Extra: The Various Arts
Windfall | Developed and passed on to Erras by his warrior grandmother
Inspired by Kosen Judo and Capoeira, Windfall is an evasive style with a focus on the management of distance - not just to maintain space, but also to take it away. There is an emphasis on sweeps, trips and sacrifice throws with the ultimate goal being to pin or submit an opponent with minimal physical damage done to them.
Palattu | Developed by the Orcs roaming Daendroc
Famous as the foundation of all competent boxers, Palattu is the most prominent style of pugilism in the known world. There are three classical styles: The Lightweight, The Regular, and The Heavyweight - each style emphasises different aspects of strategy, movement and win conditions.
Lecgaen Wrestling | Developed by the Highlanders of Gallovia
Likely inspired by sambo and various styles of wrestling, The School of Lecgaen has a diverse set of sub-schools and grappling techniques within. Those who practice this style are often hardy, physically impressive and can boast impressive, high-impact takedowns alongside brutal submissions.
Sølslåssing | Unknown Northern Origins
Known to most Regalians as "Northern Mud Wrestling", this style practiced primarily amongst the Velheim is known for what the unofficial name implies - the art of literally 'dirty' fighting.
Om Lech | Developed by the Mevoriim
Due to the extreme nature of this style, it is not welcome within The Hall of Windfall; techniques which are claimed to be 'so brutal they can not be used in sparring without killing the opponent' do not lend themselves well to a training environment in the eyes of Erras.
Aikido | Developed by Morihei Ueshiba
Known as an art which possesses the requisite material, Aikido proves itself as the strongest ever style of-- Wait, this doesn't exist on Massive.
