Piles of papers could once again be found all around highly frequented areas in the city. There was no one handing out the papers. They just sat there.

Hello dear readers, it was so nice to see so many reading and enjoying the paper. I had hoped for a light-hearted issue this time around, about some nearby businesses I enjoy, but alas, major and sometimes tragic news needs to be reported on and there is certainly plenty of that.

A Supreme Reverend's Dying Gift: The Tenth Creed of Unionism Recovered

Yes, we begin with a story both tragic and exciting. The former Supreme Reverend, His Holiness Piète-a-piète Kade, was killed recently, during an attempt to return to the City of Light with the Tenth Creed, which has always been rumored to exist, but has never been officially confirmed to be real, until now. I will speak little of this event and the impacts it will have, dear reader, for I know I would not do the concept justice. If you have any questions, please, seek out your local Reverend who will be happy to explain this new Creed to you. To oversimplify, however, it would appear that the Synod, at least in its current, centralized state, was never meant to exist. In the coming days, new sects of churches will appear and it is up to you, dear reader, to decide which sect is best for you. I, myself am not sure yet either.

Previous Ithanian Sovereign Executed, State Recognizes King Florent

Up until now, there appears to have been a dispute between whether the true monarch of Ithania was King Florent, or whether power should have been returned to the previous Sovereign. The Lord Chancellor officially acknowledged King Florent, who my Ithanian friend tells me put the previous Ithanian Sovereign under house arrest, as the true ruler of Ithania. The King Florent then found the previous Sovereign guilty of plotting against him and had her executed. Many Ithanians have not taken this news well (including my Ithanian friend), with some going as far as to blame the Lord Chancellor personally for the death of the previous Sovereign, assuming that the charges were false.

The Citizens' Edit do not support the claim of this execution being a direct result of the Lord Chancellor's decision to recognize King Florent over the previous Ithanian Sovereign.

An Archipelago in Rebellion: Anahera At it Again

News from the South: The Anahera family have declared an open rebellion against the government in response to a declaration of war on House Anahera by House Lampero. They claim that the House Lampero was given a go-ahead by the Lord Chancellor to invade them and other lands. The validity of this statement has not been confirmed by the Citizens' Edit. It should be noted, for those new to the Archipelago, that a member of House Anahera once gained the Chancellorship and attempted to kill the Emperor, so their rebellion against the Lord Chancellor may be their way of attempting to reclaim the title for their house once more. Several of the Etosian City-States also have declared a rebellion, fearing that House Lampero will also declare war on them in the near future and blame the Lord Chancellor's actions for House Lampero's boldness.

Oh, and the North is rebelling again.

Hopefully next issue can be what the staff envision for this paper, a nice little newspaper containing stories about local businesses, their owners, and the stories of individuals in our fair city. Until then, dear reader, stay safe out there. The world might be changing, but Regalia will still stand strong.
