So killing someone a few times in a video game is now considered bullying? Sure, I could understand if someone did it over and over again, not giving that person a single break. But what I did was in no way bullying. If you want to continue saying I was then report me. Be sure to contain a lot of evidence.

I'm Not Talking about you Personally I'm talking about what Magnanimus is doing
 
The point of the matter here folks is: Video games were like this a long time before half of you even started playing. You kill people, you take their stuff. There's always going to be somebody out there killing you or trying to kill you. No matter what.
 
I just.... wow, I don't understand why rpers can't just hide or go to a spawn and rp, also a tip for those peaceful factions that are supposedly always getting raided, try this little command (/dynmap hide) I know a good portion of pvpers including myself hunt/raid people through the dynmap for those who are showing themselves. I think Mag has the right to do what they like (as long as it is within the boundary of the rules). The Pvp, Rp and building communities are all part of Massivecraft, everyone should just accept that they are here and that they are not going away.

There is not reason to be uncivil about this ... like pvpers acting superior or even rpers calling pvper bullies.. both sides are throwing the punches, and yes I understand that this argument will continue on...it was the exact same argument 2 years ago when I joined and it will probably still be the same argument in a year, this is just me throwing my opinion out there. Note: please don't drag me into the flame, I consider myself a Pvp/rper/builder... I understand y'alls pain but I don't think people should be getting their panties in a twist over it <3

Hi, love. I agree about lots of things you stated. Yes, Mag is probably doing this to show everyone that they are not scared. They're a great faction, but some of their actions are pure ridicule. As the dark times occurring, it's obvious that if certain factions teamed up everyone'd be fine. I don't particularly 'support' Mag. I don't really have a standing ground in this situation, but I won't surrender to them because they want regals. If they wanna raid us, they can be our guest. We've got some great PvPers that I'm sure would love to help us out. We've been raided by Mag before, and when I received the finishing report, I was pleased that apparently we had one. I don't know if this is true, but I was told. I'm sure Mag would say they won, and we would say we won. That's where I am on this situation, and I'm ready for the hate :P
 
Atheria, my faction, (had) over 70 members when early this morning Magnanimus enemied us the faction is by no means a pvp faction. Upon arrival, they demanded FULL TRIBUTE for surrender, in which case they would "Protect" us. Seems to me the great Undead horde that is Magnanimus is low on funds, and in turn is enemying and raiding the crap out of any faction that has a large active member base. Clearly me and the rest of the Atherian Empire stand against Magnanimus and their rash and somewhat ill-advised actions against Aloria.

Bullying is "use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants." If you think the faction is bullying other factions, why not report it? Don't complain about it, take action.
Please don't hate on me.

Ok. Just to let everyone know, Mag are well within their rights to raid you for 2 hours a week, but they have to have a war declaration approved to raid you more than that. Two hours a week really isn't much, in the grand scheme of things. Within the old raid rules, the RP reason needed could have been 'we need resources' or 'we want your faction'. Whatever it may have been, the new raid rules actually benefit you. Also, people of Aloria, if you're that bothered about Magnanimus raiding you, band together, train, put up a fight, don't just take to the forums and complain. If you're that interested in RP, fight back. That's how wars were fought, so why not do it how it was done? If you don't want them raiding you, pay the tribute and they can't raid you for 75 days. If the worst comes to the worst, just hide, build indoors, RP with them, I don't know. Just don't complain as soon as hardship hits you in the face.

I was raided by Mag daily during their attempted conquest of the server, got confined to my faction home, and lost countless amounts of gear. It was all I did for days on end, all I could do. So please, just get on with life. Go see an ally, build, or fight back. It can actually be fun sometimes
 
I am a rp'er and the closest thing i ever come in contact with pvp is when i hunt for mobs, i understant teh pvp'er want some fun and i understand that the rp'ers don't want to get raided. it's easy for me to say "arg pvp'ers stay away from teh peacfull rp'ers and warn them before you raid them" but i think that's an impossible thing to ask from the pvp'ers. but it would be nice if that was done. if i knew i would be warned (even ig it was just 1 minute before teh actual raid) i could stuff my realy valuable rp stuf away and get my trow away gear to defend without needing to worry to lose my rp gear. If i knew i would get my stuf back i wouldn't even use my trow away gear and use the best gear i have. (and maybe just maybe i stayd neutral during this, i tried rly so dun kil me if i wasn't please)

There is also quiet a bit of irony here too, Think about it this way, if RAPTUM mag's only decent PvP Based enemy is backing Mag in this... You might wanna reconsider what you are saying.

Last I checked terraria was against what people were saying about mag, Forums not in game bud. Also what did I spell wrong?

On the forums, as a player, I am agreeing with Magnaniums. In character however, a storm is occurring against them.
 
Some people are getting really emotionally invested on this thread.
  • Take a step back
  • Roleplay a bit in Regalia if you are a roleplayer
  • Understand again that accusing staff of abuse, even on the forum, will result in a forum AND server ban if it is a baseless claim with no other intention than to flame the staff.
  • Eat some cake.
  • Remember this is a game.
  • Remember there are people behind every keyboard.

And above all, remember real life has pirates, vikings, bandits and just people who generally want to see the world burn. It's not like you can plea a viking not to attack your hamlet and rape your women and put your monks to the sword just because they are disrupting your conversation about some theoretically intense family drama plot.

Roleplay is only protected in Regalia, make use of that.

I'm sure there are infinite factions not invested on this thread who have no idea what is going on, and pose quite juicy loot if attacked.
 
Then go revise instead of pointlessly wasting time on a thread arguing with people about their morals and choice of word. :V
 
The concept of PvP vs. RP shouldn't even be a thing. In my mind, you can easily incorporate both elements in your playstyle if you so choose. I used to raid factions and demand cows as tribute due to my people's lack of farming. The main thing is to be a good sport about it. The Rpers are not better than the PvPers and the PvPers are not better than the Rpers. We are all playing a game the way we all enjoy it. Do not get pissy when someone else's playstyle differs from yours. Rather, try to see the enjoyment on their side. Explore different ways to play the game. I support what Magnanimus is doing because it will get people to act. It is getting people to try a different playstyle. If the entire point of this thread was to bitch and whine about the big bad mag attacking you, and it was some sort of effort to boycote it; then I am heavily disappointed in anyone who called them out in the start. I am also disapointed in any PvPers who decided to push the matter further with more flame. Poor examples on both sides. You may not care what I think of you, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that you are aware that someone disagrees with you. Lets remember this is minecraft and play the game, eh?
 
Plz form a colition that is actually powerful so I have a reason to play on my computer during summer... :D
