A post would be swiftly posted up right after the last, seemingly correcting some things.

"After much discussion, our declaration to spout war on the Velheim has been cut short after it's original announcement.

Though this in turn is not a decision based on fear, and instead is being replaced with a much more useful resolution. The Velheim's crimes will not go unpunished, and instead of my own word will be punished lawfully.
Myself and my own have decided to take out this plan under the law to serve the empire under The Swords of The Bulwark to prove their ways inferior -through lawful service to the Empire and not through meaningless bloodshed.

Our Scale's Swords have not lifted their woes from the actions taken on us by the Velheim, and will not until appropriate peace has been received.

But our judgment on them will be served under the rights of Regalian law to further ensure its success.

Not only for this goal, but to put our Scale's Swords to not only our people's protection, but to aid the empire against it's wanted and unlawful. Putting our blades to good use on either side, and to not promote the idea we are simply a grouping of heretical Frostlings who wield a blade without reason."

"A band of jesters, right? Like a cirque or something. Entertaining us. I genuinely hope that's what they are. Please tell me that's what they are."

An addendum to his earlier response was crudely fixed beside the new notice. The same Eriunin from before wrote this message. Good luck reading chicken scratch.
"Pale ones, riddle me this. What is a fantasy, yet also humorous? The answer is, the idea that the Vidugglas attacked you at all. Provide one logical reason they would."

Valtin gave a hearty chuckle to himself, whispering "They think they can just declare war, then offer their swords to us? I don't think so..."

A certain yanar meandered up to the announcement postet where Shane was, eating honey directly out of a jar as he stared at it then glanced over to Shane.

Zaan idly commented; "Wish I had brought me some salted peanuts, want some honey?" They said extending the jar for him to sample while he read over the announcement and spoke. He turned his stare back to the announcement shortly after.

Culellia Las'enas looked at the notice for a bit with her brother.

"I wonder how this will unfold now. The Velheim aren't so forgiving after all."

@__TheDarkLord__

Pegeen snorted, after taking about ten minutes to read the entire thing. "A'ight, theys're fuckin' idi'ts! Callin' war'n'now they callin' it off? 'Ey! I think we's won then! Fuckin' white'eads." The woman than went to the Gauntlet Tavern, and made it her job to hand out about five free drinks to the first five patrons who came and sat! Celebratory drinking!

(Typed on iPhone. Forgive me)

Essecacha Las'enas stood beside his sister with his arms folded by his chest, his usual icy expression remaining.

"Who knows? Maybe they'll decide to attack anyway, despite the Isldar pulling out. Looks a little weak to declare war only to back out before it's begun."

@KayKay704

Sylas Atwood grinned wildly as he sat before his fireplace and took in every word of both announcements. One leg crossed over the other and a fat cigar planted in his mouth. A deep and almost satisfied chuckle rang from his lips, informing his joined kin of his thoughts. He slowly let the two papers fall upon the kaffee table, glancing to his two brothers with wicked glee. Not a word was exchanged aside from Sylas' voice letting out a low "Playtime." which sent an excited chill up their spines while he used the tip of his cigar to burn a hole over the name Siora Lellvyone in the paper before staring amusingly into the dying ashes of the fire.

A certain disheveled isldar would stop dead in her tracks as she walked the streets, her gaze traveling to the declaration and then... Anti-declaration, furrowing her brows in confusion. "Wait, there was a war started? The world is growing more mad each day" Aubrey muttered to herself before shaking her head to continue on homewards.

A letter would be tacked underneath this series of missives, having been penned in common and simple enough to read by most. The following letter was written in response to these;

What you classify as Just and necessary is wrong.

What you classify as needed street skirmishes are meaningless and nothing more than a threat to society.

What you stand for is tainted by your lack of drive towards positive goals seeking only to recreate a fallen Empire and revive a downtrodden race to some form of cultural pedestal you seem to believe you deserve to be upon.

