If I had to choose a theory, I'd say a giant disc resting on the shoulders of four cosmic elephants sitting on the back of an immensely large turtle. To be lore compatible though (e.g. Ellador is a "northern world") a cube is possibly easiest... although not as cool as some of the ideas. But there's always scope for 'satellite' worlds orbiting in a mystical suspended 'sea' of 'warp cloud'.

1) Have you geometrically turned yourself and the rest of the universe inside out within the past 42 days?
2) Have you or your sexual partner phased through space in the past 18 months?
3) Does any of this make sense to you?

If yes to any, you are indeed in a 4-Dimension universe. Contact your nearest trained professional for a dimension-reduction.

Ah well, fortunately we never had that problem!

The world shape could actually be spherical as you can make a sphere in minecraft. It is a possibility, and a less complicated theory! xD
 
The patterns I remember in minecraft that I see is that the moon and sun revolve around the minecraft world. There are no true curves in minecraft so the world must be completely flat. In other words, all of the physics in minecraft are what the world considered fact before people like Newton and other smart scientists appeared.

Considering some of the amazing mods/plug-ins that have been written over time by the broader MineCraft community I wouldn't be surprised if it was relatively easy [read: 6 months of your life you'll never get back] to create a mod where you can define a cube of a certain size and then the map auto generates around that framework as you walk around it... just as a normal flat map random generates.

One could build in a mechanic where normal walking gives players a "you have reached the edge of this world - maybe a leap of faith?" message. When they run and jump the physics engine makes them do a graceful arc and they land on the next face then just keep walking, just keep walking (thanks Dory).

Railroads could probably just roll straight over it because in essence it is still just a flat map - you are just made to perceive it going around a cube.

Hmm... but then what would happen when you dig from one 'plane' to the next??? Hmmm... ponderous... and what if there was a 5 block deep hole at the edge - would the hole continue around the corner??? I smell a mod coming on.

Why does it matter what shape massive is? All we know is that we all love each other very much, and at the center of regalia is a giant love generator. It turns all that nice love into dirty smoke that keeps massivecraft universe propelled into space. So to answer your question, we are what we are, and will never change

We get these comments so much and they always come from the people who can be aggressive, judgmental and always need to share there opinions on this forum. It's clique but try looking at yourself before deeming the server to having "all the assholes".
 
On a side note, I think it's a Sphere, because it makes sense as to why the sun goes around in a circular motion - Yes, I am Damn Creative!

Thanks Mattium. There's a bit of a juggle here between 'plausible' and a bit of 'suspension of belief'. I can tolerate the idea of it being a cube because the scenario doesn't have to be TOTALLY plausible - a little bit of license or imagination is always going to be required.

If we go to extremes of what is absolutely justifiable by technicalities we could easily argue that Ellador isn't an 'accurate' Northern world because the sun arc goes directly over head as though it was in the tropics (if it were truly a northern world the sun would remain lower in the Southern sky)...
...so...
... a cube world I can live with..
... but i would consider not having any continents at the poles because we are never going to be able to have the sun skirting around the horizon like it would if the planet were truly a cube...but again, that's overthinking it. Let it be a little 'magical'.

I look at myself and can safely say I am not an asshole or aggressive or judgemental.
 
I think it's a hexagon. When you play over an hour of Super Hexagon, that's the only shape that exists.

That, and the only words your brain can process are "Game" and "Over."

Silly, the sun doesn't spin around it. The sun is a great fireball spit out by the Very Huge Dragon in the East. It arches across the sky and gets extinguished by the time it reaches the other side.

And that must mean the moon is a great ball of ice.. thrown by a sea serpent? Yes, that's it. And it melts by the time it crosses to the other side.
