Valentin currently serves as the Patriarch of House Rosengarde, a blue-blooded aristocratic family hailing from the province of Lorhaus. Facial Features
The most prominent feature upon Valentin's face is the telltale sign of his Arkenborn heritage: gleaming, golden irises encircled by an infernal limbus. Possessing pale skin and long tresses of blonde hair, the halfling takes great pride in upkeeping his appearance. His ears are slightly pointed due to his Teledden influences, often capped with golden jewelry.
Body and Style
Valentin possesses an athletic body build, standing at an impressive height of six feet and ten inches. Parts of his body, namely around his chest and back, bear glowing Prideborn tattoos, though they are often concealed beneath the conservative clothing he wears. The nobleman often dresses himself in long coats, gloves, and boots, preferring darker and duller colors with golden embroidery.

Valentin was born to the Pride Arken and Countirh Lavelle Rosengarde―the latter being said to have won the attention of the former after emerging victorious in a notable dueling tournament. Born and raised in the city of Artrila in the County of Ennas, Valentin was the firstborn child of the Countirh, and was thusly groomed from a young age in the arts of leadership and courtly protocol in preparation for the day he would becoming the ruling figure of the noble House Rosengarde family.

Like most Leutz-Vixe upbringings―and further intensified by the weight of aristocratic expectations―Valentin's upbringing was rather strict, leaving very little room for leisure. He was educated by various private tutors in both academic and political fields, and the young Arkenborn seemed to readily absorb and retain knowledge. It came as little surprise when traces of his Magespark became evident during these years; the blood of the Pride Arken had gifted him with an innate magical affinity. Soon, he was tutored in the magical arts, too, receiving private lessons from a graduate of the Sollandë Soleya academy, focusing on command and enchantment spells.

In the years that followed, it became evident that Valentin had a knack for leadership, maintaining order within Ennas County with little issue. Some claim that his charismatic nature and diplomatic skills kept other conspiring families in line, while others rumor that dark magic was at work to ensure his effective rule. In due time, he made the decision to move to the city of Regalia, hoping to more efficiently expand his and his family's reputation by observing and partaking in the courtly schemes within the Regalian Empire's capital. Fame, fortune, and power are all on the Prideborn's agenda as he arrives to the Empire's central stage for political games.

Born of Two Peoples, Belonging to Neither
As a man born of both Ailor and Teledden blood, Valentin sometimes struggles to find his place among the Regalian Empire's citizens. He is often considered too Nelfin for the likes of the Ailor, and too Human for the likes of the Elves―and these contradictory perceptions have made it difficult to be fully accepted by either group. He finds kinship with those who have similar problems acclimating into society based on their racial background, and he will be one of the first to speak out against bigotry.
The Dark Sun's Son
The young Count is an Arkenborn of Pride, though he does not frequently disclose the identity of his Arkensire due to the broadly negative reputation the Pride Arken has in the Regalian Empire. Though he prefers to be secretive of his origins to maintain the social upper hand, he is still proud of his Arkenborn heritage, and takes a special interest in associating with other Arkenborn. The blood of the Pride Arken has made Valentin into a vain and selfish individual who takes after his Arkensire in both appearance and behavior.
Delver into the Arcane
Another consequence of Valentin's Prideborn status is an innate affinity for magic, bringing him to delve into magical studies at a young age. He received private tutorage from a graduate of the Sollandë Soleya academy in the Allorn Empire, a magical school that specializes in diplomacy, statecraft, and supportive spells. Years of study have turned him into a powerful (Tier Five) Mage, though he always yearns to expand his skills even further. He takes interest in discussing Occult subjects with others, and enjoys collecting tomes and other magical relics―even willing to procure illegal materials to add to his horde.
Observer of All Things
Not only is it a hobby of Valentin's to gather any forms of information and knowledge that might prove useful to himself in the future, but it is also part of his duty as a member of the Scribe Order. When an event of interest is occurring within the City of Regalia, it can always be surmised that the young Count will appear somewhere nearby to observe. He is willing to use his access to the Scribe Order's resources to help others in their research, though he often expects some form of favor or payment in return. Other members of the Scribe Order are welcome to collaborate with him.

› A golden signet ring bearing the sigil of House Rosengarde: a flying owl carrying a rose between its talons. The ring acts both as a stamp for official documents, and as a key to open something. It is always worn beneath his glove.
⬥ Journal › A leather-bound journal with a burgundy-dyed cover, decorated with golden embroidery in the shape of a vast, branching fruit tree. It contains brief tidbits of notes that Valentin collects in the field before transferring the writing to more permanent records.
⬥ Ink Pen › A deceptively simple pen containing a plain black ink. Subtle runes are inscribed into the writing utensil, enchanting the ink to be waterproof and smudge-free.
