She has one older sibling named Sigtrygg, a pure Ailor of mixed Velheim and Tarkkin heritage. Her mother, an anthropologist studying the Tarkkin, was reasonably wealthy and thus allowed for Auli-Ksai to spend half of the year on the Outer Isles. Her upbringing was a mix of Tarkkin and Sihai. She had a daughter named Stefania Olimpia that unfortunately died not long after her birth. Auli-Ksai moved to Regalia in search of employment, following after her Sigtrygg. She works several jobs to make ends meet, including but not limited to: The Bronze Dragonet Nordlig Kettle La Esmeralda Visual Information Eye Color: Periwinkle. Hair Color: Chestnut brown. Hair Style: Worn up in buns with chopsticks holding it together. Skin Color: An almost sickly peach hue. Clothing: Either clad in various kimonos or the apron-like colorful attire of the Sudemo. Height: 5'4 Personality Alignment: Neutral Good "A neutral good character typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. A neutral good character has no problems with cooperating with lawful officials, but does not feel beholden to them. In the event that doing the right thing requires the bending or breaking of rules, they do not suffer the same inner conflict that a lawful good character would." Personality type The Mediator A hybridization of the Tarkkin Old Fayth and that of the Sihai's dragon-worship. 8/10 - Most formal religious activities are taken part in to adhere to cultural norms. Given that her beliefs have no written doctrine, Auli-Ksai does it all on her own and partakes in worship as she sees fit. In her view, tampering with magic is not something inherently wrong. Life Story Auli-Ksai was born to the Sudemo tribesman Mikkel Kemiläinen and his Sihai wife Ku'ie Wusai during the midsummer festival of Sydäsuvi, located a few miles outside Vadrahammarand. Ku'ie, a wandering anthropologist, fell in love during an expedition to Drixagh and decided to help raise Mikkel's son from a prior marriage, Sigtrygg. Despite being an outsider, Ku'ie acted as the dominant partner in the relationship and helped sort through affairs when the family ventured out of Drixagh. Ku'ie took it upon herself to bring Auli-Ksai to the outer isles of Dexai so her daughter retained a firm grasp on her cultural heritage. Given the cultural stigma of having an Estling child, Ku'ie referred to Auli-Ksai as her ward, not her blood, whenever they were visiting the outer isles. This shift in demeanor from a loving mother in Drixagh to a closed-off mentor near Dexai served to confuse Auli-Ksai greatly, and she began to view her very existence as shameful. It was a stark contrast to the Sudemo tribe she was born in, as all of them wanted Auli-Ksai to feel loved and welcomed. Whenever other Sihai were present, Ku'ie made sure to distance herself as much as possible from her daughter. Auli-Ksai greatly admired her mother and sought to become an anthropologist of equal if not greater renown. She picked up Wa'an with ease and seamlessly switched between it and Emänkeel in daily use. In addition, traveling with her brother Sigtrygg through Drixagh allowed her to pick up Skodje. Her upbringing as a mixed-race child instilled in her a deep interest in world languages and cultures. Half of the year would be spent in the outer isles of Dexai, and the remaining half traveling with the Sudemo through Drixagh. Mikkel and the rest of the Sudemo tribe took Sigtrygg and Auli-Ksai on frequent hunting trips through the vast forests of Drixagh, where they began to hone their abilities in pathfinding as well. Where Ku'ie taught Auli-Ksai book smarts, Mikkel taught her street (or in this case, forest) smarts. Furthermore, she developed a strong sense of religious duty to serve the gods of her father and the dragons in her mother's culture. Intensive tutelage under Ku'ie allowed for Auli-Ksai to learn Old Ceardian by the time she was 25. She also attended university in Portimao, Lusits to learn Old-Daen in more depth, thus incurring crippling student debt. To pay off some of the tuition funds, Auli-Ksai took a job as a bartender, and a fairly decent one at that. Between bartending and her anthropological studies, she also joined a circus troupe which eventually found its way to Dracali. Her natural affinity for climbing trees made Auli-Ksai an excellent acrobat. The troupe taught her some spells in whimsy sorcery to enhance her performance skills. A raid in Dracali resulted in Auli-Ksai being seized from the circus troupe and into the stampedes of the fearsome Szabadok. She was taken back to Szülőföld by an infatuated man known as Kazimir, and the pair married shortly thereafter. Auli-Ksai was originally terrified of him, but his gallant nature and eagerness to bond with his wife had him teach her horseriding and other elements of the Szabadok culture. Nine months later, their child was born: A frail girl whom Kazimir named Stefania Olimpia. The new parents were elated and treasured their daughter above all else. Up until the last trimester of her pregnancy, Auli-Ksai went horseback riding every day with Kazimar and the rest of the stampede. Perhaps as a result of this, the baby's life was cut drastically short by an unknown illness. To make matters worse, Kazimir unfortunately died in a valiant battle against the Ania just outside Dracali, leaving behind his wife. Auli-Ksai was left free, albeit utterly alone. Broken and distraught, Auli-Ksai bid her farewell to the Szabadok who at this point considered her family and were disheartened at the loss of three people held dear to them. She returned to Vadrahammarand to reconvene with Sigtrygg who then brought her back to the nomadic Sudemo tribe. There she found her mother and father who welcomed her with open arms and comforted her crying with stories and hugs. Time began to heal the poor Estling scholar whose dead husband and daughter replaced crippling student debt as primary concerns. She took solace in her studies and attained mastery of the Old Ceardian language, praying to the gods in times of great stress. This further attuned her to ritualism. At 31, Auli-Ksai finally ventured to Regalia with Sigtrygg in search of greater adventures.
Weaknesses Insecurity. Indecisiveness Susceptibility to depression Unresolved grief Pessimism Spoiler Describe any number of Character Quirks your character has, strange behavior that they exhibit in certain situations. For example, a character rubbing a beard when nervous is a quirk, or a character biting their lips when doing math is a quirk, or a character shuffling their feet when talking to someone is a quirk. Quirks are not mandatory and may be left out if the writer doesn’t want to include them or can’t think of any. Auli-Ksai tends to ramble and stumble over her words whenever she's nervous. If she's speaking quickly, chances are she's overwhelmed and struggling to figure out what precisely to do. Describe your character’s skills; abilities they’ve developed, but not necessarily put at the forefront of their lives. For example, if your character is a good cook, but not a chef, or if they are a good horse rider but not necessarily a competition racer, you would mention them here. Feel free to mention multiple skills but try to keep your character from becoming over skilled. How does your character feel towards their family?
