Nomegusta. Doesn't look like a printing press at all, IMO.

It's ok to voice your opinion. However, even though it doesn't look like one, it works. The whole point of making it that way is so that it looks so unrealistic, that our compeititors won't use it.

Gonna be honest as well, now I think about it, a printing press would be a bit more... industrial. Less wood and more visible piston mechanism.

How could it possibly work in minecraft? There is no printing press block...I do not get it.

A printing press block? What would you define a printing press block to be? For me, it's a golden production line.

Though I do see what Mecharic is saying. I could possibly replace the wood with iron, just to make it seem more metal-like instead of wooden.

You do have to remember though, at this time period, printing presses were an experiment. This is an experiment in the works.
