◉ Origins | Valleros inherited his Vortex alignment from Sapphora, Estelley Goddess of Love. Upon reaching the age of Starbirth, he was bestowed trust handling the chaotic seductions of the Abyss. Centuries of practice has extended his skills to many areas, but Valleros only became familiar with true spellsword techniques much later in life, training as a paladin of the Senleya Order.

º Enchant: The application of beneficial effects on for example weapons or objects or people.ºº | Realm-Locked Schoolsº Blood: The act of using Blood as a vehicle to do things, but also affect the blood in the bodies of others or one's self.
º Shadow: The act of using Shadows as a vehicle to do things, such as moving shadows around, concealing one's self in shadows and more.
º Flux: The usage of Magic to cause objects or places to take on warping qualities, either constantly changing shapes or shapeshifting objects into different objects.
◉ Venting | This Blood Mage utilizes Burdened Venting, thus negating any corruption of himself or Aloria. He does this by stealing the life-force of his enemies each and every time he steals blood from their bodies, thus making up for his blood Magic but also all his schools of choice. -
Artifact Mechanics | Meratar (Unsparked) ◉ Heritage Manipulation
Meratar's wielder can change their own Heritage from their born Heritage to another, including replacing all of their Heritage Traits. This does not count as a Disguise, making the Characters appear roughly similar as they did before, just with a different Heritage appearance. Meratar can only make these changes occur within Heritage lineage groups, meaning for example if the Character is originally an Elf, they can only change to another Heritage from within the Elfkind lineage group.
Currently, Valleros is not making use of this Mechanic.
Heritage Mechanics | Lanlath ◉ Mechanic I | Source: High Elf Sorcery
Lanlath can, once per day, make use of the Magical Variant of the Sealing Pack from Adapt Point Buy. Point-Buying the Pack, or gaining it for free, disables this Mechanic.◉ Mechanic II | Source: Biological
Lanlath cannot use God Magic. However, Lanlath can Dimension Align to Lathan Magic, which is extradimensional like Void/Exist/Ordial, and unique to the Lanlath.◉ Mechanic III | Sorce: Biological
Lanlath do not need to sleep, but can do so if they wish, or enter into a trancelike state of meditation that approximates sleep but leaves them watchful.◉ Mechanic IV| Sorce: Biological
Lanlath can see things from incredibly far away if they focus, able to spot an eagle landing a kilometer away or a coin being flipped across a town. Ask DM for Event use.◉ Mechanic V | Source: Biological
Lanlath are supremely difficult to inebriate with traditional alcohol, requiring a stupendous amount of liquor before they even begin to feel a mild buzz.
Society Mechanic | Watchway Society (Senleya) ◉ Calamity Archives | Source: Networking
You have access to the Calamity Archives, which may contain deep-lore or other useful information to ongoing Society activities. To consult the Archives, you can open a Ticket in the Ticket Bot. Please only open one Ticket per issue.
Markenism Mechanics | God Cursed Strangle Valleros has merged the Marken's personality into his, thus has almost complete control over it (Lykorian Conditioning). He is susceptible to (unlisted) Triggers, but these are more like temptors that might goad Valleros into transforming even when he knows better, than forceful inducements. ◉ Greater Strength | Source: Biological
You are stronger than the average normal person when it comes to out-of-Combat tests of strength. Whether it is in arm-wrestling, or other power competitions, you always gain bonus Dice. You can also carry much heavier loads than other normal people.◉ Greater Hunter | Source: Biological
You are an apex hunter in the wilds, capable of greater sense of the hunt, sight, and hearing in nature. You can effortlessly capture animals in the hunt, and may receive additional benefits during Monster Hunt Events or Monster encounters in the forests of Regalia.◉ Fauna Bane | Source: Biological
Animals generally fear you. Birds fly away, squirrels hide, and insects run away. Some predators like wolves or mountain cats will think twice before challenging you. This effect even applies to domesticated animals and familiars. This does not apply in Combat.◉ Greater Smell | Source: Biological
You can smell things in great detail. While out of Combat, you can smell any poison or substances that have been added to drinks or food, and you can identify any medicine or alchemy's ingredients by smelling it. This cannot be used to discover identities of the disguised.
