Welcome to the Gauntlet Tavern! Proudly standing within the Velheim Square, this northerner-owned bar and restaurant is still serving your favorite brews, and hearty stews, to the good people of Regalia who need a little taste of good old fashioned northern comfort. Come by and see if we're roasting some of our famous slow-cooked pork over the spit, and enjoy friendly conversation with your fellow Regalians from every corner of Aloria.

All are welcome in the Gauntlet Tavern, high born or low! But don't even think about causing trouble; the Iron Watch is always near, and if you stir a fight in this bar, you'll end up finishing it one way or another in the fighting pit outside!

Our large bar-counter seats plenty of wanderers who just want to pop in and see who's around, but if you have a party to host, we also have a seating area which includes a large party table. Need more space? There's also patio seating, and several lounging areas within the Square that we're happy to cater to. The Gauntlet prides itself on providing a warm and casual experience amidst our crackling fires, plush seating, and comfort foods. Hanging tapestries adorn the walls, depicting scenes of northern history and nature.

Keep your ears open for our events! We enjoy hosting game nights and fun activities, having in the past hosted crab racing, hot pepper eating contests, and tournaments!


Have wares to sell? The Gauntlet is proud to stock locally sourced foods, brews, and wines. Bards who wish to earn some coin will be paid to entertain our guests. Want to host an event in the Square, or within the bar? Would you like the Gauntlet to cater your event with food and drink? Seek Sivrid Kensley (MrsCripple) to schedule.

About the owners:

The Kensleys are a pair of proud Northerners who are glad to share their culture with the good people of Regalia. They are both members of the Iron Watch Guard Charter, and uphold a standard of respect and friendship within the bar. Sivrid Kensley extends her services as a Valsung to her Northern brethren, and is qualified to offer certain funeral rites. Should any seek the services of a Valsung, she can often be found in the tavern, or patrolling as a guard.

Community Outreach:

The Gauntlet Tavern can be a quick place to find help, should Greygate be too far. If the clinic is empty of doctors, Sivrid invites anyone seeking urgent medical help to find her. Additionally, Mrs. Kensley has vowed to offer food and work to any recently cured vampires or werebeasts who are seeking to return to lawful society. Do not let desperation draw you to old habits; there is always hope for those who wish to better themselves.

Follow this thread for updates on when events will be scheduled! Impromptu events may also happen at the whim of the owners, if the server seems populated.

Our mission is to provide a center for RP wherein characters from all backgrounds, who may not often cross paths, will have a chance to interact. Events will be centered around both commoners and aristocracy alike. These events may include unscripted combat, goofy scenarios, tense altercations, lively feasts, cozy evenings, and artistic showcases.
