FROM THE DESK OF THE BELLIARD REPRESENTATIVE
A PROCLAMATION
Since the creation of Puretek a year ago, the Guilds of Saint Belliard have saw it fit to equip dutiful, upstanding Ailor in defense against the ever present supernatural forces which exist in our societies. But to carry a Puretek goes beyond the concept of simply defending one against these supernatural forces. For a sword or bow is just as effective in protecting one's life, and both are able to be carried via the permits issues by the city guard. To be a Puretek holder is to willingly subscribe to an ideology that many are contrary towards, or do not fully understand.
However, there is a group that does not fully believe or adheres to the tenants of the Belliard Guilds. I speak of the hypocrites who proclaim purity only to break bread with the very same individuals such an ideology speaks out against. Those who would utilize Puretek to fulfill their own selfish desires, and to the detriment of those who brought forth this invention in the first place. Those who would turn this device into an ordinary tool for others to use, with its true meaning perverted and destroyed. Such has been the concern of many, and today those concerns are addressed.
As an honorary member of the Guilds of Saint Belliard and with a chapter house functioning within my own home capital, I have heard the concerns of the Forges and our desire to preserve the integrity of our society. As such, I have met with his Eminence the Lord Chancellor, who has seen it fit to appoint me as the State Representative of the Guilds, in order to address the Puretek matter within the Crown Isle. It is therefore by my prerogative in this capacity to issue the following proclamation:
- Any and all who possess a Puretek weapon are to present them to the Belliard Representative for inspection.
- During this inspection, these individuals will undergo an interview in regards to the Belliard Purist ideology, why they secured Puretek in the first place, and why they should be permitted to continue to utilize Puretek.
- Those who pass inspection and the interview will be granted the privilege to utilize Puretek within the City of Regalia by means of a seal and permit from the Belliard Representative.
- Those who fail inspection and/or interviewing, or fail to present their Puretek to the Belliard Representative, will have their Puretek confiscated and returned to the Belliard Guilds.
- Furthermore, any who are caught possessing Puretek in public on the Crown Isle without a permit shall be liable to prosecution for violation of Regalian Common Law Section B Subsection 1: "Wearing a weapon in public without express permission from the appropriate authorities to do so is illegal."
- Puretek owners are granted a fortnight grace period to register their Puretek weapons before enforcement of the permits goes into effect.
As we rebuild out empire, let us ensure that our honor remains resolute.
SIGNED AND STAMPED,
His Grace Dietrich I
March-Elector of the Drachenwald Lordship
Belliard Representative of the Crown Isle
OOC Notes
- Anyone who owns a Puretek on the Crown Isle is now required to register their weapons with the Belliard Representative.
- Players can register in one of two ways:
- Send a forum conservation to FireFan96 in the form of a letter to the Belliard Representative, indicating why they should be allowed to use Puretek in the city. They should also indicate the Puretek weapon being sent with the letter, describing any notable characteristics of it (such as custom seals, wear and tear, etc.)
- Update: use "Puretek" in the title of the forum conversation so I can filter out messages.
- Catch me in game for a rp interview. While this option is preferential for many reasons, sometimes out schedules just can't align. I will try to be more available over the next two weeks to facilitate, but if it's not possible, send a forum convo.

- There is a 2 week-grace period to continue to use Puretek without a permit. After that time frame, everyone must have a permit or risk losing their privileges.
- Registered Puretek users will exist on a private spreadsheet for record keeping, with an in-game minecraft book given for use in roleplay instances.
