He does not outwardly believe people are wrong for believing in other religions, save for any Void or Arken worship. Currently, his Throne of Worship is Ruunh, as their guidance of vengeance and usurping are what he lives by when it comes to the vampire scourge. Once a Qaarn follow, he still holds the entity in high regard. | How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world? | Sevrince holds no particular view of the Arcane, standing very neutral on the topic. The only exception being when magic is used against him, finding it detestable then. | How does your character feel towards their family? | Lacking any family of his own, Sevrince regards his closest companions as family. He does his best to try and take care of them and keep them safe. | What is your character the most proud of about themselves? | Sevrince is most proud of his ability to endure. With all his hardships in life and how many times he’s come close to death, he’s been very grateful for his seemingly bountiful constitution. | What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? | Sevrince pushes forward to simply try and keep surviving. He no longer wishes to lose anyone after the death of his wife and doesn’t bear any extreme or world changing goals. He simply wants to survive. | What is your character's biggest insecurity? | Sevrince’s biggest insecurity is his inability to fully connect with others. He feels a bit at lost when it comes to emotions and is often found in awkward situations because of it. | What is your character's biggest fear? | Sevrince’s biggest fear is dying. With such a strong desire to survive and to protect, he’s not against using desperate measures when the odds are slime. If he loses his life, who will continue to keep his family safe? ╔══════════════════════════════╗ ╚══════════════════════════════╝ Life Story: Sevrince was brought up as any other Isldar within the Holds. His mother and father cared for him deeply, his father being within the Pillar of Faith helped shape him early on into a devout Dragon Worshiper. His mother, on the other hand, was a member of the Pillar of the Dead and was Sevrince’s awakening for his love of dancing. His early life was pretty uneventful, having a normal upbringing and schooling. When Sevrince reached his early twenties, he decided he was going to become a Wind Watcher to sate his desire to see the outside world, even if it meant through battle. He spent his time diligently training until the day came where he was to set out for a small battle against a small platoon of dwarves. Up until the battle, Sevrince was in wonder as he looked around the world far beyond his home. Although it was all snow, every new tree brought him excitement. Though that overwhelming feeling of happiness washed away as soon as the snow was reddened with blood. He watched as his comrades were slaughtered, being outnumbered by a hidden flank of troops. Panicked, Sevrince ran, escaping into the frozen forests with his fellow soldier’s screams behind him. Soon, Sevrince collapsed from exhaustion a fair distance from a Velheim village where he was found by a kind seamstress named Evelina. When Sevrince awoke, he was explained what had happened and why he was where he was. Being too injured to leave, Evelina was stubborn in that she would take care of him until he was better. Though silently, Sevrince wished he’d never get better, being too racked with guilt to ever return home. After two weeks of recovery, Sevrince came to the conclusion that he’d help Evelina with labor work and other things she needed done to repay her. The two started becoming close despite the disgust of the rest of the village. They all wanted nothing to do with a filthy Frostling nor wanted it in their village. It soon became apparent that Sevrince and Evelina had no desire to part as the two became inseparable, Evelina eventually getting over Sevrince’s constant frown. They eventually got married after a year together and had many more, even having a young daughter named Petra. As Evelina got older, Sevrince remained young and sprightly, which caused many doubts in the relationship but Sevrince was determined to love her as long as he was able to. The village they lived in remained stagnant in their decision to hate the outsider, even turning that hate towards Evelina and especially Petra for being a half-breed. Though nothing ever came of it until the day a coven of Dorkarth had made their way upon the village. The pact of savage vampires rounded everyone up, demanding a tribute to their kindness to leave the village intact. There was no hesitation when everyone looked to Sevrince and his family to spare themselves, happily offering the trio up. Sevrince lashed and fought, though was easily overwhelmed with his lack of experience or power. He watched as both Evelina and Petra were slaughtered, staining the snow red once more as he saw his world collapsing. The villagers cried in joy, though it didn’t last as the Dorkath ordered everyone to be slaughtered. Sevrince was the only one left alive, the coven leader taking interest in the lone Isldar among Velheim. He was then forcibly infected, turned into the very beasts that had taken away his only joy. It was as if Sevrince’s mourning was put on hold as the vampire curse overtook his mind. Becoming as sadistic and twisted as those he called “kin”. He proved to actually be a competent fighter, taking up a northern Flamberge and adorned in void mutations. When he cried, streams of black went down from his eyes and left stains upon the snow and his eyes rendered dark as the void sending fear into the hearts of those he culled. This went on for an unknown number of years as Sevrince didn’t bother keeping track, simply filling his desire to feed and kill. The Isldar had basically willingly let the corruption overtake him to a frightening degree in hopes that it would erase all pain from his past if he continued to give in. This too was brought to an end, though, as an unknown vampire had moved through the group's territory. Sevrince and two others moved to eliminate him but were quickly alarmed to find nothing worked against the vampire. He took out both of the two Dorkarth, leaving Sevrince to beg for mercy on his hands and knees and wail about how he was forced to be there. Without so much of a word, the man bit into the Isldar’s neck then left him. Once again, Sevrince was too shameful to return so he fled. Though the next day, he was different. He no longer held the twisted mentality the Dorkarth gave him. Instead he held bitter resentment for vampires, but also for the Ailor that had turned him in. Finally, after years of holding it back, it was as if he was returned to the very moment his family was killed. For an entire week he wept and mourned, crying those same black tears while hunting down vampires for both revenge and sustenance earning him the alias “The Baleful Sorrow”. After seemingly crying his entire soul out of his body, Sevrince thought himself reborn. He used the same Draconic Mutations meant to inspire his people to render him a sullied husk, adorned with crimson red horns and flowing hair stained in red. It was then that he began traveling south, using any means to travel, before deciding to end up in Regalia, where it appeared many of Frisit’s messages were centering around.
