Fighting Strength:
A force of 3,000 men, composed of three battalions.
Current Status: Contracted.
Origins

The Good Company of Harald Steadfast formed April 1st 307AC amid the reign of Emperor Alexander, by upstart Regalian Nobleman Vulmar Ravenstad. Vulmar's crowning achievement was his coronation as Grand Archduke of the Hinterlands, but it would be a fruitful yet short-lived experience. His stint in political office is still remembered by some, with a total of two terms as Consul of the Regalian Empire and a brief tenure as Marshal of the West.

The Good Company was made manifest with the intent of standing apart from the common rabble of mercenary companies. With Hightower efficiency, Blackguard ruthlessness, and its own brand of youthful vigour, it seeks to change the playing field of mercenary work forever. A Code of Virtuous Honour imposed upon its Regiments reflects the nature of its creator and mirrors the Regalian Army in its commitment to these moral obligations. All in all, it is a company that holds its contract highly, though chooses its employment with the Creeds in mind as the company's namesake; Harald Steadfast is the Heron of the Shield.

Cyprien sat at his home in the Hinterlande, enjoying the swamp life. His wooden hand had now been an adjusted part of his daily routine as he camped out with a number of former servants and loyal companions.

One leisurely day a man walked onto his swamp, informing Cyprien of the news. Cyprien grabbed his hammer with a nod "Where to?" he'd say, ready as he had been born to be. With the man's reply he rallied up any wishing to join him and began on the road to rejoin Vulmar on the field of battle. For glory. To rebuild oneself a man. For House Faulkner.
