Edit: Also please keep in mind this thread is only being posted because even after my request, I waited over 24 hours for any changes to be made to the wiki. I received no response from Cay, nor any other administration of Massive. No one contacted me. Instead, I started hearing second hand rumors of my "legal actions" against MassiveCraft, none of which is true. Thanks.

Considering there has been a substantial amount of rumor mongering lately, and apparently people claiming that I have made 'legal threats' against MassiveCraft, I would like to publicly make known my request to Cayorion for my writing, and name to be removed from the MassiveCraft Wiki.

Here is a screenshot of my direct request to Cay to have my writing removed from MassiveCraft Wiki pages:

As you can see, I worded my reply as politely as possible. The reference to 'legal' is because users in the past have HAD to serve a legal notification to have their work removed from the wiki, which is a process I do not want to have to take with MassiveCraft as I'm an adult and would hopefully wish the staff of MassiveCraft would have the respect for other authors and content creators to honor requests of people who have written that content.

Before any more mud is slung and people continue to claim that I'm 'threatening the server', please see the above message. This is the only content I have sent to anyone of Massive to request my work be removed. My intentions are transparent. I want what I worked hard on to be taken down, please don't claim I'm threatening to sue or otherwise harm the server. I want my work taken down and my name removed from the Wiki on all processing notes.

MassiveCraft is no longer a business or endeavor that I want my name on as having contributed to it. I want nothing to do with having my name on Massive's Wiki any longer. Thank you.

Do you mean the ones that you have exclusively written or everything that you have processed/written.

I would like every thing I've written-- i.e. anything that says 'Written by Feyona' at the bottom removed entirely and rewritten by someone else in their own style with their own details. Those concepts involve details I've thought up independently and contain my style. Anything that was written in a co-authored status, those who wrote with me can discern what they created from my writing and adjust accordingly.

For anything that I've processed, I'm content with simply having the 'Processed by Feyona' removed from the bottom of the page. Since I just did spellchecking and minor editing on these, I wouldn't dare have the person's hard work removed just because I edited it.

I didn't even know these rumors existed :) I'm absolutely positive the staff will get to work on this request in no time if they haven't done so already

I'll have to say, I'm going to miss Antimagic. It was really well done, Fey.
Thank you for your contributions, regardless of them being taken down. They were most pleasant while they lasted.

Dear Feyona

We have recieved your message about requesting a retraction of your work on the wiki.

As you may well know it is the holidays and most of staff are busy with family and friends hence why no formal statement has been made to your request. The lore staff are working hard to check what you have authored and then they will start rewriting the articles to have yours replaced.

Since we received the message, the lore staff have been hard at work to meet your demands.

The following pages will have the same concepts, but be rewritten by a different author:
-Antimagic
-Light Magic
-Kelmoria

The following pages will have completely original content and concepts:
-Kheeshneek Bloodline
-Bloodflower Bloodline
-Enjambre Bloodline
-Sphynx Bloodline

The following page will be discussed with lore staff to determine how much content has been written by whom:
-Regal
-Child Characters
-Vampire Characters

There may be more content listed as we go through all wiki content but that is our list so far.

On top of that, we are in the process of removing your name from accreditations and listed lore items.

I find this thread a bit hasty as you only messaged this demand yesterday and we were only made aware of it a few hours ago since Cayorion which you messaged it to is celebrating the new year with his family. So i hardly see how "a substancial amount of rumor mongering" has been happening lately when it has been that short of a time since we were informed but so be it. We are aware, we are taking steps to remove your authored work. For anything else feel free to contact a direction member.

Dear Feyona I had no idea this was going on, but I know you were a vital to the lore contruction and it would so sad to see your work removed. It's a testiment to all the work you put in.

Thank you for your response and the time to answer me.

