House/Clan Yoku
Basic Information
Main Ambition: Raise powerbase to "guard the world" ||See Ch'ien-Ji, wiki...
Main Business: Business/Accounting
Main Religion: Loong Dragon Worship
Roleplay Instigator: Approaching businesses and managing their finances, employees etc. Helping to manage the finances of businesses particularly in the Emporium.
Physical Description: 5'5-5'8 height, 100-165lbs, Black Hair, Bronze Skin, Gold Eyes.

Physical:
Ch'ien-Ji; with a similar build to most Ailor, their physical characteristics are perhaps a little more uniform making them otherwise look much more related than other humanoid races. The members of this particular family stand between 5'5 and 5'9, and whilst with the potential to be rather frail, tend towards being more muscular than is normally typical, normally having a [Toned] body build. Being pure blooded, they have bright golden eyes, characteristic of their race and lineage. Their skin is a bronze colour, contrasted by obsidian black hair.

Mental & Education Guidelines:
House Yoku are a typically traditional people, with heavy opposition to extreme deviation much like many Ch'ien-Ji families. The family are all incredibly unified in their loyalty and opinion outwardly, but are typical to debating behind closed doors - until a final decision is made. Members of the Yoku Clan are strong logical thinkers typically, with a strong attention span in tandem with excellent numeracy skills - as a result of private tutoring and mentoring of a young age. Whilst prospering most in peaceful times, and wanting nothing more than peace and prosperity, much like any other of their culture, Clan Yoku strives to unify and expand its clan to engulf numeral loyal members that can help to protect itself. Whether that be in preparation for the Huon-Ji, or for other unknown evils. The Yoku family believe and claim that their magics which they practice were the very same taught and then later used to create the Great Jade Barrier, that sealed away the corrupted all those years ago. They practice it now, as they believe that with enough practitioners, should something happen similarly or those sealed free themselves, they must have mastered the magic in order to once again keep the world safe. However, of course they are no where close and only command magic as well as any other mortal practitioner.

Religion:
The Ch'ien-Ji have lived on the continent of Shi-Yao-Lan for thousands of years, and as such had a strong relationship with the Loong Dragons of the far east, whom constantly communicated with them and shaped the Ch'ien-Ji's very religion and spirituality before they even separated from the Shen-Xi Empire (500BC). After this Great Flight, and after settling in the Yang-Tzu isles, the Yoku clan were forged by the isles rough and inhospitable nature, still with their strong religious connection to the Loong Dragons. After however, the Loong Dragons sacrificed themselves, their religion morphed into one where they looked for the Loong Dragons teachings in the Stars.

Family Relations:
House Cortada; The Yoku Clan are heavily loyal to the House Cortada. They are aware of House Cortada's history, and choose to support them as a result of a past debt that is not spoken of. House Cortada does not hold them as their vassals, but rather the Yoku clan formally chooses to be the vassal of said House, for their betterment.

House Jarsdel; The Yoku Clan currently maintain a friendly business relationship with the House Jarsdel, for the purpose of mutual betterment.

By the Matriarch of the Yoku Clan, Su Yoku,
Peaceful times - 540BC

The Yoku Clan prospered during peace, not even touching magic particularly at this time, except for the few lessons the Matriarch would learn from the Loong Dragons when conversing. At this time, the Matriarch was the oldest in the clan, with two children who had reached maturity and were going on to have children of their own. The Clan was single and undivided. Yoku's members were farmers and rice paddy workers typically, or at most hired those to do it for them peacefully. Generally, they were a poor clan, but considered themselves rich in personality and family. Rich in integrity.

By the Patriarch of the Yoku Clan,
The Yoku Clan quickly packing to leave after learning of the Empress' failure - 500BC

When the Yoku Clan heard of what was happening within the Empire, they were slow to believe and trust the news. Learning for certain, however, that the Emperor Kai-Zhen Song, had broken sacred traditions and subjugated weaker states surrounding his lands - and later learning that he had even turned on the Loong dragons, it was impossible for the Yoku Clan to sit idly by. They either had to leave or fight - and whilst some of their men were lost during this time it is uncertain whether that was to fight the Emperors army or whether they died escaping. Records of it have not been found.

By the Patriarch of the Yoku Clan,
escaping the Shen-Xi Empire to the Yang Tzu Isles - 499 BC

Upon braving the seas, despite having little to no experience in boats with only minor experience shallow shore fishing, the Yoku Clan attempted to assist in the setting up of a functional governance and society with only resistance in mind, against the Shen-Xi empire. They became military minded and magically inclined in retaliation toward those they lost and the home that had been desecrated. Moreover, they vowed to protect the Loong Dragons interests. This proved difficult but happened nonetheless. Those within the clan proved to have innate abilities rarely seen, so much so that it soon became commonplace for an individual to learn magic aside from the Patriarch and Patriarch in training. This magic, however, was always Celestial, with the Patriarch himself being taught in-depth magic spoken of once by Loong Dragons, to Su Yoku. This passing of tradition and careful meticulous study stands to attain the knowledge of creating a Jade barrier, like the one created to protect the world from the Empire.

The family eventually migrated to Regalia, whereupon they set about purchasing plots of land to set a reputation for the family as more than just a migrating Ch'ien-Ji family. Afterwards, these plots of land were used in the coercion of other landowners into allowing the family to handle finance le and stewardship of businesses. The Yoku clan has severely increased their wealth over their original holdings back in times of peace and prosperity. Although whether they still value their way of life as much, is debatable. They can no longer boast themselves rich in integrity.

