Social Perception ~

  • Typically, Sophie is viewed as a bigoted sewer rat with little to no interested in getting involved with the conflicts of others. Since having been brought back from the dead, the women's social standing has made an exceptional shift for the better and worst as she tends to step back and allow things to happen even if her friends are in peril danger. Physically, her features present a menacing aesthetic, her body is laced with rather horrific deformed scars, bringing a almost novelty horror to her general appearance. Because of these deformities many have a difficult time maintaining extended conversations or periods of direct eye contact, either out of pure disgust or a sort of second hand remorse for the obvious moral shortcomings that brought her to that state. Verbally, to make a mockery or not, Sophie is straight forwards with her running commentary, even if it's seen as disrespectful or kind. Furthermore, she won't hesitate to let slip a sarcastic or undermining spat to taunt the victim into spitting back, just to add insult to injury if she deems it safe to do so.
Personal Perception ~

  • Loathsome of herself; Sophie wishes to make others feel the same way in an attempt to surpass her own shame. Prior to her death, Sophie wished to become a high-street tailor alike her mother, despite the criminal intent behind most of her work, that was her purest dream. Yet, due to said criminal background and recent death, she finds herself uncomfortably lost, frightened and yet strong as an individual that has said strength to overcome her fears and obtain her desires… When she knows what those are. Aside from that, Sophie ends up seeing herself as a figure within society that should be respected for beneficial reasons, attempting to keep her position within the grand scheme of things, neutral.
Familial Perception ~

  • Much like Social Perception, due to how Sophie holds her friendships, she is usually seen as a sarcastic and half-hearted individual when you first get to know her. Yet, peculiarly Sophie acts amicable around her friends, family or anyone willing to lower their blade. Despite not trying to hold anyone close to heart, she isn't one to make an alliance nor an enemy either. Her situation cannot call for it as she isn't capable after her death, thus prefers to stay neutral with willing crowds. This being said, it isn't out of the norm for Sophie to treats everyone with a side of salt, but when it comes to family, she isn't afraid to stick out a leg for her own flesh and blood. No matter what dumb shit they've got themselves involved with.
Moral Perception ~

  • Sophie's frequently observed as a terrible individual, as her morality altered from a young age. She might resemble an obscenely corrupt individual occasionally, yet ordinarily she just wants the best for any and all individuals as there are larger issues to feel threatened by as a community. This could purely be down to how Sophie has been on and off the Sanguine curse as her liking for familiar faces is apparent beneath the surface of torment. She's misjudged as her presentation and perception covers up the meaning behind her hatred. But on the normal, she wishes for those that don't have a lot, to feel just as comfortable as those with everything.

