Life Story January 24th, 241 AC - Vaeri Tu’mir was born to Frestica and Heikiti Tu’mir in Derronva, Drowda. Her parents’ experience in the Tribe of Ma’ella resulted in Vaeri following the same beliefs for the rest of her life. 249 (8 y/o) - Heikiti went out to the docks with Vaeri and helped her catch her first fish--a seven-inch Barnacle Trout. 254 (13 y/o) - The Sihndar was wandering through the hold and somehow ended up outside the walls. Lost and scared, she ran through the wilderness, only to come face-to-face with a Ridgeback Boar. She knew enough about animals at this point to figure out that it couldn’t be native to Drowda, so she naively tried to comfort it. The frightened and possibly Void-infested boar ran right into her, cutting up her stomach pretty bad. Soon enough, a guard patrol found her unconscious and brought her back to the hold, the boar gone. Once they arrived, they took her to the nearest clinic. She, thankfully, came out of it without any permanent damage besides a nasty scar below her ribcage. 255 (14 y/o) - When she had fully recovered, Vaeri and Heikiti went into a safer side of the woods. He taught her the basics of using a sword to kill small animals. 259 (18 y/o) - She finally left home, leaving with knowledge about hunting and fighting. Her mother had told her of the Tribe of Ma’ella and said that it might be a good place for her to perfect her talents. During her journey, the elf encountered the boar once more, of which she killed. 260 (19 y/o) - Vaeri arrived in the village by the lake. She was able to eventually join them and opened her shop in the town. 268 (27 y/o) - The Sihndar eventually left the tribe and returned to Derrovna to see if anything important had happened. While she was staying at an inn on the boardwalk, she saw a notice board looking for someone to join a crew on ocean adventures, of which she joined. The crew consisted of about five other people, with the Yanar being the captain. They all became very close as they sailed through Aloria together. During their journeys, there was a lot of downtime, so the captain found ways to entertain everyone. In this time, Vaeri slowly picked up more and more Plains Elven from her. They spent a lot of time playing music and dancing. 288 (47 y/o) - The crew took a long break from sailing to visit Derrovna, where they rented a large room together. This emboldened the Sihndar to ask the captain, Pyria, to go out with her. They had a lovely date together, but it was one of the worst things she had ever done. This is because, when they got back, their room was raided. A hooded Kathar had snuck into the city and murdered the only other Sihndar in their crew. Thankfully, one of the other crew members heard him yell and was able to avenge him. Vaeri is still horrified, knowing that if she was there, she might’ve also been killed. The result of this traumatic event was catastrophic. They went their separate ways, too distressed to worry about sailing. Vaeri continued sailing with Pyria, but it wasn’t as fun anymore. There were no fun songs or funny jokes. Just… emptiness. 301 (61 y/o) - The Sihndar eventually found the rest of the crew after such a long time. They continued their journeys, now joined by a new member to replace their old one. Their new ship, the Neatality, inspired the name of the new crew; the Neatals. Their motto was: “Tel’ Gyrah mor, tel’ Uskeche maskan Gyrah be’inway”, which roughly translated to: “The bird dies, the phoenix rise.” 308 (66 y/o) - The Neatals eventually found themselves in Regalia, where they, once again, split up. Present Day - Vaeri Tu’mir now owns a market stall, in which she sells the fish and animals she has recently hunted to the citizens of Regalia. As she had spent her whole life adventuring, she considered settling down with Pyria, but decided that there was still unfinished business. Her next life goal is to join a sophisticated hunting group--perhaps employed by Nobles--and gain some respect. Though she never forgot her friend and his sacrifice, she eventually had to move past those emotions. Ever since that event, she has had a tough time making good friends for fear of losing them as well.