Estelley Godborn Mechanics | Sapphora Clearly resembling his mother, Valleros has inherited her Grace Snakes (2), eyes, and face markings. Tangentially, also her face structure. ◉ Light Manipulator | Source: Innate Magic
You can produce bright lights in your hands, at your fingertips, or in the air that will light up large areas like rooms or large open caverns. This light can be used to make an area that is conventionally dark as night appear bright as day, but does not have any Combat applications, and some Magical forms of darkness overrule Light Manipulation. ◉ Solur Tender | Source: Innate Magic
You can create animal or fairy-like familiars either from plant-matter, or light-magic, that can act as your pet in social roleplay, or perform simple tasks around the house in emote flair. You can have any number of Solur familiars, but they will flee when Combat begins.◉ Universal Speech | Source: Innate Magic
You can understand and speak all mortal and currently practiced languages from all the corners of the world. This Mechanic does not allow the understanding, writing and reading, or speaking of ancient or otherwise dead languages, or magical languages. -

PLOTHOOKS & BACKGROUND
-
⬦◉ || Corahaunt, Paladin of Vermilion Moon ◉ ||⬦
⬦| Valleros dawns the title of Corahaunt while he represents his Brightmoon Chapter in armor. He preferentially defends Estellians and the faith itself from slander, repression, or degradation, but also elves in general. In calmer moments, he may lend spiritual guidance if no Ordvaan is already present or attempt to mediate differences between members of his beloved community.
⬦| Valleros' choice to burden the very lifespans of other people to empower his magic and shield himself from the consequences is a contentious one, not more than a step away from being Vamperic. Someone should do something about that.
⬦◉ || Star of Calmness ◉ ||⬦
⬦| Valleros has excellent self-control and is resilient toward the mind-corrupting forces of Spirits. Thus, he feels confident while interacting with ones that aren't immediately violent. He may help Spirits help themselves.
⬦◉ || A Great Lindwyrm ◉ ||⬦
⬦| Valleros becomes Harsyth (har-seeth), a Strangle Marken which still resembles its mother. While unpredictable and base in its thinking, Harsyth retains his personality. These aspects make the perfect conditions to learn more about who Valleros is as a person and explore your own character's values.
⬦| Harsyth views other Marken as safe outlets for otherwise deadly violence. -
⬦◉ || Valleros was born and raised in Lathan, a semi-divine child bestowed upon his parents after struggling to conceive. Two more siblings came after him. As a practicing healer at the time the Cataclysm ensued, a young Valleros of twenty-two was among the many Lanlath sent forth by Leyon to soften the collapse of Allorn. But coaxed by a friend made, he is among the few who remained on Aloria for decades afterward.
⬦◉ || Valleros spent the next two centuries and decades more carrying on various occupations, with one becoming especially important: work as a traveling Ordvaan between Aloria and Lathan. As a Godborn, he vested it upon himself the great burden of being a living idol of the faith and spiritual example for his follow faithful. Sporadically, he came from Lathan to various locations in Aloria for years at a time to carry on his efforts. His charismatic talents as a child of Sapphora granted him enormous attention and followers of his preaching.
⬦◉ || Somewhere along the way, Valleros became greedy to the point of blasphemy and was Godcursed by the cruel Empress of Power herself. Transforming during the climax of his service one foggy morning, he commits the slaughter of his congregation and is subsequently hidden by his closest sycophants and family. A two-fold punishment for the heresy of both the speaker and those seduced by his lies. Survivors and their families are blackmailed into silence, but Valleros is no longer an Ordvaan. Reduced to a mad man struggling to come to grips with what happened, what he now was, and how to control it.
⬦◉ || Months of effort and acceptance grant Valleros mastery over his curse. In penance and as an outlet for his newly acquired blood-lust, he devotes himself to the Senleya Order in service to Her Pantheon as a brutal blood paladin. Warped by his guilt, sequestered suffering, and the very technique by which he's gained control, Valleros sees himself as the monster Cemaan ordained he be.
