So, I was wandering in one of my oldest bases (2nd oldest actually) and I saw some locked chests by people I haven't seen in ages. Went to open them, both people were still active! So I used /seen and saw that both had become faction leaders :D That got me thinking that, besides how proud I was that people who started out in my faction managed to become leaders in their own right, who else do I know that's achieved great things? Well, here's a list of people I know of who've done well after me:

  • OctoberGwen - From an industrious and initiative-taking member of Osai who I didn't trust to join the faction (mostly b/c I had just gotten out of the troll-ridden Osion) to the leader of one of the most well known and respected factions on the server.
  • Drutonk - From a friend and fellow shop owner of Bjoan to the leader of a small faction.

  • Favouredzpv - From just another noob who had no trust in other (poor sap, coming from a pvp server) to the leader of a faction and now an officer in mine.
There are others of course but my memory is bad so whatever. So, who did you help, guide, mentor, or befriend way at the beginning of their time here, and where have they gone since then?

All of my faction members left the server when I gave up faction ownership for my staff position.

None of them ever came back, citing the server was shit, because they kept getting killed by the most random people in wilderness with no roleplay and for no reason.

You know, if there was a rating for depressing I probably would have given Monmarty's post it.

They regularly give me shit for still working on Massivecraft, but it's exactly that which motivates me to try and make this a better place so that one day they might come back.

This is by far the best server I have been on. Can't imagine what they mean.

Hrm...... he didn't mention me... Oh well I haven't changed much anyways, in fact im almost exactly in the same spot I was in osion........ that depresses me....*crawls back into his half finished castle in hisoka to fish some more*

It is people like these that make Massive a less great place. You don't just rage quit over stupid stuff, you overcome it, rise above it, gain power and change it. Like you, Monmarty. It's people like you that make Massive better and a great server. Something for me to strive for!

My favorite part about this thread is that not one other person has posted people they've helped and watched become awesome. Y u no do wat post ask?

Tell them to come back and join Hisoka! Then they can die in a faction base by random people for no good RP reason :D

In response to Mecharic,
Because other then myself, no one that I've watched has. I've been on the server for a month or so, and I've become the 2nd in command of one of the largest and best factions on the server, Hisoka. But everyone else that I know from since then, is going up in stature, but is not yet actually somewhere near greatness yet. I am the only person I know who comes close to that, yet even I am not at the level that you and OctoberGwen and MonMarty are at. Maybe close to Favoured, but I still haven't been a faction leader yet.

And that is an annoying description of us, Mech.

All of my old friends I had when I joined the server either went inactive or got banned :/. Except for Favoured, Mecharic, and......... well..... erm.... I have no friends ;(. *on the side note favoured went on to create zion and a whole bunch of things while I slowly tried to get at least above 100 silver... never got past 90 silver. And mecharic went inactive cause of college I think and osion fell apart because of more and more inactive leaders so I ditched it and went to zion which also fell apart so I went to hisoka...... you know... every faction I've been to has slowly fell apart..... not that I had anything to do with them falling apart of course (bandit).

Mecharic I'm not saying it isn't true, or that it isn't a joke, I'm just saying that it is annoying, partly because it's true, and part because it's annoying. Oh wait, I already said that one... Yes, those people should come join Hisoka!

I still must become great.

Staff can run factions. I personally think they should not due to the stress that it piles onto staff work.

I remember when I first started. If I was not invited to a faction I would have had no plae to keep my items, and would have lost them all. It's hard to imagine how even the smallest faction can determine whether a layer stays on the server or not.

I have to say mulligan and I go way back to cerdia I invited him, when trigent was called bloodstorm, and anyone over 5000 stats was a monster..... Me and him shaped trigent and then cole left us, I went to create my own faction and mulligan bounced from place to place, ze Claus took over and I started my empire the A7R to which we reconnected and forged a strong empire, that broke down by betrail when 4 of the 7 leaders went awal, durion my pride was sold and I was left with nothing but a few shards of what I called home. Lucky for me rythors development had acceled past all expectation. And mulligan was king of the pride of ellador! I fought many good battles there and held many feasts, then alagaron came back into the picture and things are looking up again! Mulligan is by far one of my favourite players!

Waminer I first invited to durion has stuck with me for at least 5 months, his loyalty is unfounded and he is a character to behold! Players like him are rare, and I think one day he will peak, and all will fear him, I think he is very much a dark horse, when he acts he thinks beforehand, he plans and most deadly trait is he is a success. He has a very gifted strategic mind, one day he will use its full potential and be a powerful ally to me.
