Created by the enigmatic Gray Lady, Claire d'Anjou, the Gray Market serves to facilitate trade and create diplomatic channels between the different gangs and organizations in Old Town. All purchases and requests remain anonymous, only the one making the request and the vendor will know. The Market recently merged with The Requisition, becoming a special, semi-autonomous sub-group.

Every gang has a different objective, but all gangs will, eventually, have need of something they don't have access to, whether that be mercenaries, information, and legal or not-so legal goods. The Monopoly is willing to serve everyone, provided they do not attempt to sabotage profits or slander the Monopoly.

The Market itself is not currently in a fixed location, rather it is the idea of the place where one buys the goods. The Monopoly owns the Market, and provides services like mercenary hiring, information requests, or granting Charters.

List of Charters:​

Membership Charter: Become a member of the Gray Market Monopoly and get a percentage of the (fake) profits in return for either promoting the market or for owning one of the Charters listed below.
Merchant Charter: Will allow the holder to advertise and sell goods at The Gray Market.
Sellsword Charter: These people can loan their fighting prowess to the highest bidder. They will also be hired by the Gray Market Monopoly to also defend the Market if need be, and will be paid accordingly.
Customer Charter: Required to buy anything at the Market or from the Monopoly. This one is free. There is a group version if you want your organization to be able to utilise the Monopoly's services. (You can get one OOCly by joining the Discord, only groups/gangs will actually have to do an interaction IC. You won't ever be asked if you have one when you're purchasing anything, this is just adding flair to the lore.)

Hierarchy:​

The Circle is the small governing body of the Monopoly
The Gray Lady: Leader of the Gray Market Monopoly and owner of the Gray Market.
Mercator Maxima: Head Merchant, second in command. Oversees the Market and acts on the Gray Lady's behalf.
The Enforcer: Handles disciplinary matters and organizes any mercenary contracts.
ArchAlchemist: Chief alchemist, does alchemy things.
All other members are simply known as members.

OOC Notes:​

Yes, it's "The Black Market" but slightly more legal, that's the uninspired title. Hoping this will create more rp for gangs, as it's meant to serve as a sort of hub for any Black Market rp. Anyone can use the services without being a member of the Requisition, but I'd love it if you did. The number one rule is that all requests are anonymous, only Claire really knows everything that's going on, so don't be rude and break peoples' trust.