Birth and Childhood ~
  • Birth
    • Born and raised in Ithania, 10th December 268, Sophie Perrot was the child of Isabelle Cerise Perrot, a cherished redhead filled with talent, Dale Perrot, a man undercover, and the sister of Sloan Perrot a brute in leather. She learnt most of her mother's tongue from a young age before dabbling into common.
  • Mothers Tailoring
    • Her and her mother moved to Regalia when she was the age of 8, opening a Tailors to support their family. Sophie learnt common from regulars, as her mother couldn't herself. This meant that, despite being only a child, Sophie was her very own personal translator during the next six years. The pair ran a standard business, teaching those who wished to follow in their line of work, as well as learning from the locals, until their time was cut short. Payment of rent was delayed by a couple of weeks, and therefore staff weren't paid for another. Soon enough, her mother was incapable of keeping the shop open.
Adolescence and Adulthood ~
  • Kindred de Nocturne
    • Now, stranded to the street, Sophie had turned 14. She stole simple things from the market to make do for the pair, leaching off those who had worked alongside them previously, as well as regulars that pitied their scenario. However, they remained until the Kindred de Nocturne plucked her and her mother from their trauma. Rather blind to the consequences, she agreed to their terms, and her mother did not, casting away the group to work under a noble Family, the Bloucheurs.
    • Alora sent Soph off to the Linvail Keep in Dragenthal to train for the next 10 years, birthing Jordanne Perrot (aged 17) in the process, before introducing her to the rest of the 'Kindred de Nocturne' at the age of 24. At this stage, Sophie developed her Soul guard, practicing in secret when she could. At which she realised it was more of a coven than a mercenary group. However, she was persuaded by Alora that it was no different. At this stage, she saw Alora to be more of a mother, than her own due to the influences and guidance she gifted so willingly and the ignorance her blood mother had contributed.
  • End of Tongue Taker Reign, Off with his Dead
    • A few years in, the coven was discovered by the Regalia Guard, having chased them out of their home above, and into their new bellow. Unfortunately, a few of the members were caught, having been sent to Greygate and slaughtered for their involvement with the Sanguine curse and multiple murders. This included Alora, a few other familiar faces. After Alora's death, Sophie resulted to learning more from her coven, becoming the generic combat oriented Sanguine, along with what she had learnt at the Linvail Keep; School of Darkmark.
    • This started Sophie's 'collection' as she aimed to distract herself with some sort of goal. Soon after, Whillem was discovered and sent to court. This being, he was beheaded for having the vampiric curse, and left the coven to Soph and her kin, effectively splitting the coven, causing those to fight amongst themselves until Soph was one of the three remaining.
  • Disruption of the Sewers People
    • Parrot, Sophie's newfound alias due to a few mocked the spelling of her surname. After lurking around singularly, her body had suffered enough as her title only brought her carnage, surprisingly. Men and woman placed their bounties, and so forth her flesh was torn. An example of such would be the time a group of sewer folk took advantage of her situation as she drank with a friendly face. With a short lived battle, they were knocked unconscious. A kleinfolk <,now a rat> was let loose upon her arm, gnawing and biting at her shoulder, whilst another proceeded to send blows to her limp body. She learnt to be cautious in public, even when relaxing. This being, her infamous name became an issue and forcefully sent her into hiding. Within these years, she dyed her ginger locks to a blackish brown. During this time, she was cured, making it easier to work within the conditions of a clinic. This lasted for a while until the 'Kindered de Nocturne' slowly became no more to the common tongue.
  • From Covens, to Gangs
    • Some few had managed to see through her mask, but her change in personality displayed flaunted a whole new soul. She became angered, rather than the bubbly and sarcastic heart she used to be. Twisted, falling to infection as an old face appeared within the sewers tavern, Sophie joined a couple gangs, working solely on bounties they had placed within said organization, before moving onto the next. By participating and joining gangs, she managed to keep herself informed about the progression of the sewers. From the Van Hels and their torture, to the Jin-Tao organisation.
  • From Gangs, to Drinking
    • All well said and done, Soph found most of her personal life astray. She had the occasional friends, yet most of her associates were paying ones. She'd reduce herself to drinking in the Mossy Poss, talking to Don about new bumps and bruises she had gathered and lovers she had moved on from.
  • From Drinking, to Learning
    • Until one fortunate day, she was introduced to a new face. Sophie was incapable of reading until Saud Nazari taught over the course of a few months, helping remove some of the effects of blood toiling curses, as well as looking after during said process, regaining her sanity. Unfortunately, during this time, Sophie was cured to aid her stability.
  • Arcane Office
    • From there onward, now 28, Sophie became apart of the Arcane Office before it's collapse due to new enforced rules. Even though it's time was short, Sophie's mental state found peace due to the separation from crime and covens. During her stay, she continued her research into her own arcane abilities. Improving in the manipulation of her body as well as learning more from her soul itself. Improving and containing what could have led to a feral state of being, she learnt to harness what was left of the sanguine curse within her, as well as the countless blood mutations she had gained along the way, to create something new. However, the change sent her back into old habits, her life coming full circle once again.
  • The Devout Few
    • Sophie then became apart of a gang, The Devout Few. Ranking officer within the group as they pillaged through the Slums, yet keeping her arcane abilities under the rug. The group spent their days kidnapping nobles and holding them ransom until release, alongside other enemies and folk with wealth.
  • Eih'Pos, and the Death of Saud Nazari
