A notepad with quick and frantic handwriting on it is pinned onto the notice board in the Draconum Sanctuary by a figure in rusty armor.

Arenthir:
Everyday the caped crusaders wander in flocks about your precious Crookback and fling their man-given authority as an excuse to treat you like rodents. And it saddens me so to see us all entrapped in the bowels of their city, but even more so yet that many of you have growm comfortable with the place they've ascribed to you.
They abhor the forces that act beneath the surface, not because they are greater than it, but because they fear it. They fear the power that resides in you. They fear what is to become of them in the event that you rise to their level. To the same authority they possess.
That is why they sanitize you. Force you under their heels into these caverns, these dark halls, these sewers, where you are in check.
The sight of it makes me sick. That is why I have chosen to take action. That is why I have brought upon Regalia a most opportune hour where the battlefield is even on both sides. Where the nocturnal creatures of the night that they so abhor, the Necromancer and the Shades they dig from the grave, the syndicates and guilds that deserve their own territories above the surface, have a chance to rise above the system that rules us all, and enact our own dominion.
Imagine a Regalia where you are the Lords and the Ladies that govern the way of politics, of culture, of actoin. Imagine a time where aristocrats cannot sneer at the sight of you, in fear of the Demons that might swallow them whole. Imagine a Regalia where you are the judge, the jury, the executioner. Imagine a Regalia where the city is your playground. These are all the ambitions that have motivated me to bring a Tower out from the deepest pits of the earth and make it a blazing bonfire for the forces beyond our plane from where they sall feed on the lives of the people who have, for centuries past, made your own an unending misery.

Asmita:
A question, my lord. Why're we holding the meeting here?

Arenthir: The Regalians do not shy from entering Crookback. They do not shy from entering the sewers. However, I have heard very scarcely of their efforts to enter this deepest, most veiled grounds.

Asmita:
And your tower?

Arenthir:
The Tower continues to bustle with the surge of Demonic presence to such a degree that it has become inhabitable for most. It stands now as a power monolith, independent.

Asmita:
Your own tower's become inaccessible to you? Tosharr. But I digress.
Looks like you're off to recieve your next peasants.

(This is when Sylas enters, or at least I'm pretty sure it's Sylas. I have never met the guy.)

Sylas:
I heard you were waiting for me!

Arenthir:
It is a joy to finally put a face on the name that has been spoken to me many-a-times.

Sylas:
I am glad to hear that my name is spoken through so many different circles. All good things, I hope?

Arenthir:
They speak of your scrutiny towards our intentions for reasons that are yet to be made known to me. I specifically requested your presence so that we may speak and I might garner an understanding of the motives that drive you to oppose us.

Sylas:
I didn't think it requires much explanation. It's rather common sense, yes? You have brought calamity upon us all. A calamity that benefits no one but yourself.

Arenthir:
I have provided you all with an opportunity to take power for yourselves amidst the chaos. It is known to me how many of you carry Blodruna's gift in your veins.

Asmita: And those who don't?

Crow Savent Asha guy (I don't know most of these people, bear with me.):
A storm that disarmed enough of us for Lothar to be welcome to an open hunting season in Crookback.

Sylas:
So you're not even an Evolist, then. You have doomed anyone and everyone down here who isn't a Sanguine.
You invite the Lothar to take advantage of the lack of magic in merciless droves. The majority of people down here, are in fact, not Sanguine. And many bear magical abilities. You've doomed them all.

Arenthir:
Please. Do not act as if you have become helpless against a greater force. Any consequences that applies to you applies to your enemies also, the same enemies who have always wielded unorthodox methods including the magical nature to lead their vile crusade. If anything, you are even now.

Obvious Dread Loyalist Kathar guy:
As much disdain as I hold for this wet wipe, it si clear that there is only one word to describe the one before us. A lunatic. A deranged soul who might speak words of promise, but in truth is an agent of the same enemies of chaos and nothing more. If any of the gathered consider themselves right of mind, it is your duty to see this one's machinations fail and this storm lifted immediately.

Crow Savent Asha guy:
We were even before!

Old Ithanian Skyborn guy:
The same enemies with better resources than most of the people that live here.

Sylas:
You took away what was, for many people down here, their only means of defending themselves! This Magestorm targets all indiscriminately; all except for those who already feed upon the helpless. I did not come here to debate. You, and those who have protected you, will face vengeance tonight.

Mesmessei (I'm pretty sure that's him?):
Sylas! One of common bloodk, I've heard. It's a pleasure seeing you as always. I have a proposal for you.

Sylas:
I do not wish to hear it.

Mesmessei:
I think you very much do.

Sylas:
I rather dislike it when your lips begin to move. I look forward to skewering you, too.

Mesmessei:
And yet, you've failed to do so every time. I want to save us both the anguish and frustration.

Sylas:
Speak.

Mesmessei:
My goals are in Crookback, yours are the undercity here. In exchange for you not bothering me and mine on the topside, perhaps even having us lure some Lothar to Crookback rather than the sewers. You handle the person that wants to incinerate my stomping grounds. Call it a mistake! Didn't know he intended on razing the city. Whoopsies!

Arenthir:
TRAITOR!!!

Clown Kathar girl:
ENOUGH TALKING!!

Crow Savent Asha guy:
Then you only protected him for the clout that came with -- THERE WE GO!!!

(They fought after this. I'm not going to join in unless my life is in danger.)

*Insert a really bad drawing of Arenthir getting stabbed by multiple people. It's so bad and so smudged that the only person that can be made out is Arenthir.

The battle is over.

Arenthir is dead.
