The next rescue attempt on Ulric Typhonus was to be undertaken by Gustavo Anahera with a large number of people. Maximillian Typhonus, Liam Typhonus, Marek Dredros, Thurinor Algarebon, Jared Silverhand and Abrog Ironmonger form Team A to sneak into the castle and break out Ulric. Graeton Pileran, Kyel Tinker, Zvonimir Tinker, Heinrich Tinker, Dimitri Vernay, Grey Draegen, Kristoph Amsel and Aron Santorski form Team B group one and Rhoghash Ironmonger, Malikar Gro-Arzuk, Roklah Ironmonger, Gorthak Ironmonger, Nilrem Ironomonger, Ook Ironmonger and Chalden the Dahss form Team B group two.

Group one and two of Team B were supposed to start their bombardment of the front gate, though cannon fire only comes from one side. Group one shoots their cannons a couple of times before they give up, as none of them are trained or otherwise versed in cannon usage. The canons of group two remain silent. Group two has meanwhile simply left, Chalden was the last one left in the group, though he decided to cut his losses and get away as well, following the Orcs who simply left.

Group one then clashed against the front gates as was ordered, despite the fact that they did not break through the front, causing them to be fired at by both arrow and magic. Zvonimir Tinker suddenly started playing music, causing further confusion among those fighting. The battle was obviously lost, Graeton Pileran received a cut on his forearm, Kyel Tinker's hair was singed off, Zvonimir Tinker got an arrow lodged in his right arm, Kristoph Amsel was hit by a falling brick on the head and fell to the floor bloodied and with a cracked skull, Dimitri Vernay was similarly hit with a rock on his shoulder and broke his collar bone and Frey Draegen was hit with an arrow in the his right upper leg. The group then attempted to limp away, allowing the Qadir to turn their attention on what was clearly to come.

Team A did not succeed in avoiding discovery when entering the castle. Somehow when they were focussed on getting in, Abrog Ironmonger just disappeared. Added by this confusion over their missing member and the increased presence of Qadir, Jared's scouting was unable to secure a Qadir free route to the prison. The group was soundly defeated in battle as the Qadir simply overwhelmed them with numbers. Gustavo Anahera was cut in the back while attempting to run and Maximillian Typhonus's arm was slashed and suffered a severe wound with profuse bleeding. The group decided there and then to run as quickly as they could.

Neither groups manage to escape without being detected on their way out, though they manage to come together at least outside the walls. Through some miracle, they manage to defeat the Qadir who went after them, eventually causing the rest to back off and letting the groups try to get away. Further attempts made by cavalry to run down the groups are unsuccessful and they reach the Valorian ship to retreat to safety, never running into the Orcs again.

The second rescue attempt is undertaken by William Coen, leading Teciv Uriomir, Alea Ash and Ichabod Duarte in as the rescue group, and Kemion Alvaris, Sebastian Ferell, Tonkim Stonebreaker and Jack Achard as distraction. As planned, the distraction group causes as much noise as possible, though only end up looking like a bunch of mage fools casting magic outside of the walls. Still, the Qadir come out to fight them and they are soundly lost, having no backup to actually being forced into a physical fight with a large number of Qadir. Tonkin Stonebreaker is shot with an arrow when trying to hurl a boulder, not only having the arrow lodged into his shoulder, but also having himself being near crushed by the boulder he tried to hurl. The others avoid injury.

The rescue group is meanwhile discovered and forced to fight, despite Alea Ash and Tevic Uriomir's attempts to sneak their way past the guards. During the fighting, Alea Ash throws one of her scimitars at a Qadir, who promptly dodges it, causing the Scimitar to tumble further trough a doorway, down a staircase and eventually smashing against a series of gunpowder crates, causing a spark as the metal hits the stone, igniting the gunpower. A giant explosion rips trough the castle, blasting apart the entire barracks and cracking open the prison. Christoper Black is taken by Ichabod Duarte on his back while Damian Teach and Trent Thorpe are each given a dagger to help in their escape. The group quickly runs back to their escape way, though when walking up a staircase are discovered by the Qadir. When the Qadir start mounting the staircase, Tevic Uriomir turns around and kicks Trent Thorpe and Damian Teach down the staircase, causing them to tumble into the Qadir and allowing the group to escape with Christopher. Trent Thorpe and Damian Teach are obviously captured again.

