Celestial Lights and Chilling Frights [Finished Flashpoint]
Thanks to the efforts of Milena Cadieux and her group of mages, alchemists and doctors, they were able to deduce, primarily thanks to Valerie Howlester's magical abilities, that the affliction that affected a couple of dozen people there and turned them to "ice" was actually some sort of magic that was easily dispelled. The more pressing concern however was why? Did the Comet that flew overhead yet remained unseen by the vast majority of the nearby lands have something to do with it? What about the individuals involved, did they have a hand in it all? This information seemed to have blown by along with the Winter winds. Whatever or whoever caused it escapes any sort of justice as life continues in the hamlets of Erendall. The people are grateful to their liege and raise their opinion of Cadieux to high for the time being, the victims of the attack also gifting Milena 20,000 regals recompense for her efforts which does not completely offset the amount spent on the relief effort but does certainly make up for some.
The Cats who stole the Cream [Finished Flashpoint]
Despite being pursued by fleets belonging to both House di Ortiz and House Avalorn, half of the Varran pirate flotilla escapes from the archipelago to go deeper undercover with half of their "earnings" and a great number of crew having been killed at sea. Di Ortiz managed to locate the last half of their stockpile and returned to their lands with 15,000 regals worth of goods and a golden pocket watch that could be worth another 5,000 regals. Whether or not this 15,000 regals will be given back to the di Ortiz people is still pending, and many of the locals are still awaiting answers from their liege but for now just expect no recompense. Nevertheless, the sea is cleared of this temporary scourge and the waters are moderately safer with them now gone.
A Thousand Words [Finished Flashpoint]
Once the bidding war in Praag finally died down in the von Drachenburg lands, it was obvious that there was one clear victor. The winner of the auction was House Typhonus with their bid of 35,000 regals on a piece of artwork by famed artist Gretel Scouhaser. Gretel immediately set out for the city of Calemberg, setting up atop a nearby hillside to put her vision of the Calemberg skyline on canvas. The result was a wonderful contemporary piece that captured the essence of the city perfectly. The piece was then placed on display in one of Calemberg's art galleries, earning the Typhonus family 20,000 regals worth of tourism for that week and the painting itself, which was rumored to be worth even more to the right purchaser.
Gone but not Forgotten [Finished Flashpoint]
After the festival in Ostyr came to a close, the Shieldmaidens issued their gratitude to the noble families from across the four corners of the Realm that had attended their extravagant festival which was in essence just an elaborate funeral. The final day of the festival saw the Shieldmaiden's chosen Valsang chanting their lament for the Ostyr Shieldmaiden with a death march through the entire capital city before finally ending at the Shieldmaiden's resting place. The Valsung made it clear that the lodge found House de Azciossia, House Cadieux and House Sorenvik to have been the most respectful, honorable and courteous throughout the entire festival, owing them their assistance when they should require it: a one time offering. As such Houses de Azciossia, Cadieux and Sorenvik may call upon the Ostyr Shieldmaidens once during a defensive or offensive war for a one time boost.