In current day roleplay, four different businesses have been handled, with more being looked at, beyond other more obscure day to day ventures icly. Members of the family are living in a medium sized house, situated in the city close to Regalia's hotspots, although they own a plethora of rented properties used for various purposes not to be disclosed in a forum (due to metagaming).

Additional information:
- Custom allows for the head of a patriarchal family to keep a concubine, should the wife bare no children. The children of the concubine would succeed to the headship of the family, to secure its continuation. If neither concubine nor wife bear child, then custom allows the family head to adopt a successor.
-Chokkei are those recognised as being related in the family line. Where successors, their spouses and possible successors are included.
-Bokei; are those recognised as being outside the family members, where all other family members including relatives and servants are grouped. (A servant would be part of the family, and protected as such, and known as a Bokei).
-The head of the family is responsible for all bokei members, and directs the labor of family members in the management of the household/clan. Succession, known as Katokusozoku, is to succeed to the family headship.
-Without any children, on Katokusozoku, the head of the family will usually adopt a boy to act as his son, and a girl to act as the sons wife in the future.

Hello! I am going to list somethings that don't seem to be lore-complaint in this family.

That's it! I look forward to seeing this family grow!

@Lord_Immortal

The word Katana was used to describe the style of blade given to that Preset, so saying NOT LORE COMPLIANT
Ah, so you basically just made up your own lore? I guess the Ch'ien-Ji's would rather use a weird shaped blade as their weapon, especially with turall. Are you seriously going to insult me when you clearly don't know that Ch'ien-Ji can't reach the ripped body build. Why would your family like fighting and don't like Wulong, but continue to fight; Ch'ien-Ji think fighting is brute and aggressive which is why they don't like to fight. Turall says on the lore that they use arming swords and daggers, not some funky make up of a katana.

Why are you insulting me by the way I am reading your reply? Are you really that mad because of a tiny critique? OR, are you that passive-aggressive that it just makes you sound insulting.

Also, pardon me for saying Ch'ien-Ji for not having bronze skin, I thought you meant it as an actual bronze. yellowish-bronze Would make more sense. And, I see where it says Ch'ien-Ji are 5'9... Though it says on the wiki they're 5'8?

I kinda just want to point out what Imperial got right, because some of it is something keep in mind for the family and how it kinda hurts the concept you're going for, unfortunately. I'm not Lore staff, but I think I can say this in a way that isn't arrogant.

The Ch'ien-Ji body build will not be a good pick for turall, your character must be physically fit which Ch'ien-Ji's cannot achieve.
Sadly, this is true. Ch'ien-ji aren't really fighters. That's not their niche. Turrall requires a ripped build at warrior stage (which implies lower levels may have bulky builds too, you have to progress there after all), and considering how Ch'ien-ji can't progress past toned, the school isn't a good fit.
Ch'ien-ji don't have bronze skin.
They're described to have a pale tan- I think bronze is too dark to fit into that, but a bronze hue could probably be had.
The word Katana was used to describe the style of blade given to that Preset, so saying NOT LORE COMPLIANT, is just outright ridiculous.
If I recall correctly, we (when I was apart of that project) never wrote up any asian-esque weapons on the wiki for the weapons project. So technically speaking, he's not.. Wrong. I'd avoid any asian-esque weapons for now.

I feel like I have to step in here.

Main Fighting Discipline: Celestial Magic (Kaitis)
@Imperialistic is right in bringing up that this is a magic form, and I'd like to expand upon that by saying that you shouldn't be relying on magic as the main fighting discipline of your family when you, yourself, don't have a Trustee permission. Magic being so dependent on that permission makes it completely nonviable for a roleplay family's main focus in combat.

Secondary Fighting Discipline: School of Turall (Hybrid)
Ripped for Bokai(Minimum)
@Witchblooded is right in bringing up that Chi'en-ji aren't fighters- because they aren't. Warrior-level School of Turall requires a Ripped body build, which Chi'en-ji can't reach. Their build-cap is Toned, making it completely impractical for them to at all try to be Turall Bladesmen.

The family provides this individual with Half-Katana (Wakizashi), katana being used to describe the distinct look of the blade and not the folding techniques or practices used to forge such.
Imperalistic is also correct in saying katana aren't lore-compliant; they specifically do not exist in-lore, and haven't for years now. Even in just the style of image, they don't exist at all in Aloria.

Physical Description: 5'5-5'9 height, 100-165lbs, Black Hair, Bronze Skin, Gold Eyes
Both Imperialistic and Witchblooded raise valid points here, in that 5'9 is an unattainable height for Chi'en-ji, and that they don't have bronze skin tones. The infobox for Chi'en-ji on the Wiki states that their skin-tones are 'a pale tan', but the Physical Description section specifies 'yellowish-bronze' rather than saying bronze outright. Although these are at odds with each other, the art of the Chi'en-ji on the page is by no means 'bronze', giving more validity to the infobox's specification of skin tone. As such, bronze is an incompliant skin colour for Chi'en-Ji.

For future reference though, I'm not looking for constructive criticism. Any mistakes or issues are bound to be worked out simply through re-reading and roleplaying the family.
Finally, whether or not you want constructive criticism doesn't matter. As an ex-member of Lore staff, you should know better than to openly misconstrue pre-established lore and then argue in favour of your own abridged version of it. Your previous status as Lore staff gives you more sway than the average player, which is something I believe you should be more conscious of when creating organisations on the server, especially when going against the lore in so many places. Further, by posting this in a public forum, it becomes open to public criticism.

I hope you take this in mind as you move forward with your family, and good luck with its future!

The Ch'ien-ji lore is currently undergoing a major lore rewrite.
