Guys, i haven't done a
fully comprehensive search but i suspect the area worst hit so far is due South of Daenshore spawn point (see map attached). perhaps Waminer you would know more of the West situation.
Really, if you consider the psychology - noobs arrive facing south when they appear at Daenshore docks, so many are going to just head off in that direction (plus there's nothing much drawing them east or north). That is why that first mountain peak classed as "wilderness" to the south has been so hard hit... and it's also why i've had to CONSTANTLY restock the trees that i've put there (despite the signs i've erected calling for a more 'sustainable' approach - they are mostly just kids after all).

i've all but fixed (re-woodlanded) the foothills on the north side of that mountain but the areas to the east of the Mountain and south still need a LOT of work (and there's the mountain top itself). i strongly suggest this is where you all start... as it is the admins who will inevitably make decisions based on what they can immediately see. As this area is so close to Daenshore it makes it
incredibly conspicuous... hence every day that it sits there the admins will get closer and closer to calling Daendroc "too griefed to continue" when
in fact it is NOT - most of the out lands are still in great condition.
Emperor Max - i'd love you to restore that mountain top as it would make a CRACKING location for your tavern - i've even designed a logo ready for it below. it was supposed to be for us... but if you made that tavern on the hilltop i think it would be awesome to allow you to have it - the icing on the cake if you like (but it's gotta be on the mountain if you wanna use my logo - that's my condition).

Just picture it: nightfall. a softly lit path ambling through that woodland i've made with a boardwalk winding up the side of the mountain to an alehouse jumping with elves, orcs, hobbits and the likes. Can't wait... Although i know Cay will have something to say about ANOTHER pub opening up (we've already had that conversation). You'll need waterfalls on all four sides if you want to avoid noobs cobble-pillaring to get up though - small price to pay for an ungriefed landscape.
And as for your clay - go underground me luv - not upsetting the landscape down there dude.
RESTORATiON TiPS:
Mostly you'll need dirt, and heaps of it... and saplings (i know - i've been doing this for a month now). Don't bother trying to "fill" all of the holes - just put a single block thick 'skin' of dirt over it. i've been using the ruins of what was already there as a guide so i still get undulating natural landscape rather than ugly "flat" land. Every now and then i'm even throwing in a lake (you'll need buckets for water, gravel (for the bed) ). i find it quickest to start with a horizontal 'grill/lattice/scaffold' of parallel lines of dirt about 4 or 5 apart.. and then come back and jog sideways filling the gaps in the 'lattice'. you get a lot of single block 'pop-ups' or 'spurs' that you have to come back and dig off to clean it back flat but it's still quicker.
Also don't bother bone-mealing the trees - let nature take it's course. Unless of course you need more saplings in which case bonemeal away my friend.
i will continue to police the woodlands and restock trees but we will all have to do the same if we want our map to survive - there will always be noobs with no regard for the months/years we've invested here.
