Anyone can place a bounty here However anyone replying to the bounty must do so in Conversation.

It needs to go like this.

Target: Name

Reason: Explain why you want him killed.

Proof: List any number of ways to prove you killed him. (An item or Forcing the target to message the client.)

Pay: Put down how much you are willing to pay. No less than 30 silver. (The stronger he is or the harder he is to track down the more you will have to pay for people to kill him. The reason you do no less than 30 silver is so that people noobs don't put up bounties for people that they don't really have a reason they aren't willing to pay for. I don't want this to be something like "He called me noob after I asked him over 9000 times to tell me where the tavern is. Here is 2 silver if you kill him." Because then every living soul will have a bounty and loads of noobs will be out there harrassing people who really don't deserve it.

Once a bounty has been completed update the post so that It says Completed at the bottom. Then people will know that they can't get money for killing that guy again.

If you want to kill the target again It should cost a minimum of 10 silver more. This is so no one abuses the bounties and one person is harrassed for eternity.

If any admin has a problem with this thread please ask me to edit it or message me through a conversation if you have deleted it along with an explanation on why.

But I still believe taht there should be some kind of bounty hunting system.

There used to be a bounty system.

Yeah, there was a plugin for it, but I think the idea of player made bounty system instead of a plugin based one would still be pretty cool.

Is there a reason why there's not anymore?

This is just a guess, but it was probably removed because it had no limits other than the player's money. Anyone could simply place a bounty "just because" or "for teh lulz".

no it was mainly because of this happening (or something like it)
  1. player a puts a bounty on player b
  2. player b is in a faction with player c
  3. player b leaves faction
  4. player b gets player c to kill him
  5. player b rejoins the faction
  6. player c and player b split the bounty and player c gives back any items player b had when he died
  7. player a has just given free money to his enemy and his enemy's friend

Target: MrPointyToe
Reason: He got a pointy toe.
Proof: Send me screenshots on forums
Pay: 5s

We need more bounty hunters. Perhaps not ones who charge so highly, but they're a welcome sight.

As a ranger, and thus a hunter of bandits and assassins, expect a visit from me Beowwulf ;)

You can have the proof be the players most valuable item. So they may get money but he loses something he worked hard for. Or stole but still really liked it.

Just want to note that Mechbank will pay the amounts listed to people can catch loan defaulters and convince them to pay up.

Mechbank Defaulter Bounty System:_______________
Mechbank isn't exactly the combat war machine that mercenaries are so naturally it needs people who will enforce the payment of loans. These enforcers are whoever gets there first and manages to succeed.

Disclaimer: if you die and lose your stuff it is not my problem.
Disclaimer: Mechbank is not responsible for the actions of people enforcing it's loans. You should have paid them.

The enforcement system works as a bounty system based on loan size:

  • Loans 50 silver or less: 9% of loan (10s loan = .9 silver payment, 50 silver loan = 4.5 silver payment)
  • Loans 51s to 100 silver: 8% of loan (51 silver loan = 4.08 silver payment, 100 silver loan = 8 silver payment)
  • Loans 101s to 150 silver: 7% of loan (101 silver loan = 7.07 silver payment, 150 silver loan = 10.5 silver payment)
  • Loans 151 to 200 silver: 6% of loan (151 silver loan = 9.06s payment, 200 silver loan = 12 silver payment)
  • Loans over 200 silver: 5% of loan (201 silver loan = 10.05 silver payment, 550 silver loan = 27.5 silver payment)
Loans that can be enforced are always under the "Default Loans" section of the thread. I don't care how you do it but if you succeed you will be paid, if you fail it's on you. Anyone can attempt to enforce payment of a loan but only the first person to post a picture of it will get the silver for doing to job.

Good luck in your enforcement! Mechbank thanks your for your assistance.

you put a bounty on someone in your faction?

perhaps we can ask the admins to make a bounty hunters license. Where you apply on the forums and then if you have an approved roleplay character and good enough mcmmo skills plus the admins trust you enough they grant you with permission to hunt bounties on this thread. And restrict all other threads from having bounties. That way no one could abuse it like that or risk getting their license taken away.

Seriously no one has any enemies they are willing to pay to kill?

The problem with bounty hunting on Massive is that you pay someone a big amount of silver for something that will probably only annoy them for a ninute, being killed on Massive as a premium really doesn't do that much, you will probably not get anything out of it other than the kill message.

This is far less the 30s, but here goes:

Target: Frankenfry

Reason: He killed my prized 10s Pure bred horse, along with the entire stable. He also griefed my RP character's favorite place to sit and read a book, and threatens to do more damage. I want him put in his place.

Proof: Get a screenshot of his death and show me it via the forums.

Pay: 3s, plus all of the items he may be carrying.

This bounty is revoked due to me being bored.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Let's face it Franken. you have no combat skills whatsoever, and your not well equipped either. Your not worth much.

Now, if you were a premium with god armor and weps, I would gladly post a bounty of atleast 50s

You question someone else's worth... but fail to spell "You're" properly... Yup. He's totally not worth anything compared to you. (facepalm)

and now I have a bounty on my head, for speaking my mind :l

Oh Goody.

P.S.
Anyone else find it slightly funny that only one request for a bounty has been put on here, but loads of messages of random crap have been posted? Including this one :D

Remember with bounty hunting your asking us to track down some guy who knows he is being hunted and possibly dieing and losing all of their equipment. Or breaking their armor. And that is probably worth more than 30 silver. Yet one guy up there asks for 3 sivler as payment.

When I started this thread it was meant as a means for rich people to pay strong people to teach their enemies a lesson and possibly to be used for their own ends.

As an example if you know a non premium who has nice armour and a good weapon you can have him hunt down and provide those items as the proof. You don't have to hate the guy or even mildly dislike him. Just as long as killing him benefits you enough to pay 30 silver.

If enchanted armors and weapons and such lower likewise the price of bounty hunting will too.

I like this bounty system, it makes sense especially being all player driven. AaronChuey your land is unsafe, I've started a new faction in the north as you already know. Just remember, not all looks as it seems. We have allies in high places. Bring your "Hunters" I look forward to seeing them fail.
