Born of the belief that existing mindsets regarding combat within the Regalian Empire are severely outdated, The Regalian Pit Fighter's Guild formed as an answer to the ever-changing battlefields of Aloria. Within the confines of the arena, all non-heretical forms of combat are permitted with the goal of training the Empire's combatants to the best they can be for when they are inevitably faced with a threat they otherwise could not be prepared for.
Publicly accessible to any who wish to and request to view it is the Pit Fighter's Guild roster. This document allows potential benefactors, donators, or average fans of the Guild to view fighters currently on the roster. This also allows investors to view fighter records, win percentage, and a variety of other statistics that will allow them to determine which fighter they may desire to invest in or sponsor under contract.
Fighter contracts work similarly to any other contract in that a benefactor may "hire" a fighter to represent them, their house, or organization within the Guild. This contract however may be outbid by a third-party which offers the fighter in question the ability to accept or decline the increased bid. This permits rivalry and competition outside of the Pit as well as within because tournament win records are bound to the individual, not the benefactor. This is designed to motivate benefactors to maintain positive relationships with their fighters in the best case and encourage competitive contract bidding in the worst.
Tournaments may be hosted by any with the wealth and interest to do so. Tournaments allow a benefactor to promote their brand, company, noble house, or other guild not in competition with the Pit Fighter's Guild. There are a variety of tournaments able to be hosted with varying fees associated each to ensure spectator safety, food and drink, and other associated expenses such as decorating the pit with the benefactor's decor of choice. The various types of tournaments and their associated fees can be found below:
Standard Tournament of Arms - 1500 Regals
A standard tournament of arms is a come-as-they-are type fight where those with paid memberships or last-minute entry fees paid can test their mettle against other fighters in hopes of earning the title. Benefactors also gain benefits should their fighter be the one to claim the title.
Rumble of Royals - 3000 Regals
A raffle style tournament in which benefactors names are drawn from a bowl to determine which benefactor's fighter(s) will be matched with who's. Benefactors will have the choice of placing all of their fighters in the ring to better their chances of winning or only placing one in to improve their chances of outlasting the other benefactors' rosters. The benefactor with the last fighter standing earns the title.
Trial of the Wilds Tournament - 5000 Regals
The most over-the-top, fantastical tournament able to be hosted at present. This tournament is a free-for-all among both man and beast with the latter imported from the host's continent of choice. This can range from things as simple as wolves to things as wild and dangerous as Frosthorns. This tournament is a Last-Man-Standing type arrangement in which the last fighter will have to compete with whichever of the imported beasts the host has chosen as the final gateway to victory. If the beast wins against a fighter not sponsored by the host, the host will win the tournament. The audience is able to participate to a certain extent, with various cues creating changes in the arena and in the battle.
Spectator's Spectacle - 10,000 Regals
Hosted near exclusively by the Guild, Spectator's Spectacle is by far the wackiest and off-the-rails tournament possible. In the Spectacle, the spectators are able to determine what the combatants fight with be it ranged weaponry, close-quarters blades, or something as random as a street vendor's trout. This tournament is designed to far and away have the most interactivity with the spectators to avoid the banal nature of a standard tournament of arms.
In the spirit of the Guild's mentality, any and all are welcome to participate in the fights provided so long as they are able to supply a membership fee of at least two-hundred-fifty (250) regals. This is to ensure that the Guild is able to maintain its operation as well as provide room, board, and equipment to its members to allow them to not only better train, but to better entertain. Overages also permit the Guild to minimize the cost of benefactors hosting tournaments.
For those interested in joining, participating, or acting as benefactors/sponsors. Guild admission is incredibly straight-forward. For those desiring to partake as fighters, the membership fee applies. Benefactors, donators, and other sponsors are welcome to simply state their interest in funding the guild via letter to Henrik Norrvakt to be considered a part of the Guild backing.

Ex. Henrik Norrvakt's contract is 500 Regals under House Cadieux. House Howlester comes and offers Henrik a 1000 Regal contract to represent House Howlester within the Guild. Henrik May accept or reject this offer of his own volition.