When outside, the two groups meet up, but are quickly ran down by the Qadir horse riders. Tevic once more turns around, throwing his blade at the distraction team, who quickly try to evade the blade as it comes towards them, jumping to the floor while the blade hits one of the horsemen behind them. The horses panic and stumble over the people now laying on the floor, causing the entire chase crew to fall over. The rescue team gets away with Christopher Black, and only Sebastian Ferell of the distraction team manages to escape the Qadir's capture.

Christopher Black's imprisonment slot has now been replaced with Damian Teach, accompanied by Trent Thorpe, Kemion Alvaris, Tonkim Stonebreaker and Jack Achard. The Qadir severely reduce the security on this prison because Christopher Black has been broken out, and move it to the prison that holds Ulric.

In Regalia meanwhile, several hours after both rescue attempts, large carts carrying the Imperial treasury are seen loading cargo onto ships and sailing due west, eventually the Kade flagship the Laridae also sails past with the Crown Prince and the Imperial family on board save a few. Several hours later, large numbers of military supplies and soldiers board ships as well sailing in westward direction with little to no message about why so much material is leaving the Imperial city, though news does come in from the Kingdom of Lusits and the Daenshore Governate that the Lusits army and the Daendroquin defence forces have been fully mobilized, and that the Orcs are also sending raiding groups to Daenshore to be shipped to Regalia for the war. It still leaves the city's inhabitants uneasy that the Crown Prince and the administration effectively left, taking with them the Imperial treasury and most of the Imperial documents and treaties. The last message to come trough from the Laridae is short and simple.

"The Arch-Chancellor has been sacked. The State Council has full control now."

Georgiana watched among the many who stood about the docks as the seemingly dozens of ships sailed off to meet the Laridae. The simple scale of it all was enough to dazzle the woman, ship upon ship carrying untold riches and tomes off to the west -- west, and away from where they belonged.

The Qadir placed their faith and zeal into the sun, Georgiana knew. She also knew the sun rose in the rose in the east and set in the west. Was that what it was? The center of life, faith, and purpose was dipping into the horizon, and the Laridae would be its guide.

How did she feel? How was she meant to feel? She was the one who placed her utmost faith and diligence in the cause of the empire only for it to retreat westward. She was the one that foolishly kept her optimism to the skies. She was the one who worked tirelessly to inspire her own faith and zeal. She was the true savior of Regalia. She knew it. She knew it.

And then she was back at the docks. She was back in the sea of confused, puzzled faces juxtapose to the all-knowing sapphire waves. Her hands were shaking, them being clenched so tightly to her cane. Tears streamed effortlessly down her stony, unmoving facade. She mumbled quietly to herself to shoo away the impending sobs. She reinforced her austere, steel-like composure while she firmly pursed her lips, working to blink away the tears. Her grandson was at home, just a short walk away.

The House di Orazio's words are "As High as the Peaks!".
How high are peaks that are flattened by the marauding infidel?

He returned to the city, indebted to his rescuers, only to enter another sea of confusion. Ships were leaving. Cargo was leaving. People were leaving. His mind raced to catch up, but couldn't. He thanked William, Teciv, Alea, Ichabod and Sebastian once again, and then sought out his own family, staff and Lidia. There were Damian, Kemion and the others to retrieve yet from the Rim Isles; but first, what was going on in Regalia?

save me film XD @Film_Noir
as Trent lies back down in his cell he reflects on the previous events, his recapture seemed necessary for the others to escape it seemed to have made the perfect distraction, he sighed and awaited his next chance at escape, taking note of the guards shifts and where they were and when

The Orcs thoughts were heavy as Nilrem gathered everyone round as Rohghash spoke of what has just occured.

