I've recently purchased the wonderful island of Avgard! It is a grand city, and I have many thing planned for it. I know its history is rich, but i'd love to know more about, so one day when the island host another full fledged faction, I can tell members the island's humble start accurately. I'd love to know who all has owned it, what they did with it, and which owners did the most with it (Ex - Hosted a faction, Rp, etc.) I'd love to also hear any stories around the island, or maybe just your person experience of when it was an active faction.​
The following is a list of people I know have had encounters with Avgard at one time or another and would love to hear their accounts/stories. Don't be shy!​

Ah, Avgard, remember back when the 9th was in control of the island with our sub-faction(currently known as Thaelyn). A week after our occupation, Yggdrasil decided to part from us and sold the island to some of the servers most annoying players(I won't mention names!), from there I don't know who got further ownership.

The last I heard (until this thread ofc) Yapudtofu still owned it.

As far as I know, ever since we've left it, it's been passed around from pleb to pleb. /shrug

It is wrong that the great history of such unique places should dissapear into the darkness of oblivion. Hiding history from the light would be like hiding the truth to a court. Thomas. Let the world learn the truths about this island. For the sake of history.

Thaelyn was your old sub-faction? Or is it still your sub? // I've heard many tales from andrewh97 of that .. strange building behind the manor. Including people being thrown into a cage *Cough* BabaManga Spekster *Cough*

On Topic: The only time I have ever been the Avgard, I saw many things that were... unpleasant... :&

Pleb? No no no. I am far from a pleb. While it's true the island isn't in the best of shapes at the moment, I soon plan to change all of that. starting with tearing down the city and building a more themed, organized city. The things to stay are as follows....
  • The castle
  • The church
  • The courthouse
  • The port
  • The jousting arena
  • Club Boom Boom
  • Select houses within the city (not decided yet)

I went there once to sightsee, another to raid with ulu and you, and another to say hi to Posidem.

None of those times did I ever actually kill anybody. ;-;
 
Yapudetofu and i bought it a long time ago to theninjabottles and then i sold my part to yapu

I used to be Yggdrasil Leader :3 and yes we bought it from a guy I forgot the complete name ninja something I think...
At that time co-leader of Yggdrasil (Kevencolis) and me bought together the Island from him .
Then I bought Keven part, I owned it a looooooong time without working on it.

avgard was a lovely city, built by purplestarhip with very very very very little help from me or anyone else, and i'm happy to credit the entire construction of the city to purplestarship :P.
secrety secrets that i know of~~~~
there are probably atleast 3-5 different hidden underground portal rooms scattered throughout the island, due to previous connections to the other larger factions. we initially suspected alamut, 9thlegion(until we established some embassy), & factions associated with the both.
the events that i can remember that occurred in avgard swag~~~~~
  • my regrettable wedding wit tom
tom aint cute no more & im still pregnant wit his bby & he aunt got the man spheres 2pay child support
the wedding kicked off with my death, and after i arrived at the avgard church i was greeted with so many excited ppl and i got roses and money and everyone loved me and not tom because im cuter. the wedding was mainly walrusian-esque as only walrusian wedding traditions were practiced, such as the public threesome at the foot of the altar with the husband, wife, & the father. after such events commenced, mrsbaver arrived fashionably kate to my wedding and when i confronted her and told her her dress was ratchet as hell she got all mad and startin killin ppl, u know, the usual. after the hoe died, we all partied until me and tom actually consummated our marriage (i was probs asleep the entire time tbh) and yeh thts it i think
  • the many many many parties of club boom boom
avgard has hosted a variety of donation parties & celebrations of naked ppl & stuff, many of which ended with volcanic eruptions, people accidentally left in locked cages, dazed naked strangers, & reely bad hang overs.
  • idk any more ok
okay im cute and everything bye :* oh and what the heckity is pink cloud

Da fuq did I just read:| Thank you for sharing, I guess. While Avgard has it's history, I do not think keeping to its "traditions" will be strongly encouraged.

Ok well if you didn't already know I originally build and owned Avgard. We had a previous city in Ceradia called Aritsan which I also sold and then camped out to gather materials for Avgard until Ellador came out. When Ellador came out we fought for the island against crackpotatoe and ulumulu but since we were the first to get there and claim land the entire island was ours.

The castle was previously planned and I actually planned to expand it and make it larger but never got around to it. The church I built on a wing where I didn't really know what I was going to build but it turned out to be my pride and joy of the city. Club Boom Boom was actually built to impress MonMarty enough to let me build into Regalia thats why its in a different style than everything else. The giant lava cave was said to have came out of the rage of Mrs. Baver and where her secret hideout was on the island which was later planned to become a place for the Agni of the island. The room underneath the fountain was actually a love room for the Queen and nleer who she was briefly engaged to.

At one point everything in the city that I hadn't built I tore down such as the barracks and rebuilt. The farm was never my responsibility as everything else was but probably because of that is why it was never finished. Since the new races had came out and Avgard was not a biased city I had areas planned out for each race on a part of the island but I couldn't have been bothered with doing it all since remix00zero was the only person who helped build and he was only in charge of doing the sewers for the island(for vampires) which I may say are quite wonderful. I had a folder on my computer of the maps and plans and things I was planning on building on the island as I was going to revamp the entire city but I seem to have deleted or just misplaced the folder.

We had several encounters with Mrs. Baver on the island as she held some sort of grudge against the Queen. The mountain was lit on fire several times. The Queen had guards that escorted her around the island as well. The parties at Club Boom Boom were often crashed by raiders though we all continued partying through them. There was briefly another faction on the north side of the island; Renegade, Tom1804s faction. Avgard briefly had there own empire or whatever you want to call it. We had a few sub factions under us that we provided materials for and such. The military was led by atomickipper and then BoomedOne who both ended up leaving the faction.

Avgard was sold when it was because it was during a dark time for the city and the queen was utterly done with it for a number of reasons. She wished to have nothing else to do with the city which is why if you try and bring it up with her now she might get a little tense. But furthermore the city was sold to the TheNinjaBottles for 1200 silver. And the handful of people in charge at Avgard moved out to a secluded fortress in the northern icelands of Ellador and have rarely been heard from since.

Not an insult, simply a term for the more.. basic part of the population. Anyhow, I'm writing out the history now. Be patient, pleb.
 
Is my basement of club boom boom still intact? Oh I miss the stripper pole ;-; where men from all corners of the world gave me money for entertainment :3

I cringe slightly every time I see that building, knowing it's pretty much a strip club. Then I try to remember all the other history on the island and then spend the next ten minutes jumping around the church or castle, or just marveling at the city, and thinking how big the island is.
