CURAE I - Living Herons
Supernal, celestial fatherland, the city of Regalia whose own participation is in itself, so rejoices in the salvation of all the elect, that the more outstanding are the merits of these, the more copious does it also receive the rewards. The unity of the Empire in Union is the core principle whereupon it arose under the enlightenment of the Imperial Spirit. By this example so should the faith of the church be one. It is by the precept of the Synod that we observe: "Let all speak the same thing, and let there be no schism among us." This could not have been observed in the past until the Patriarch of Etosil and the High Reverend have found common ground within the wisdom in his Imperial Holiness, who presides over our flock as the vessel of the Spirit, whose sentence must consequently be accepted without wavering, and hence to the sole authority of the Emperor does it pertain to beatify and decide over the true virtuous who can be accepted as Herons in life by both churches as universal faith.

It is unbeseeming for anyone to approach this most delicate matter of sacred doctrine, unless he approached faithfully; assuredly, the collective holiness of the Synod. It is only with the wisdom of his Imperial Holiness and our faith in the Spirit that the Sancella finds the stance of his Exalted Patriarch of Etosil reasonable, and thus invite the Patriarchate to amend the schism between our churches.

CURAE II - Apostolica appointments
In the premature absence of Reverend Gewitterman, and the leave of Reverend von Hohenstadt, we turn to the pillars of our Sancella, and appoint Many are those who spread and defend the true faith. Thus we replace the Holy Ministry of the orders unto Reverend Lansing, may he bring prosperity and better recognition to the orders as his predecessor. And we thusly elect Reverend Aherne as liaison to the Imperial Guard, may he hear the confessions of the protectors of His Imperial Holiness, and assist them to the best of his ability. Spirit willing.

CURAE III - Recovery of Theomar's Gauntlet
Wherefore, there is no room left for doubt, that all the faithful of Union may, according to the custom ever received in the Sancella church, render in veneration the worship of Saint-Emperor Theomar the first, which is due to the Spirit, to this most holy recovery.

The missing holy gauntlet of the Saint-Emperor has been very piously retrieved to the church, this sublime and venerable artifact be, with special veneration and solemnity celebrated Whereby the victory and triumph over cultists are represented. And so indeed did it behoove victorious truth to celebrate a triumph over heresy and assault, that thus the adversaries of his Imperial Holiness at the sight of the Empire's splendor may either pine away weakened and broken with shame and confounded, at length repent.

CURAE IV - Writ of blessing
It is by this act of fulfillment of a holy quest, by heroism of sacrifice of the stalwart Count Edmond du Pont, in which he and those brave souls beneath him ventured within a sanctuary of squalor and decay, did restore from therein an icon of pious reverence. A man of humble standings, his dedications unto that melee at Sacred Helena didst mark a dutiful countenance, with retrieval of His Imperial Holiness' youngling the fruits of such unrequited diligence. So too did this wayward knight of the esteemed peerage undertake his holy sacrament, dedicating both body and spirit unto dispelling the aberrations of voidal generation. By zealous fervor and righteous intent did he and his host fell an Arken of vile design, suffering not worry for their mortal coils in such tumultuous trials. By these acts the Synod of Regalia has made complete consecration of Edmond du Pont and issued a writ of blessing upon his name, Spirit Willing.

In Short:
  • Living Herons have been deemed acceptable by the Synod. Future living herons are canon if appointed by the Emperor and thus recognized by the Sancella.
  • Reverend Lansing is now minister of the supporting orders.
  • Reverend Aherne is now the Sancella liaison to the Imperial Guard.
  • Saint-Emperor Theomar's gauntlet has been returned to the church by Edmond du Pont, and he has been issued a writ of blessing.

"First it's the sixth creed broken and turned upside down. Curates in the holy see, straight against the creed."

Audrey read the parchment in confusion within the confines of her office.

"Then the eighth creed ignored to bend the knee to a two-centuries-old sect of heretics. What ... what will the conservatives think?

She exhaled, reading on.

"And the faith appointed a heron of mages earlier than a heron of soldiers, mothers or teachers. A model of virtue, a man who as a reverend of the holy see went against the 9th creed and retained it his secret until the very end, going as far as to lie and deceive up until revealed by force."

She let the parchment fall to the ground in a mix of both disappointment and sadness.

"The Sancella appointed one. Not the faith."

Hengest has a zealous and perhaps (oh lets not kid ourselves) drunken celebration for the great news. Loud feasting and anglian folk tunes can be heard throughout the night by those who would pass the Balfort estate.

Vulmar Ravenstad smirks mirthfully at the return of the gauntlet, he celebrates platonically with Hengest, a slab of butter onside.
