As he grew up he visited those stables constantly. Starting to take care of them from a very young age, taking care of and working with the Waverns like his family line always did. In his younger years from around the age of 30-50 he started to learn about the outside. The magic of mages and silvens and the world of Sorcery, being enraptured in its beauty. In the hold he began to learn elemental sorcery from the only sorcerer in his hold. Hence why that is mostly his discipline.
