Late into the night of the 12th of December, Conf Ladveer, formerly a Battle Commander of the Western Mark, later the confirmed leader of the Telikos Beggar's gang under the Alias "Cadent The Beggar King", was seen by a few carefully making his way out of the slums with his daughters, Marra and Alithia Ladveer.
Some time later, they were seen boarding a ship, headed for Etosia. Soon after their departure, rumors spread as rumors do, from close friends of the Ladveers to close friends of their close friends, until the tale was known by a good few it was not intended to reach. Rumors, of the Battle Commander's defection, to the Elven Empire.
Of course, others remained adamant that the man was simply taking his family back home to Etosil, to live out their days in peace, away from the politics of the Archipelago. Regardless of which was true, it was certain that the Ladveers were gone.
With the lose of their Beggar King, the Telikos Beggars fell into a mild state of disarray, before a new leader was, eventually, declared, though as to who that was, it was kept behind closed doors for now...

After deliberating for a while, I have decided that a lot of my issues in roleplay seem to derive, or are at the least feed by, the fact that I have stubbornly continued to play the same character as my Main since I first started playing on Massive. Conf is, objectively, a bit of a crappy character in my eyes as of now. I avoided the usual pitfall for antagonists by giving him real motives to drive his antagonising ways, and he truly believed what he did was right, but his morals and view of the world were both too modern and too depressing to really let me grow much. On top of this, repeated failures on my part OOCly to play the character properly, with me projecting myself way too heavily on the character, have been the final nails in the coffin. He may return, eventually, or he might die in a Progression or something, who knows. But for now, at least, he is simi-permanently Shelved. It was fun, but its time to begin anew and clean my act up!
