, larger battles remind me a lot of League of Legends/Dota. Things like positioning, not hesitating, having the best gear and kit for your playstyle, knowing when to commit or when to back off and not over commit, and communicating with your team are all similar aspects for pvp here on Massive. And mcmmo is a MAJOR factor in this. If you don't believe me.. ask those who have lost their favorite named weapon to a disarm, or alternatively, those who start cracking up at someone trying to take a 1k unarmed person's weapon..

Back to the point of the thread.. thanks for recognizing the numbers. They do say alot. Anyone who thinks otherwise is too lazy or just not interested like we are to immerse themselves in all of what this server has to offer.

Towns aren't meant to be impregnable and the treedome was never finished. However when Castle Mirk still stood it was fairly difficult to get in (this is assuming all the trapdoors were closed -_-) and Alteris Fortress, besides having never been attacked (lol) was built by Cruall and probably has no weak points. Also, the Mages College cannot be accessed from the outside unless it's gates are open. I suggest you make an attempt at finding a hole in Enclave Rock, our underground fortress-city in Ellador.