    • Yet unfortunately, during her return to crime, Saud Nazari was infested by an Arken and blown off his feet in the streets of Regalia. Friends and family alike rose to the occasion, planting memories where best fit and flowers in remembrance. Even a grave was installed in the Old Town, thanks to Mae and the remains of those who loved him, yet she did not attend his funeral. Sophie, at this point, was half way through learning how to control her thirst for flesh and blood as her frustration had caught up. She learnt she had to feed no matter, thus isolating herself from the event to focus on doing so. This is where she named her soul Eih'Pos, an essence represented as a venomous snake, yet part soft and fragile ferret.
  • Die, The Burning
    • The Devout Few lasted a decent amount of time before crumbling to to the departing of their leader, Horatio. After leaving his members behind, Sophie took it into her own hand to raise to attention the end of their chaos to calm the common folk. She did so by burning their base to the ground.
    • However, due to her involvement, not only city folk were interested in what the extent to her knowledge was, as a group named the Circle had hired thugs to take Sophie in for questioning. She spoke of the same thing, the truth that the Devout had fallen, yet they found her words hard to believe. She spent a few nights, having her legs maimed, her ear burnt, dice shoved into her arm? and her nails ripped from their beds before having her legs healed; thrown back onto the streets.
  • Bastion's Punishment
    • Caused by an unfortunate crossing of paths, she was taken to the Bastion for the punishment of her crimes only minutes after, hiding them under the truth for so long. She was punished for the torture of Alistair Decreses, during her time within the Arcane Office, as well as her crimes within the works of the Devout Few. Her index and thumb were removed from her dominant hand, her right.
  • Another Fresh Start
    • Having nothing left, she kept herself to stitching clothes and causing drunkard trouble in the tavern, seeing her father figure had exploded due to an Arken mishap; having no job, she fell to a few friends for assistance during her depressive state. She had tea with an Eggplant, to tears with a Kathar and mentorship with a fellow Qadir, Khalid, now being 32. From here onward she has kept her knowledge of magic a secret, quietly obtaining the components needed to keep her thirst quiet. This lead to Sophie keeping her hands busy at Jared's Smithy, the Emperor's Ember, and assisting Erwald Ravenstad when requiring information from the slums. After the removal of her fingers, she quietened down due to the public finding out about her arrest. Yet foolish to believe that would've lasted any longer than a couple of months as Sloan arrived back in Regalia.
  • Creation of Dead Men
    • Once returning, Sloan had convinced Sophie to aid him in the creation of the Dead Men. His son, Juneya, followed happily in tow as the pair gathered members left right and center. Butchy, a beloved orc, Nace, Maili, Kleo, Taliandra, Emerthas and many others, ended up thieving what they could find rack up the coin the gang could muster. However, due to Sophie's previous dabbles in gang affiliation, she kept herself to the side and purely observed to ensure the band of halfwits didn't plan anything ludicrous, as she dabbled in her own plans.
  • The Dark Lady Emporium
    • During this time, Sophie assisted Bronwyn Cuffburt with and in her forge, The Click 'n' Clank, Ul'Rog and his Restaurant, Butchy's, Yun and their trinket shop, The Smiling Fox, and those who worked at the Falcon's Nest, aiding their team when she could. This is also when the Rooks was created, another gang within the collection. Thankfully, Moji was overly fond with Sloan, which allowed the two ends to work alongside each other with relative ease. However, unfortunately the remains of the Devout Few had returned and weren't overly pleased with the burning. The group had become infected and dragged most of the old members into old habits. Sophie however, stayed out of it.
  • Arken Appearances
    • As things began to settle in within the community, the appearance of Arken began to pop up on the regular. A few months prior, Vines contorted the old Dark Lady Emporium, causing the tunnels below to crumble, forcing those who once belonged, into the new Emporium stated above. A musicians talent tormented those who heard their work, causing those who followed her song, to drown within the Cities park. Gradually, the community began to pick sides. Working alongside some of the Arken, people fell into their places and settled within the split of power. The last Sophie recalls of Arken appearances, is giddily dancing hand in hand with the trickster, Reynaert de Vos.
  • Work under Agatha Harhold
    • At this time, due to her work in The Dark Lady Emporium, Sophie became a more recognizable figure within the Old Town. Due to her middle-man work between the city and the slums, she came in contact with Agatha Harhold. Their friendship brightly blossomed as the pair exchanged their love for fashion and drama. Through this relationship, Sophie became a Harhold House guard, a honorary crate mover in the Hands of gold Salon and Spa, as well as the representative of the Old Town through a majority vote, becoming the Herald of the Slums.
Forgotten Memories ~
  • Creation of The Rat Court
    • In due time, the Rat Court was officially assembled with the Old Town. This ensured that those involved in gangs and other affiliated businesses, could understand where everyone was stood, as well as ensure the Old Town could possibly, if need be, keep itself on its feet. At this point in time, the appearance of sanguine became greater, as those outside the city, ventured in. The Rat Court however, found their means to maintain the curse.
  • Movement
    • The next thing she knew, she was tied up within their Hellion mess. Tullion, Mae, Shiori, Albus and Claude slowly followed in their footsteps. One by one they became a pack, terrorising the lives of those who lived within the Old Town, and worry those beyond. Their presence became threat, yet they found joy in their union as time brought them together as a family, until the day Sophie died.
  • Death, aged 36
    • 3rd of June, 274. Sophie Perrot was beheaded by Ania Howlester on the bridge between the Old Town and the rest of the city for turning into a marken in order to catch a thief, she was shackled before deemed dead for demonic possession. Those who surrounded sent blade after blade into her body, some she managed to resist, others not so much. Her body slid down the bridge as it was drawn before the woman stepped forth to ridden her head from her body.