"We have made our point very clear today, we are not fodder for the humies to tread on and take victory. If we are to fight, it is alongside those with Honour and Respect. Not those who send good warriors to thier early graves and lay hands on war heroes.."

Rohghash raised his drinking horn "A toast to those who may have lost their lives today and to the Typhonus still locked away. May we return and free him from the brown menace in due time".

Nilrem tossed various rocks and pebbles about the ground before turning to Rohghash

"Winds be changing, rock and runes mutter of dark times ahead"

"Then perhaps be time we bring more Kin to our home..."

A volley of grunts and cheers roared through the group as they drank and then began to gather thier supplies and head off to commandeer a ship to return home and await the outcome of the battle.

William sat at the bridge of the ship, looking out across the water as they approached Regalia, a content smirk upon his lips though feeling light melancholy to the fact that the other two captives could not be saved not to mention the capture of most of the distraction team. No matter, they all knew the consequences of their rescue attempt and it was done for the good of the empire. "Your Lidia is awaiting you, Christopher" he would mutter as he turned to the rest of his ensemble and the Black, a grin apparent upon his lips at their success.

Alea stood there upon the ship, glancing off into the distance as she crossed her arms, her armor clinking with her movements as she let out a soft sigh. They had finally gotten that out of the way. She'd look around, her eyes setting upon Christopher and the rest as she gave a simple nod. "That was close." she muttered, before giving a shrug as she continued to glance out into the distance, as the thought of them leaving behind the others didn't even pop up in her head, as she didn't even know who she left behind. She'd recall back on what William had said previously, as she began to think on it. Did she truely only care about herself?

She turned around, as she began to approach William, the elf took a small scratch at the back of her neck, relieved as she had cut her hair once again before they took off for the mission, she stood there staring at him, simply being some elven woman in armor with short, choppy hair. She paused for a moment before speaking. "So, do you actually believe in me yet?" she'd say, her arms hanging by her sides as she stood in a relaxed motion, her head tilting to the side slightly.

Kemion sits in his cell with his cellmates, unable to look any of them in the face. After recovering from embarrassment, he turns to the mages that he brought along. " Tonkim, Jack, I'm so sorry I dragged you into this, it's all my fault." He sinks into a corner of the cell, in both guilt and defeat.

Before promptly rolling a 1.

I really hope you get the joke

Damian bitterly walked around the cell, cursing at any Qadirs that passed. The blasted Elf had thrown him down the stairs as they ran off. He scratched the back oh his neck as he turned towards his new cellmates. Trent was still here, to no surprise. His fellow guard Keimon had been apologizing to the other prisoners. Damian had no idea who these two were, and simply didn't care. Black had escaped at least, but he still had two broken legs. He couldn't lead a rescue to after them, and if he didn't who will. Most of his other comrades where already locked up in other Qadir camps. Sighing, Damian trudged back to his original corner, closing his eyes as he attempted to fall asleep.

so what's the list of captured people

and I may or may not be expecting a qadir raid in regalia

Regalia is lost, those in charge has took their gold and will flee south, past Daendroc and to the land unknown. Their cowardice is only matched by their greed.

Well then. Us, the poor folk left behind are the ones who shall perish under what is yet to come...

I predict that the near future is of ill nature.

As the Valorian ship of the line, De Eendracht, reached the border of the Regalian Harbour, she dropped her anchor, smaller vessels came near, to pick up the people she returned to Regalia.

On the shore. awaiting the arrival of the smaller vessel, were Victoria, Sophia and Darius. Sophia squeezed Darius her arm, hoping for the return of Gustavo and Ulric.
When there was no sign of Ulric on the ship, Sophia looked towards Victoria.

