It is to be expected that those of non-Allar are confused by our terminology and expectations of one another, so I hope to assist with these confusions with the following layout of a typical Allar Digmaan's power structure. The most important terms to take away from this are "Qar-Digmaan", "Digmaan" and "Jogro". Explanations of these words in more detail, in a way for Regalians to understand can be found below.
The title Qar-Digmaan, currently held by Qar-Digmaan Cro-Zzhin Yaotl, comes about when a collective of Digmaan raise up a Qar-Digmaan to be their particular ruler. They act as the judge, jury and executioner to all Allar within their society, even within the realms of the Regalian Archipelago. The Qar-Digmaan governs over all Digmaan within their realm, myself included. One may see it similarly to how the Emperor rules over all noble houses, but make no mistake, the Qar-Digmaan is still beneath and loyal to the Emperor.
Digmaan
Digmaan represents the pinnacle of Allar power within their society. We fulfill a curious role in Allar society under the umbrella of the Regalian Empire, acting as the lead of Allar nobility. We are the absolute authority of the Allar (only inferior to the Qar-Digmaan), with a large advisory to keep them connected to their community. There are no Digmaan with the Yaotl name. Any Digmaan joining the Yaotl-Digmaan becomes Undercro.
As you may have noticed, "Digmaan" also doubles as our term for a specific group of Allar beneath a ruler. This functions as a noble family within the Archipelago, though we act with our strict hierarchy in mind.

Undercro
An undercro is a Cro-Allar which was previously a Digmaan that has been absorbed into another Digmaan, whether it be due to being conquered or transferred as part of a political agreement. Any Cro-Allar within a Digmaan may be raised to this rank should the Digmaan see it fit. An Undercro may act as an heir as well as second-in-commands. Not all Digmaan have these.
Nash-Avaq
The highest rank for Izu-Allar, they are the most esteemed of advisers and who's opinion must be taken into account by the Arbiter. They are often seen by a Digmaan's side, especially during important meetings. There is only ever one Nash-Avaq and they must act as the head to the advisory board below them.
Krallok
The Krallok are numerous and are considered an expert in their respective field. They rarely interact directly with the Digmaan but may be consulted for a further in-depth understanding of a topic. They help to regulate the non-military side of the Digmaan (unless a Krallok who's expertise lie in the military workings).
Elder
The default rank for all Izu-Allar and refers more to the respect than to the age. They act as councillors and advisers to the commonwealth and often group together under a Krallok they either share knowledge with or wish to learn from. An Elder's word is taken over the Arbiter's as they act as a mediator for any disputes which the Arbiter is in charge of.
Lazzai
The Lazzai is often seen as the most esteemed role for an Allar as the Lazzai is a diplomatic representative and steward to a Digmaan's personal court. They may assume leadership of a Digmaan in any periods where the Digmaan is not present and there is no Undercro to fill in. Should there be an Undercro, then their purpose becomes surveillance and secondary feedback to the Digmaan should the Undercro act out of place or suspiciously. They work in tandem with the Nash-Avaq and Krallok to quash any potential coups.
Arbiter
An Arbiter oversees the head of all departments to co-ordinate them effectively. With the assistance of the Elders, and direction of the Digmaan, they work to steer the civilian populace towards the goal set out. When no clear interest is set, they make sure the Digmaan continues to function efficiently by ending arguments between departments.
Rhax
The head of the house guard, they are in charge of keeping the guard fighting fit and holding training sessions. It is also their responsibility to discipline the guard and keeping them in line.
Ghizzal
The second in command to the Rhax, however also seen with a Digmaan most often as they are a favoured set of warriors chosen for personal protection. They may lead the House guard in the absence of the Rhax.
Jogro
The term for all members of a house guard, including the specialised positions of Dart-Runner, Globadier and Carnager. The house guard itself may be referred to as a Jogro Unit. Those without any further defining rank take 'Jogro' by default and this is where they lie in terms of power in the hierarchy, so must obey the Ghizzal but may command dart runners.
Dart-Runner
A Dart-Runner is often a smaller Allar (or person) who is fast on their feet and good at navigating and trapping. Their purpose within the guard is to scout ahead and lay ambushes when necessary. The term "Dart-Runner" comes from the position in Hadar using alchemy filled darts, however this is not the case in Regalia due to legality.
Subterfuge
This is a very discrete branch of the House guard which is tasked with gathering information on topics and groups of interest. They are never publically announced and answer directly to the Digmaan. They may also assist the Lazzai if the Digmaan is absent.
Tol-Zeem
The Tol-Zzeem acts as personal secretary, managing schedules and communications with the Digmaan.
Tol-Uvzzal
The Tol-Uvzzal is in charge of events and hosting entertainment on behalf of the Digmaan.
Tol-Maarq
The Tol-Maarq is tasked with monitoring sanitary conditions, inspecting homes and businesses. This does not extend to the Digmaan's personal estate as that is delegated by the Tol-Kkhit.
Tol-Iyaz
The Tol-Iyaz scouts out business and trade opportunities that may be of interest to the Digmaan, and investing in them where fit.
Tol-Chroq
The Tol-Chroq is tasked with keeping on top of the Digmaan's treasury and assuring it stays in surplus even in cases of grand spending.
Tol-Kkhit
The Tol-Kkhit is what a Regalian may recognise as a butler. They are to manage the Digmaan's personal state, keeping it clean and in order, but also the Digmaan's personal hygiene and physical needs. In addition to this, they wait on any guests, while the Lazzai tends to the Digmaan directly.
Tharaozz
A Tharaozz is someone working under a specific Tol to which they are delegated tasks. They may also be specialised in more nuanced departments as determined by the Digmaan, such as a Tharaozz of Alchemical Research or Arcane Occurrences.
Thazz
This is the term that defines all standard civilians within a Digmaan that do not have their own specific rank. This may include Cro-Allar. Being a Cro-Allar in a Digmaan does not automatically make them a Cro-Allar and more often than not they will be a Thazz.
Tasj
A warning role used to outline any members who have done something problematic that is noteworthy. It is a chance for Allar to redeem themselves.
Mutasj
An outcast to Allar society and a warning to any and all other Digmaan that this specific Allar cannot be trusted in a Digmaan society. This is not the same as an Allar who choses to leave by their own accord or one that does not have a Digmaan. A Mutasj is reserved specifically for those banished by the Digmaan or Qar-Digmaan directly with no chance of redemption.
I hope this flyer has been informative. Any questions may be directed to myself.
Spirit bless,
His Lordship Cro-Maarx Vyzal,