Allow me to explain, my name is Generale Deo dei Termini, General of the Houses dei Olzolli and House Viduggla, I have served through numerous Wars, skirmishes, conflicts, felled Bone Horrors, scaled cliffs of your ancestral kin, caught in explosions wrought upon Regalian Vessels by Elven Cannon Fire, served in a time where Cultural Identity and Nationalistic Pride became paramount to the beliefs of the Empires good citizens. But as time carries on I notice that there are certain portions of every whole that find themselves unable to adapt. The Valdemars and Ulfmaerrs of the North, the Songaskian and Elven Princes, and so on. In fact it can be drawn all the way back to the time where the Orcs, destitute, deprived of food, slaughtered by Nature, farmers and tired warriors swept into the Elven Empire and decimated it. Now something very common amongst these groups of unadaptable cliques is, they died. Executed, slaughtered, made examples of in real conflicts, in Real War. I do not appreciate you considering your back alley grovelings to be classified in the same right as Wars that are fought for real purposes, to better the world as a whole and Unite it rather than see every corner and every city personalized to the benefits and desires of those folks who see themselves demanding they be compensated with territory for the actions committed against them. I would have hoped that within the longevity of the Elven race, your elders would have taught you what the words within the Common Language mean, War is not what this is. I carry on to now cite one of the lines within the above document,

"but to aid the empire against it's wanted and unlawful. Putting our blades to good use on either side, and to not promote the idea we are simply a grouping of heretical Frostlings who wield a blade without reason."

In reference to this and the earlier posted Synodical Bull of this Present Month, you and those of your Refuge will and forever always will be Heretics. This war you wage on Ailor will be met in turn with a War waged upon your Collective. Unrestricted War lain down upon you. All Isldar will suffer because of your inability to adapt and let go of your petty beliefs.

I have a suggestion to you lot, who proclaim yourselves Commanders, Captains, and Generals of your Army of Snowflakes. Take a lesson from History and choose to live for the Empire, rather than commit evil for yourself and earn the privileged of being able to call yourself a General or Commander, or Captain.

Signed by,

Generale Deo dei Termini

"And just as easily they give up. They fear what's to come. A shame really." Florian said, then shrugging. "They should listen to the Frostweavers guidance. Not their own misguided sense of what's theirs and what's not, and their own lusts for "vengeance". But what do I know? Half-Breed like myself don't know shit cause we're lesser and aren't linked to the Frostweaver blah blah blah. I only wish I could hear the Frostweavers guidance instead and lead them to somewhere good, rather than the horror they have lead themselves. Oh mother...what are we to do?" He shook his head as he wandered off with his mother in toe. He knew war was coming, and the Isldar of the Refuge were screwed, simply because if they couldn't even decide if they wanted to go to war or not, what hope do they have in real conflict. And who knows, perhaps they had doomed the Isldar with them.

"You're all going to give me a heart attack," Elyon replied upon sight of the notice. She had been witness to the attack that started this whole mess, and she knew they were overreacting greatly. "How trite of an issue. It was a sewer mugging and nothing but. I don't see why you need to blow it so out of proportion, Siora. And joining Mercenaries after declaring war on a race of people? You will only bring destruction and decimation to their troupe. Oh, how shameful. I believed in all of you, that you could bring the Frostweaver's blessing to Regalia and that many could hear its call. All you have brought is humor and ill will for its once glorious name, and all will mock us for it. But you didn't think of that, did you?"

Gwenyth pressed her lips into a line. She had seen the declaration of war and the revision times before in her walks to and fro throughout the city. Yet no matter how often she passed by and read them again and again, the spark of what she could only describe as anger could not be quenched. She could offer no other passage of thought besides one thing that rang true: "Jared was right."
@LumosJared

Kay would look at the announcement sighing saying to herself "They just made a fool out of themselves, those stupid Ice Elves, they are a disgrace toward the other Elven kind."

Ansgar was absolutely disgusted. Certainly after hearing the news from last night... he shouted and declared in the streets about the crime the Isldar committed in The Gauntlet. "The bastard frostlings killed a Dwarf!" visibly seething and growing red with anger "And we let them stand among us still? Where is the justice of this city?"

After hearing this in the Sewer tavern Nale would spit out some of her Ale in disgust saying "Fuck these elves if they aren't going to do anything, then we should."

An Isldar stopped short of a district within the slummery streets of Old Town, gray-toned eyes landing upon the parchment nailed upon one of the notice boards that seemed to attract attention from the general populace. Daeron stepped onwards, and cast his irises upon the writ, reading over the content with a thoughtful 'hrm' escaping his lips. He gave his stubble a scratch in thought. "So this is the source of the hatred that us Isldar have been receiving as of late." the man remarked. Sighing with a grunt under his breath, he turned away from the parchment, continuing his walk. "I will have to do something about these people before they make any further mistakes and get us lined up in front of the execution block."

Edmure read the notice subesquently after the first one. He snorted with disdain. "Empire's service? They explicitely say it's to prove their own idiotic point. They will always put their primitive traditions and false gods before their duty to Mankind."
