Broods & Kathar are very separate, but share a similar treatment. A Kathar is denied jobs and trust, because of the circumstance of an Empire they actively chose to abandon and betray, and a Brood is denied jobs and trust because of the happenstance of a Vampiric parent. The systems which push them downward are born of fear, and the salve to them is to show that such fear can be misplaced and that we aim, honestly and fully, to contribute to the magnificent Regalian Empire.
There are other traits shared. For three thousand years, Kathar have been the pawns and sacrifices of evil, tossed into blood circles by Saithar, Crimson Witches & the Dread Dragon. Since the first Sangeley married, Broods have been the unwilling bargaining chip and influence of wicked Sanguine. And those who would benefit from their struggles continue to sabotage any effort for them to be accepted.
From the fifth to the seventh of April, Vaela of the Serpent's Hollow and her twin Sylas hosted a Divinium Siege on the Hero's Contemplation Temple. Sylas claimed openly that this was done to draw attention to oppression inflicted by Unionists in the city. One would assume that it would be more direct to do this at the All-Beacon Temple, rather than a countryside temple to a single God. Sylas answers this to Ser Apostolikos by affirming that the Hero's Contemplation was "easier", and a means to "capitalize on rage against Unionists to gain Divinium."
We intend to make it clear, as organizers of the Kathar petition & a Brood in the workforce, that we do not claim Sylas as an activist among us. Sylas and his twin are demon summoning Vampire gangsters. Regardless of their background, they would continue to enact cruelties onto the innocent because of a warped kratocratic worldview. We do not endorse their actions or accept them as anything but the active sabotage against acceptance that they so clearly are.

What do you think you are?
You rule over a sewer. You claim that you want to improve the so-called Undercity, but you cannot make a sewer any less full of shit. The only way for anyone in the "Undercity" to find peace is to move out of it, which itself robs you of power and the rush of ruling over lived territory.
You claim to be against Knighthood and Knights as a whole, but your very position is enforced by the idea that you are (or rather, were) the least violent group to knights, who frequently hand over people you dislike to the very Knights you call corrupt and wicked.
You claim to be for the betterment of Broods in Regalia, but your nature as criminals means you strictly benefit from it. You have only ever brought negative attention to Broods by advertising your natures as Broods in the same breath as you advertise your demon-summoning services. Your criminal activities directly benefit from Brood and Kathar manpower, abusing their inability to find jobs, and the mistrust you help sow against them, to turn them into meat shields and sacrifices. It is both telling and fitting that Sylas is a known Vampire, considering the history of Vampires to abuse Broods as a means to hide and build manpower.
You are every bit as bad as every bigoted group you decry and whine about. You continually hinder the efforts of other, kinder souls, to bring about the safety you claim to want to bring to Broods, Spirits & Kathar, as any amount of struggle inflicted upon them makes it easier for you to funnel them into the Hollow's criminal activities. You use the legal system you despise as a way to punish and destroy other "Undercity" groups who attempt to go against you.
You are not fair rulers or freedom fighters. You are spineless hypocrites, with frail feelings, who can only react in violence.
If you truly believe any of the rhetoric you gave at that Temple siege, or at the discussion regarding Mesmessei, or to Hexarra in private, then you should dismantle the Hollow immediately and seek redemption and self-betterment.