Regarding the rumor mongering, I would have not had to make this post had more than 3 different people hadn't approached me and told me that Marty among other staff were saying I had caused a 'legal dispute,' and that other members of ex-staff and staff close to them, such as Tahmas, are calling me a "spiteful bitch" to various members of the player base. I have not threatened 'legal' action despite the various claims that Marty is saying otherwise. I only posted this so that people can be aware of exactly what I messaged Cayorion, as to disperse slander against my name. Thank you, once again.

Didn't realise I wasn't allowed to shed my opinions in private skype chats, my bad.
At least make your opinions truthful and mind your slander, thanks. Keep in mind nothing is ever "private" especially when you're talking about other people and gossiping. Someone in any chat is always going to have the sense of decency to share.

The fact is that it is a legal despute, or could quickly turn into one. You yourself stated that you "didnt want to get legal" which makes it a serious matter and can be perceived as a "threat of legal action unless my terms are met".

In the end you requested your contribution removed and we will of course oblige and remove it. I believe that should be the end of any and all slander that is made in any way shape or form. And ask that this end here in a civil, nice, polite manner.

A Legal dispute is recognized for the following reason:
While the author copyright is retained by the original writer, the intellectual copyright of the content is still within the hands of the original author. Some or partial pieces of the content that is claimed copyright on is in potential violation with reproduction rights and original copyright, as at least Kelmoria, Antimagic, Healing Light and some parts of other documents are re-iterations or publications of content belonging to another author which in most cases can be proven with predating documentation. Does the author in such case really have the right to issue a take-down? This is a legal dispute because the author is claiming copyright content.

Why is the message perceived as a threat?
"I don't want to have to get legal" directly means "This is a casual message, but if you don't do what I want, I will take legal steps". Regardless of how it is worded, this is a threat as it declares consequence to failure to adequately agree to the request. I can pull up a dictionary on the meanings of threat and coercion and we can debate how this applies in context, but I don't think anyone can reasonably argue at this point the above message wasn't a veiled threat. That entire part of the message wasn't necessary. We've agreed to all take-down requests in the past. There is no precedence that would require a threat or intimidation with the intent of forceful action.

For those who are worried about Lore changes:
I own the intellectual rights to at least Light Magic and Anti-Magic as well as Kelmoria. To my knowledge, Ryciera and Plecy already concluded a couple of weeks ago that the Vampire bloodlines which were unused were of unsatisfactory conceptual design and needed a rework. As for the content which is my intellectual rights, I have already started reworking them. This situation is in fact going to be used to blow new life into these articles as they were already quite outdated and the core concepts didn't hold up as strongly anymore in the advances on the server. Light Magic will feature a huge core expansion and Anti-Magic will be more strongly clarified. Light Magic is in fact already being processed right now, it was rewritten yesterday. MassiveCraft's staff works fast and hard. Feyona's content amounts to about 1.528% of the entire lore*, which mostly concerns fringe articles of little value with the exception of articles to which I hold intellectual rights. It shall take us up to maybe a week or two to agree to the request to update and rewrite articles, after all this request was submitted in the middle of the holiday season where most people aren't even at their usual work stations. No core articles are affected, nor is any of this work seen even remotely crucial. We will work hard and fast to make absolutely sure no hard work from the players or the community is destroyed because of Feyona's request, after all, the only losing party in this situation is the players who had nothing to do with this.

For those who are worried this is going to happen again:
I'm going to be squarely simple about this, this is the fourth time this has happened. The first one concerned an ex-Roleplay staff that demanded the removal of a single article he had contributed, the second one was a dozen or so articles, the third one was a single article as well, and now these few articles. While the impact on MassiveCraft is minuscule at best, the players would never even have felt a thing if this thread hadn't been made, it should be prevented from happening again. We are taking concrete steps to absolutely make sure from all legal angles that this will not happen again, you have my personal guarantees.

I'm going to lock this thread now as the claimant has had the chance to explain their stance, and I've done what I needed to say from a management perspective. Some lore announcements in the coming days will show the progress, and we can forget this even happened in a couple of weeks.
