Edited: I completely forgot about this server before I even started playing, so gonna press reset on this intro.

Hey there, my name's Ashley, aka Cyrii. I'm the mom friend and I spend my free time roleplaying, swimming, and practicing a wide array of martial arts. I'm in my third year of studying Psychology at university, and DJ at an alternative nightclub on weekends.

My only experience in roleplay is D&D-related, plus a few single player RPGs, so expect newbieness and frequent questions about how things work.

Looking forward to seeing folks around. <3

dude why is literally everyone who makes an introduction here my spirit animal

Thank you, sweet party cat. Your approval means a lot to a fan of both parties, and cats.

Okay but real talk, are we all the same spirit animal or are we all different ones, I wanna know if we've got a petting zoo situation up in here.
Nah fam, you're all yourselves. Humans are animals, and therefore, I carry part of each of your spirits within my body at all times. You just happen to be the part of me that /used/ to do karate and black belt shit, and you are also the part of me that /currently/ plays Pathfinder, a nerdy tabletop RPG, every week, along with spending my time on various RPG videogames.

Damn, I wanted to be a spirit tiger. Still, it's good to hear there are others with the same interests around here.

thnk i always wntd 2 b tigre

I'm a little delayed at the moment since my minecraft account got hacked (it was crazy old so I shouldn't be surprised), planning to buy a new one next month. At the moment I'm just gobbling up the wiki page, planning a character, and trying to get my bearings on the forums. Very kind of you to offer! If you're still about when I get my new account I'd probably really appreciate being shown around town so to speak?

Of course! I'm available most of the time. Sorry to hear about your account!

just want to let you know your response was a significant let down and i hope you feel bad.

Well boy howdy I hope you caught that reference, otherwise I'm the asshole.

In the case that you did and this is genuine disappointment, my spirit is broken and my fields have been salted.

Yeah if you get confused don't hesitate to ask a question in help chat or on the forums. Trust me you can't be worse than I was.

Heeeeeeeeeeeey! Nice to meet you! Or. Read about you. 0.0
I have some tips! Some of these are fairly basic, but I'm not sure exactly how much you know, so I'll just give ya everything I can think of. If I missed something or you want something answered, you can just ask.
  1. Stay away from homestuck if you wish to remain sane. Anyone writing using strange typing quirks is someone to avoid. (Eg. "hI, uHH, nEWCOMER", "HoNk. :o)" etc.)
  2. honk. :o)
  3. Joining some kind of RP organisation is very fun and often a great way to get interacting with members of the community. I recommend.
  4. Writing lore stories is great if you're into that kinda thing - we always love to read them, and they can be a good way to become known as an RPer (because of course, the RPing and creative writing are basically the same thing.)
  5. Mention of "Doc Scratch", "Alpha Kids", "Trolls", or "Classpect" is an early warning sign. Don't ask, just back away slowly. If they ask where you are going, don't try to answer; run.
  6. Skype is a good idea, if you don't already have it. Lots of massivecrafters use it, and it I should very commonly used as the main method of communication within IC organisations.
  7. Being told about homestuck is bad. See above for instructions on how to avoid these situations.
  8. Basic chat commands are very useful, if you don't already know them. They go at the end of whatever you're about to post. (+ is for an action, *i s for a whisper, $ is for a mutter, and # is for a description of something happening in the environment, e.g. the effects of a spell.)
I'd love to roleplay with you, so if you see me online just give me a shout (via pm)! My username is _The_Unknown and you'll tend to find me hanging about in the Sewers.

I love how half of these are actual good tips and the other half are just bashes of homestuck or inane sentence fragments. Seeing as how so many keep responding to this intro, ASHLEY/VEX (idfk) I WILL TAKE OVER THIS PAGE TO ADVERTISE MY GROUP WHEN IT'S DONE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Thank you for the advice! I haven't got Skype so I'll get on top of that first, and I'll make sure to go about joining some RP organisations since I'm sure that'll be a lot of fun. Also thanks for the lowdown on chat commands, seems complicated but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually! Also, I've never read Homestuck, so I should be safe for a little while, at least ;)

Either is fine! Also, hokay 0.0 What kind of group if you don't mind my asking?

uhhhhh. shhh but it's a secret sewer illegal information gathering group with spies and shit shhhhhh. don't tell anyone.

It's okay, I don't think anyone else on this public forums could have heard. Plus, if you were planning on advertising :')
just in case someone comes across this, sh..... But actually though, would the character you had planned fit with this or no? If not, I may be able to suggest other groups depending on what type of character you want to play.

It depends what character idea I end up going with. I've got quite a few but there's so much lore here and so much inspiration!

I completely agree! I know that you aren't currently able to do much with mc, however, you can still rp as a character without having it approved, just to do some character research. It really helps in what's the most fun to play and what you like the most. My group should be able to accommodate almost all types of characters once it's up and running. Just search around the forums, and you should be able to find a group that you like!
