Even as I write this, the vampire plugin has been removed. I for one am happy, as this will mean less controversy over said plugin in relation to PvP. I haven't seen a server-wide announcement as of yet, but I have confirmation from staff that the plugin is currently disabled. So for all of us that have been waiting for this glorious day, it's finally here, and as for you all who actually used the plugin all I've got to say is- Better start traiting up! :)

Actually the majority of the pvp community voted for the vampire plugin to be disabled, if Rpers wish to be a vamp just do /t add harmsunlight
/t add unholy and /t add shriek

Apologies to any who were offended by the initial wording of this post, it was brought to my attention that some may find it offensive. This was not my intention, I suppose I got a bit overzealous in my excitement for this event.

Oh, your fine. I just am a bit saddened as to the removal of the plugin.

The plugin was working fine for RP purposes - Why not make it a Regalia-only thing. Or something, I dunno.

(I'm really happy btw)

Coincidentally I learned about this at around the same time I discovered they removed part of the fence in front of the sewers. That was a happy day for me.

The plugin was a large part of Massivecraft history. I for one am sad at its removal.
It's been removed before. This isn't anything new and I don't see the big deal if it can easily be recreated with traits. If anything it was detrimental to RP with everyone shrieking every two seconds, now at least they can emote it out with good enough reason. People made it through last time it was removed, they'll make it this time.

If it wasn't for you meddling kids vampire would still be around. Screw you for removing it, it's the only thing which ever have a chance for non prems to Pvp. Good job. That's my opinion

I'd recommend keeping comments respectful, considering the man who created this plugin is also the man who owns and maintains this server.
I am almost pretty sure Cay didn't code it. Monmarty went over it in the PVP think tank chat on Skype. He said it could not be edited since it was old and outdated and they'd have to wait for the owner to update it. I could be wrong though.

I'm not sad and I'm not upset. I'm pissed. The vampire plugin was something I really enjoyed and was my favorite part of the game. I love massive but with this plugin leaving (possibly for good?), the old maps being deleted, and having to put up with massive restore's existence I don't know if I'm going to be playing as often. That's not a threat, it's just the truth. I hear some people here saying you can recreate the vamp experience with traits. How? Can you make it exactly the same? Sunlight damage, no fall damage, no need to eat, being able to feed on animals and other players? Otherwise I don't think it really counts. Screw this and the horse it rode in on. I don't care if the horse didn't have anything to do with it. I know it's just an animal being led around by the idiot who's riding it and that it's innocent and in no way culpable, but screw that horse anyway.

Other than feeding off animals and players by punching or blood offers yes you can do all that.

The biggest thing lost is the bloodlust which beyond fighting is pretty useless as it doesn't last long without hitting something that gives you food bars and for fighting it's just way too OP to keep around.
