Valtin doesn't seem to mind gore, or things that might disgust others, though for fears, it would have to be heights, there is no good reasoning behind this, it's just his fear. He hasn't really found his other fears, though wouldn't want to, finding fears isn't the most fun of things. How would your character respond to experiencing Stress? Valtin is a very busy man while in the guard, keeping his family and those others who live in the great Holy City. Stress can come in many different ways, and forms to Valtin, two hypothetical example would be either a huge Kathar raid on Greygate, or a family member complaining to him about a petty thing. How would your character express feeling Happy? Although Valtin never shows his emotions strongly, you can still see the happiness glitter though his eyes, another thing to add is his upper lip starts to wiggle, or shake if he is happy or delighted. How does your character view Law and Authorities? Since Valtin belongs to the Violet Order, his perspective on them is high and with great respect. He looks up to his elder brother for advice when needed, since he is a great man with many positions in the city of Regalia. Although he is part of the Order doesn't mean he follows all the rules, he is slightly corrupt within the order, doing only small things like beating a man for the smallest of things, or even stealing coin from searched prisoners. How does your character feel about Races other than their own? Valtin believes in strict male dominance, and gender roles, and is also a staunch ailor supremacist, so isn't liked by everyone. He is extremely racist towards other races other than his own, though he does respect' the more human races such as certain elfs, chi, etc. How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths? Valtin sees himself as a holy man, worshiping the right religion, and feels like Unionism is the better Religion. Valtin, and his family both are strong believers in the Spirit, and the religion of Unionism. How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world? Valtin dislikes mages, and people who practice the Arcane arts with a passion, even if they are helping the order, such as some Silven, Valtin would still very much hate them and their practices. Family & Friends To his family, Valtin is loved but still intimidating to the younger children of the house. The adults of the house usually just keep their manners, and laugh at his stupid/bad racist or sexist jokes. The house is still proud and thankful for Valtin's commitment to the family, and to the city. Valtin himself, unconditionally loves his family, but does not often show his love in a direct way. In front of the younger males in the family, he acts hard and rough, and usually tries to push them to do hard labor. With the females of the family, he treats with respect and delicacy almost like they are porcelain dolls. He does this because he believes in a strict gender roles, and sometimes might even unintentionally put some of the girls down. Other than that he loves his family greatly and does anything for the House as he possibly can. As for friends, Valtin has a hard time making them due to his harsh manor. Though Valtin does meet people a lot and could get along with some. What is your character's biggest insecurity? Valtin's biggest insecurity would have to be letting down those around him, his family , citizens alike. He hates losing, and loves to win immensity. He is quite cocky while in combat to make the other opponent feel bad about themselves, whether its their physical appearance or race, he does this usually to make himself feel better about his own appearance, or mental capability. What is your character the most proud of about themselves? Valtin is most proud of his accomplishments in the last few years, he finished his training, becoming a lethal man, he also joined the Violet Order, under his brothers chapter, the Invaer Retinue. He also is so proud of what he has become, saving those in need, and showing that the Ailor race, is the superior race. What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? What really pushes Valtin to succeed in life is to continue to make his family proud, and to keep the citizens out of harms way. He wouldn't have a specific goal, or revenge motivation, though keeping others alive is well enough for Valtin. What is your character's biggest fear? Valtin's biggest fear out of anything would have to be heights, for no good reason Valtin is afraid of heights. His efforts to stay away from ledges, or look down from high towers are quite obvious as he starts to sweat a great amount. Life story 0- 14 | Valtin von Dietrich was born the second child on the year of 266 AC to wealthy parents who hailed from the New Regalian culture, Naveyan von Dietrich, and Havana von Dietrich were their names. His older and younger brothers were taken to Calemberg for eight years, all of them returning to Regalia, Valtin returning at the age seven years old. Since he was the middle child, he was given the balanced amount of love from his parents. He noticed his older brother Wilhelm, taking an interest into combat, of course Valtin would follow right behind. They spared, and fought but Wilhelm was always better than Valtin. 14 - 24 | Wilhelm's personal trainer left, and so did Valtin's interest in combat. Their father past away, leaving Wilhelm in charge of the family. Valtin grieved, but never had a strong connection with his father. Wilhelm, Valtins brother controlled the family business, and all of their affairs. At the age of twenty he decided to move to the Holy City, there he would use all his experience to join the Violet Order. He would spend a good five years in the order as a guards man. 25 -40/Present - Valtin von Dietrich served the city and its people until the age twenty five, when he resigned to take up an offer from a close friend who worked in legal mercenary business within the great city. He swore that he would once again he would join back the Violets, but for now wanted to discover himself. For another five years, at the age of thirty, Valtin would have some more coin, plus the family's wealth and thanked his old friends and left the group to relax within his family's estate. For eight years, Valtin would relax and try to take up some more tips and tricks with his blade. He bought private lessons from a past Regalian military man, who fought many battles, and wars. Through out those years, Valtin gained much valuable skill sets that he still uses to this day. Two years later, now a fully trained man, Valtin would keep his promise made to the Order. His elder brother, Wilhelm von Dietrich was a very influential and successfully man within Regalia, and even was a Commander of his own charter within the Violet Order. Valtin von Dietrich took this advantage to join back into the Order, to server his Empire and great city once again. Valtin had climbed his way though the guard ranks, and had landed himself an officers position. Valtin wanted to contribute more to his empire, and decided to fight in a war, being General Norrvakt's primary tactician. The Regalian Army would come victorious, and prove to beat the Kathar into the ground with that. Upon coming home, Valtin would resume his day to day duties within the Order, and proved himself to be a rather good leader, and officer. Wilhelm, Valtin's brother, who is the commander of the chapter saw great things in Valtin, making him a Violet Captain, leading him further into the Violets rankings. From his last war, Valtin saw many horrific things, that nothing not even a warrior should see, though went to join General Norrvakt in the Imperial State Army, providing the Url General a Front Line Advisor, and tactician. On Tuesday, April 2, 307 AC, The Invaer Retinue becomes merged with the Ironspire Regiment, and along with its members. Valtin von Dietrich is once again made a Violet Officer by Commander Aurelius Krupp, a friend to Valtin.
