Chapter I: Ancient History
The Estelluanar family can trace it's lineage, like so many altalar aristocrats, far back into the years of grandeur of the Elven Empire. Though unlike many Estelluanar's claim of Imperial heritage comes from far before the late Emperor Médûí. It's members proudly trace their claim to fame back to the great Emperor Céar-néallë'ná, the namesake of the ancient homeland of the Ailor, Ceardia.
Well… They trace it back to one of his bastard sons. Céar-néallë'ná was rumoured to once have had a fling with his chief diplomatic advisor's wife, and but a meagre ten months later young Céar-néölè'nê was officially recognised as the bastard of the Emperor. In anger, or so the story goes, his advisor argued that he ought to go to war with their Varran neighbours, thinking the emperor would certainly perish in the inevitable failure of a campaign or simply die of a heat stroke. As we all know now, however, Emperor Céar-néallë'ná proved more than capable and completely obliterated the Varran states, as any history book may tell you. With the exception of Varran history books, of course, should you ever find one. Naturally his diplomatic advisor gained great praise, and was allowed the honour of raising the bastard child, much to his delight. Or so the Estelluanars would have you believe, for greatness surely ran in the Emperor's, his bastard's, and subsequently their veins.
Though as if the heritage claim to a bastard son of a long dead Emperor isn't enough. The claim does not in fact involve this bastard's first son, better said not even his second son. The Estelluanar family proudly traces their lineage back to the third son of a bastard.
How peculiar, might you think. Well if this is such a point of pride, certainly he did great deeds did he not? Yes, and no. His father's favour with the Emperor made it possible for him to set up shop in the "acquiring of goods" for internal trade, at which he was very adept, acquiring mass amounts of wealth in the process. Trade, however as they may call it, mostly consisted of the slavery of varying races. It is estimated that near half the slaves of the Elven Empire at one point in time were the descendants of those brought back by the Estelluanars' greatly praised ancestor. However as debauched as Emperor Céar-néallë'ná may have been, as decadent as his descendants may be, none would match the sheer lustful nature of Céar-né'êállë, third son of Céar-néölè'nê, bastard to the Emperor.
To this day the Estelluanar family, along with a handful of other sympathizers here and there, claim that it was due to unfair and uncooperative trade officials that he and all his family were virtually banished to a small region on which later the city named Is'läe Il was founded. The historical documents signifying subsequent introduction of stricter laws concerning the rights of offspring of property do sway a lot of people to disagree on that point however.
Chapter II: Interlude
Following these two interesting persona there's around 26 generations of people of varying amounts of significance, and mostly insignificance. The number twenty-six is of course an average, as the debauchery of aristocracy, and certainly Altalar aristocracy, does not consider familial ties to be a boundary that ought to be left uncrossed. "To keep the blood pure" as they say it. Funnily enough there are also several noted instances of marriages and bastard children with Isldar, Cielothar, and even the odd other nelfin.
In more recent years however, the Estelluanar family, along with several other aristocrats have taken a control of dubious legality over the area that was once the home of the banished Céar-né'êállë. Indeed it and the surrounding island seemed to flourish in their rule, and whilst money poured into the Estelluanar family's coffers, so did boredom seep in.
Chapter III: Recent History
In recent years the Estelluanar family has managed to live quite carelessly, and although the earthly pleasures have filled much of that existential void, the average lifespan of 190 years leaves much to be desired. Hence, like a good aristocratic family, they turned to education, paid for by the wealth of olden days, multiplying itself eagerly as it was split amongst the multitude of Estelluanar owned or affiliated businesses and offices.
The most recent history starts with Êv'guàlô Estéallu'gúnaï who unakin to the tales that came before only had a single child with his wife. This was however not for lack of trying. It was oft jokingly whispered during family dinners that the slave breeder with all his experience had still not figured out that two males can not make a male child. As such his family had rather given up hope and married him off for political gains, where his wife after much convincing, as she made clear during her many drunk rants, did in fact convince him to attempt conceiving an heir with her.
To the great enjoyment of his wife, the great disappointment of himself and the mixed emotions felt by the male slaves that he kept as his close staff, he tried several times and did in fact finally succeed in putting a baby boy in his wife, Nö'qàllëá Estéallu'gúnaï, who afterwards promptly broke all ties other than the marital ties with her husband, which neither party did quite mind.
If you're at a slave auction, at times you might still hear the whispers of how the most enduring male slaves were sold by this Êv'guàlô Estéallu'gúnaï, while his female slaves were often so rowdy you might call them untrained. At times with wonder, and at times in jest.

Family Traits
The Estelluanar family is an Alta-Altalar family whose origins and power mostly trace back to the recently conquered elven city of Is'läe Il. The family is a common example of debauched overly privileged Altalar aristocracy. Their family trades are farflung and oft unrecalled, as the family till this very day mostly survives on nepotism, old wealth and reputation.
This generates an enormous potential for greatness, and with the lifespan of an Altalar left so very unencumbered by the responsibilities common men face, it opens up the ability for extremely learned, skilled or well-traveled individuals.
Development of extra-ordinary skill in such fields is widely encouraged by the family and the liberal and well-funded nature of the upbringing of it's members with only the honing of skills to the extreme without regard of the skill performed truly reflects the family words: "Ever Above".
Physically the family is pureblood Altalar. Although marrying other related species of nelfin, such as Cielothar or Saivalthar is not completely unheard of, it happens so little that the traces of such interracial relationships are virtually invisible.
The general rule dictates that family members have a pale to tanned complexion, depending on their working enviroment. Hair colours vary ver little, with most members retaining a dirty blonde colour of hair, although some family members have been known to dye their hair in differing colours. Lastly the eyes are generally a blue or green hue of differing intensity.

- Your character remains loyal to family lore and the server lore in its entirety.
- That your character acts in a matter befitting an aristocrat in exile.
- Members should strive to find their niche in the family, slight overlap is allowed though aim should be to not intervene within eachothers rp-niches all too much, unless asked to be involved.
