Once the Premiums get there, it'd be like that... Starting Premium only seems rather unfair, as they already have the bonus of testing Quests, let alone their over 21 spares of upgrades. :C *Sob*

If you want the perks of a premium member, then simply save up enough silver to pay someone to buy it for you, this is what I do. You have no reason to complain really as premium is attainable by all with a bit of effort.

I'm not fond of the underground as I've yet to see a cave but above ground is beautiful.