'The royalty left Sophia, let's follow their example.'
Victoria mumbled softly.

Sophia nodded in agreement, as they told the boat to return to the ship and get some more deckhands, to help move all of the furniture towards the harbour.

~-~

As the deckhands entered the house in Regalia, They started to break down the fake wall, which
blocked of the secret area, filled with all the valuables, which once were laying around in the house.

Some open carriages were arranges to move heavier furniture as these were to heavy to lift. The place was stripped clean. Only the walls and floors were left untouched. A small box, which was carried by one of the deckhands, was escorted by the captain of De Eendracht and Sophia, making sure it wouldn't leave their sight.

As one of the most prominent and majestic houses on the Main street was stripped clean, it was a sign that things started to go the wrong way.

~-~

At the harbour, she last dresser was to be lifted on board, one of the rope's broke and it landed on the side of the ship. taking away part of the railing as it eventually landed into the water.
At this, Darius started to shout, but was quickly calmed down by Sophia, who didn't seem to be bother about it that much, which was out of the ordinary.

As the belongings were placed on board, Victoria, Darius and Sophia boarded De Eendracht, it started to sail towards Fendarfell, hoping to escape the Qadir Attack there. Towards one of the Barony's town's outside of the Empire.

Dr. Fong yells for his workers to pack the emerald hot tubs more quickly, as he stuffs bonds, deeds and important papers into his bag. Grabbing Lady Bethany by the hand, Dr. Fong looks into her eyes and says, "It's happened. Get your things. A ship waits in the harbor."

Lady Bethany puts up some fuss about leaving the city she has grown to love, but Dr. Fong says, "The Imperial Family has fled the city! We sure as hell aren't sticking around to find out what that means!"

Aboard their ship "The Vitalis", Dr. Fong and Lady Bethany watch as Regalia grows smaller and smaller in the distance. Lady Bethany softly sobs. Will this be the last time they see their beloved city?

Our reaction was something like this.

((The events above take place later tonight. Anyone else in the family is free to come with us aboard the Vitalis. Others may ask to flee with us, in character this afternoon and evening. After tonight, you won't see Dr. Fong or Lady Bethany again until this matter is resolved. Though, look for Prof. Fang and his wife Marilyn Fang and their bizarro antics right up until the bitter end.

Oh, we also built an escape route in the basement of our mansion to lead the residents of the Poor District safely out of the city. So, you're welcome!

Dimitri sat on one of the empty crates, bringing his right leg up close to his chest to support
his left arm now in a sling seeing as he couldn't move it without pain. The burning sensation
was starting to flood down to his hand from the centre of his collar bone where the break was
as he hastily wrote a letter to his mother, informing her the family would be returning to their
home in Ressau as soon as possible.

In any other moment, the crashing of waves against the side of the boat would be the ultimate
comfort for him, yet with each impact panic set in his mind.

"What happens now.." He thought over and over, the echoed pain from his shoulder making it
even more unsettling. It only worsened when the seemingly empty docks of Regalia appeared
on the horizon. A sinking feeling set in his stomach, he knew he needed to get his family out.
Now, before the casualties increased from his shoulder to lives.

Peter sighs, looking out the window of his apartment as the contents of the Fong Estate are slowly loaded onto ships.
He briefly thought about leaving the city as well, before deciding against it. It was best for him to stay here, in the city with the people he knew.

Slowly he begins to pack up a few small valuables, in case he needed to make a hasty escape.

((A note is pinned meticulously on every door in the Poor District))

Dear Beloved Citizens of the Poor District,

You didn't think your favorite doctor had forgotten about you, did you? Now listen closely, you have been provided for in case of emergency. If the time comes, and you wish to flee the city, follow the signs in the Poor District. Small boats and emergency McClownalds rations have been provided and should allow you to get to the safety of the wilderness. There you should await extraction on the northern shore of the island.

Goodnight and Good Luck,
