The Vampire Plugin Is No More!

Screw this and the horse it rode in on. I don't care if the horse didn't have anything to do with it. I know it's just an animal being led around by the idiot who's riding it and that it's innocent and in no way culpable, but screw that horse anyway
Exactly how much acid did you do before you wrote this?

Other than feeding off animals and players by punching or blood offers yes you can do all that.

The biggest thing lost is the bloodlust which beyond fighting is pretty useless as it doesn't last long without hitting something that gives you food bars and for fighting it's just way too OP to keep around.
They don't have the slow nausea and blindness effects though, or using an altar to transform, or using the hunger meter to heal directly. The immersion factor is gone, it's not as fun with traits. Plus we don't have enough points to add every trait that would make up for vampires. I get that it caused problems so I'm really hoping the staff can fix those and put back the parts people liked.

It's been removed before. This isn't anything new and I don't see the big deal if it can easily be recreated with traits. If anything it was detrimental to RP with everyone shrieking every two seconds, now at least they can emote it out with good enough reason. People made it through last time it was removed, they'll make it this time.
Yes you can recreate some of the features but not all. Especially if you are not a premium member.

harmsunlight, unholy, fallimmune, speed, jump, nightvision
That's all you need for essentially every vampire and completely possible without being prem. Unless I'm leaving something out? Specific bloodlines are a bit harder but if you think about it any other trait that isn't one of the ones from above is PvP related and if it's with RP situations it can be rp'd out or just replaced for another trait.

That and it's not mandatory to recreate your race or every little detail. Its helpful for immersion but you're the only one who really notes any changes unless it's speed/burning in the sun (which should/can be rp'd out in emote regardless)

Truce with all mobs, no need for breathing underwater, no hunger, faster healing by absorbing the hunger bar, feeding(healing) by hitting animals, trading blood, using altars, burning in the sun.

Its not about recreating a race or whatever the lore is. These things were what made it immersive. Most vampire players probably didn't even pay attention to whatever the correct lore is. And it's not for rping because it made the faction worlds more fun. Why would anyone emote burning in the sun alone by themselves when theyre out exploring?

I was very obviously talking about it in a RP sense, not a PvP sense.

It's pretty well known that most PvP-ers are premium at one point or another, and you can have more space to add all the appropriate traits. The ones that don't are out of luck for a while, unless they can think of some combination that works for them. Altars were only used for infection, and didn't actually do anything other than that, blood and pvp were the other methods.

I again, was very obviously talking about it in a RP sense and not a PvP one. The vampire plugin like a few others was made for everyone on the server, it was made for roleplaying because it added something new, it wasn't just added for PvP. That it made the faction worlds more fun is purely and opinion that I'm sure someone else has a valid argument to as I don't frequent the PvP scene. Obviously you're not going to emote burning in the sun if you're not roleplaying, as I said before this was not directed at the PvP community.

What even was the purpose of the vampire plugin if we have traits for it? Like.. You guys mad about losing bloodlust or something? Was it even enabled? I don't remember it being enabled.

For those of you saying it's a part of Massive, well, yeah, but so was the old Regalia, but that's gone now isn't it? Time moves on. Some of you people seriously need to move on, tbh.

edit: rip the necro by like 13 days