  • Jack-In-The-Box
    • 'Until one afternoon, Tullion Kearney stumbled upon a box down below the city. Out of curiosity, he pulled the mechanism and turned it a few times, before wheels inside started whirring. At first nothing happened, but then the lid of the box flew open with such force that he was started and dropped the box. Out came the jack-in-the-box, but it did not appear like some strange clownesque figure, but rather, was like a ferret with a snake's head and a rat tail. Attached to it had a small piece of paper upon which was written: "A gift to Sloan". Dumbfounded, he continued to inspect the box while the figurine danced up and down on the spring, making some silly creaking noise until the box just abruptly froze. He took a few steps back out of precaution, until suddenly, a small flickering light ascended from the box, while the box itself poofed into smoke. The smoke swirled and swirled, until it eventually started giving shape and form to a person. More and more the features became visible, and before long, a face once presumed very dead gazed upon the living again, an old familiar of Tullion.' - Link

Present day ~
  • Life
    • Returned to safety, Sophie had risen. Alive, confused and disgruntled she found herself standing alone in Tullion's abode. Upon the hour, he returned, Mae Draylas in tow. At first confused, she found it difficult to understand why she was crying, yet slowly she caught on. The pair explained what had happened and how two years had passed since her death over a cup of tea before departing quickly for the slums, returning Sophie to what was considered safe for such a person. Reunited with friends, Soph not only struggled to believe what she was being told, but struggled to remember who she was talking to. The memory of Agatha Harhold and a few other associates were destroyed in her rebirth. Understanding her situation, she decided to fall into the shadows. It wasn't safe for her anymore, incapable of slipping her crimes through the cracks as her existence was heresy.
  • The Wailing Wraith
    • Sophie now can be found linger in the sewers, the only safe haven for corruption. Having bumbled around for many a month, she found herself no longer interested in joining any gang, organisation or coven as drawing attention to herself would only lead to certain death, yet often communicated with them as much as possible to fortify her existence if need be. Now, she runs the Wailing Wraith, the main cistern within the sewers that acts as a neutral zone for those bellow. It is hidden. It is safe. It is existence.

Personality and Abilities
  • Could you elaborate on your first paragraph? Yes, she is frightening, but in what specific ways through appearance and speech? Is it in the delivery of speech? The things she says? Are there any other traits that others see in her besides frightening as she will be taken as it instantly due to her bloodline. Just some more expansion on the personality people would see.
  • For your second paragraph, I would assume that she is loathsome of herself? Just some specification on that point as I can't say for certain.
Life Story
  • Her body became a subject of her torment as it became abused by her title. Men and woman placed their bounties, and so forth her flesh was torn.
I need specifics on this as my mind is wandering through what it means.

Make the above changes and tag me once completed @Patsie

Edits were made in Red. @Wumpatron

However, I found the request rather difficult to wrap my head around. I tried my best, but if I did it wrong, please do elaborate.

  • Please list languages under your skill information.
  • Darkmark can only be learned at Linvail Keep in Dragenthal, please edit your backstory to reflect this.
Mark your edits in red and tag me when you have made the appropriate changes. @Patsie

Updated her age to 32 because I forgot ta'! Woopsies. + Fixing some of the GIFs, Page divider and adding in some art.

Requesting a quick Re-Review due to the slight changes to her body build, plus to the update of her age due to the Perrot family progression. @Bagley_ :>

Since you state her weapon of choice to be shortswords, daggers, and stilettos, you might consider changing her combat proficiency from Blades combat skill to Fast Blades combat skill, since Blades doesn't cover smaller weaponry anymore. @Patsie

@Patsie Your application looks all in order, there is a small number you have to change however.
As it stands, you listed your proficiency points available as 40 total, where it is actually 45. Please change this to be correct.
Outside of that, Approved.

@Caelamus HOH! Fixed the issue, sorry about that. What we get for calculating points during pirate attacks.
I was 13 core points over (we spent 46 instead of 33), dunno how we managed that but I'm glad you noticed!

New edits are in Red.
