[Introduction]
The Lev'illija family has stood throughout the centuries as a proud family of mercenaries. Although, due to the often brutal and inelegant connotations of their chosen craft, many Lev'illija's call themselves things other than sellswords. It is also not entirely uncommon for family members to verge into other fields depending on their interests, such as metallurgy or even medicine. Finding their roots on the continent of Teled Methen, this family hails from the Central Altalar culture and are more often than not apart of the cult of Taela. They also follow the Faith of Estel, though their chosen patrons can vary from Ulley to Tal'seith.

[History]
The Lev'illja family first appears in records dating back to the early years of the Floundering. Little is known about the founding member or members of the family, but records from the later years of the Consolidation show that there was a group of combatants, perhaps an early mercenary company, by a similar name. As such it is generally believed that this group intermarried and formed into the first generation of the family.
The family found prosperity during the Floundering, seemingly working as protectors or combatants for the wealthy during this tumultuous time. Some suspect that they may have even engaged in subterfuge, but there is little to confirm such. This seemingly continued into the Grandning, though in a different manner. It is suspected that this time period was where the family developed their value of wit and social awareness, and an overall preference to conduct themselves in a proper manner.
The family seemingly experienced another period of growth during the Blossoming, as the records indicate a spike in wealth. It is suspected that they found service in the armies of the Mage Wars, though not without a cost. Many members were lost in the fighting, as they had likely grown lax with the upkeep of their skills through the Grandening. Nevertheless, they continued selling their services as mercenaries even through the Fracture of Allorn, though on a more local scale.
The subsequent Void Invasion, Wildering, and other civil conflicts had a heavy toll on the family. Many more members were lost, weather it be to the effects of the Wildering or rebelling slaves, and much of the families wealth disappeared. At the end of it all, the survivors banded together to survive this tumultuous time.
As the years progressed and things stabilized within the Altalar lands, times became much less bleak for the family. Iefry, a survivor of the fall of Allorn, took control and began to recuperate some of the families lost wealth through their work. Mercenary work was proving once again to be profitable, and the family thrived on the business.
Although, this seems to be changing. As the youngest generations come of age in a world increasingly influenced by the Ailor, they find themselves drawn to their lands of a myriad of reasons. Their causes vary, from being dissatisfied with mercenary work, to escaping the threat of the Dread Empire, or even just to join family members and everything in between.

[Family Traits]
Appearance
While they consider themselves Teledden Altalar in both appearance and culture, the family never concerned themselves with keeping their lineage pure. Marriage with other kinds of Altalar and bastards are not unheard of, and it has been speculated that their blood mixed with that of other races in the past. As such, their traits tends to fit with the darker end of the Central Altalar spectrum. Members of the family tend to have dark or medium blonde hair, and any lighter is practically unheard of. Their eye colors vary, but the most common by far is some shade of blue or blue grey.
Upbringing
All Lev'illja's born into the family, regardless of gender, have a similar upbringing. They are all pushed to become mercenaries from a young age, and as such, have some degree of combat training. Although, the kind of training varies. Different family members have been known to specialise in different combat styles, from archery to stave work. Lev'illja's are also encouraged to take up some form of art or scholarly studies. This is done less because they value knowledge and the arts, but more so to give them a leg up in the competitive society of the Altalar. Although, it is not unheard of for a member to take a shine to a particular study, and pursue a career in that field rather than live the life of a mercenary.
Personality wise, Lev'illija's are pushed to be outgoing and socially aware from a young age. They are taught to conduct themselves in a proper manner, and as such can rarely be described as crass.
[Traditions]
♦ More TBA!
[Notable Le'vilja's]
♦ Nej'leon Lev'illja [Alive | 77 | Playable] Nej'leon was born from the union of Filverel Le'vilja and an unknown Altalar woman. Even so, he was quickly legitimized after his fathers discovery of him and raised as a Lev'illija. Nej is known as a charming, yet high-strung man who would like to join his daughter Hijna'cieli in Regalia.
♦ Salana Lev'illja [Deceased] Salana was the beloved wife of Nej, and mother of Cieli. She is often illustrated by her husband as a passionate woman with a love of the sea and her homeland.
♦ Hijna'cieli Lev'illja [Alive | 37 | @CyberMo01 ] Hijna'cieli is known to be a charming, yet lazy woman and is the only child of Salana and Nej'leon. She currently resides in Regalia, having turned her back on mercenary work to pursue a different path.
♦ Aravae Lev'illja [Alive | 54 | Playable] The eldest child of Alosrin and Riluaneth Le'vilja, and Saleh'nali's elder sister.
♦ Saleh'nali Lev'illja [Alive | 42 | @OliverOnly ] The youngest of Alosrin and Riluaneth Lev'ilja's children, the seasoned mercenary is a very by the book, dull person. Sal, unlike other Altalar, is not outwardly arrogant and self-righteous, but instead more apathetic and unenthusiastic all together.
