Fliers were being handed out through the city, a copy also hung upon the Crookback noticeboard and the one outside Greygate.

From the desk of the Armaments Officer:
As many of you may know, I, Enheduanna Abansaddi, have been awarded the task of distribution of armaments permits. The following is going to be a brief overview of the process of gaining a permit, what constitutes the approval or denial of a permit and some rules that those seeking a permit should be aware of.
On the topic of weapons permits:
According to the state laws all citizens are allowed to carry a dagger or stiletto no longer than ten inches for personal protection. If training is required to properly use this for protection feel free to contact myself and I will arrange for someone with the proper skillset to meet and discuss training.
Nobles and weapons: Be aware that nobles are not automatically approved for a weapon, if you wish to carry one and have a valid reason please come see me to avoid having your potentially priceless heirloom weapon taken and having yourself charged with illegal possession.
Knights and the State Metropolitan: Members of any knight order or the State Metropolitan are automatically given weapons and armor permits, there's no need to apply, they're understood.
Firearms: Given the ability for quick and notable damage from these types of weapons the process for receiving a permit for a firearm of any kind will be more strict.
Puretek Weapons: Given their occult nature, the process for receiving a permit for a puretek will also be more strict.
Magically Summoned Weapons: Considering casting magic outside of private areas or as members of the Arcane unit within the Metropolitan permits for magically summoned weapons will be denied.
On the topic of armor permits:
After reviewing the records, the armaments office has decided that most noble house guards do not have immediate need for full armor permissions in the Holy City. If your house has sent in guards for armor permits I will need to speak with them again.
Armor Permits in General: From this point forward I will be more strict with approving armor permits mainly to avoid having citizens walking about with protection borderlining knights. If you're wanting an armor permit, come ready for a more in depth interview.
Decorative Armor: Decorative armor is defined as only shoulder-pieces, bracers, or helmet , or if the material offers no more protection than cloth. These are all legal and don't require a permit.
