News quickly bulleted onto the announcement boards of Regalia due to a rush publication, notable to anyone not presently in Gloomrot (as Gloomrot does not receive news bulletins that quickly). News of the event in the far West was surprisingly quick to filter into Regalia, largely as a consequence of Black Hand scrying Mages in service of the Regalian Empire, who were spying on the Allorn Empire from within Kezzeret Artamon, an Eronidas state ostensibly allied or friendly with Regalia. The scryers quickly reported the events up the chain of command through resonant crystal long-range communication, and the state agents who disseminated the information decided that it was pertinent for Regalians to know what had happened in the west, in case they had family there. A borderland region between Kezzeret Artamon, the Allorn Empire, and Kezzeret Kashubasha was hit by a mass destruction event, which defies any other kind of classification. The point of origin, or cause, was extremely unclear, but the scryers were able to designate the point of origin in a massive Allorn city that was wiped off the face of Aloria in a near instant. The resulting wall of fire and destruction expanded outwards for hundreds of miles and consumed whole provinces of the Allorn Empire before crossing the boundary and expanding into Artamon and Kazubasha. While assessments on the casualties on the Allorn Empire are very difficult to ascertain because Regalians only had crude spy equipment and Magic to work with, it was speculated to be 100,000,000+ (the landmass hit was the equivalent of real-life western Europe). The casualty reports on the Eronidas side were likely somewhat clearer, with at least 14 large Pol's wiped out between Kazubasha and Artamon, likely in the range of 200,000+ Eronidas killed. Simultaneously, several Ithanian cities were hit by what some would describe as "metal tubes with fire from the rear", causing massive damage and explosions, and several thousands of casualties. The damage was considerably less than what had hit the Eronidas and Elves, but still caused great alarm, and a near immediate saber-rattling between Ithanian diplomats, and the Allorn Empire, as these projectiles supposedly flew over the southern desert, into a northward direction, leaving behind them smoke trails as they went. The government has issued a negative travel advice for the Kezzeret States, and scrambled all possible scryers to figure out what the hell happened. The Allorn Empire seemed equally shellshocked, while the initial intention would have been to accuse the Ailor and declare immediate war, it seemed the Allorn ambassadors and communicators were all under the impression that Even barbaric Ailor would not be so crude as to exterminate that many Eronidas in the same vein, while also blowing up parts of Ithanian cities in the process. More news, to come? Everyone continued to scratch their heads in trying to understand what happened, but nobody seemed to be capable of coming up with a conclusion, nor did there seem to be any touch of Magic involved, which made tracing it extremely difficult.
