Battle Of The Old Rivergrand

Hmmm.....

You know, this would be an interesting time for the citizens of Hadar. Perhaps the Former Chrysant Kingdoms could find a new foe to fight. If only there was someone to lead them.

I think its time I actually start doing something for a change, rather than just watching chaos idly.

Charging into a castle all by yourself? This is going to end with all of us like...

I be storming the castle like

i would say a more stealthy approach is needed for saving william

Perhaps i can lie in wait while he storms the castle and sneak in :3

Hmm...I remember my character signing up to join in the fighting here...yet I haven't seen him mentioned or been contacted...would someone mind clarifying this for me? There seems to be something I don't know. Although my absence in this battle is good, now there is a competent tactician to assist in recovering from this debacle.

I would like to sign up for a rescue attempt, if someone else is willing to assist! And FWI...my plan is quiet, involves stealth, and will be quite thought out when I get more information. And my character is quite capable of this.

I also put my name down in the very beginning, though have only seen myself once in any battle. I'm not sure what exactly happens, but I hope mine is in the next.

Who ever wishes to join up to save william tag this post

This is kind of the problem of not cultivating in-game roleplay relationships with the people in charge. It's quite possible the people who you signed up simply forgot you existed or signed up, as they deliver the roster for the next battle to me when I ask for it.

It's sort of the unintentional yet effective, and in my opinion fair, side effect of not roleplaying.

Damian Teach (@davis1814) is putting together a team to save his friend, Cassius Paloin, and needs an archer if you're interested. There's an IC forum convo. if you can't make it IG.

Also, anyone out there a gunpowder expert?

One could say that there is a difference between not roleplaying, and not forming relationships with those who's social status is far above my own...however both apply in my case. Anyway, I will have a chance to remedy this since Ulric Typhonus is stepping down from his position...when will his replacement be announced?

I am quite interested. I might be able to make it IG, but I'll need information. And the IC forum convo is probably good too.

The Tactician, Yani Cydin, who had no formal training had sent the troops straight into the sinking muds, where the cavalry promptly got stuck and was unable to charge.
Octo'd of been like "Ya see, we gonna stay on this side of the river, have the cavalry perform sweeping maneuvers against their exposed flanks as they engage with our front liners, spears and pikes, if they can't reach us, then they can't hurt us. Archers on either side with bodkin arrows, they'll fire and funnel the qadir into the path of our sweeps and our thicker lines."

But dat didn happen, and octo was sad.

Cruallassar would have somehow snuck a battalion of calvary around behind their lines, then set up a defensive formation on our side of the river. They attack, we hold fast, the calvary blasts into them from behind. Of course I would need a good map of the land to know of that is possible...
