    Full Name: Sergei Titov

    Age: 26

    Gender: Male

    Race: Kalsik Ur

Main Ambition: To live a peaceful life in Regalia with a stable job and sizable income. To create strong friendships and long-lasting allies and loyalties. To spend his days as a good unionist, serving the empire and living in accordance to the creeds, so that he may be reborn as a human and be given a new chance to reach the afterlife.

To be added at a later date.

Eye Color: A dark, almost orange shade of yellow.

    Hair Color: A peanut-ish brown.

Hair Style: Urs don't style their fur.

Skin Color: Dark grey (however not visible as it is concealed by the fur).

    Clothing: Loincloth and (occasionally) shoulderplates.

    Height: 208cm - 6.9ft

    Weight: 285kg - 630lbs

    Body Build: Muscular.

Weapon of Choice: Although Sergei dislikes violence and prefers to avoid it, there comes times when no other option is available. In those times, he makes use of axes - a tool he has grown used to since his upbringing, and has since been his weapon of choice (although he rarely uses them for such purpose).

Sergei’s eyes are not very expressive, and were it not for his tendency to be vocal about his opinions he would most likely be a very hard person to “read”, so to say. Due to his enhanced sense of hearing, his ears prick up at the smallest sound and are usually very alive and active. The abundance of food in Regalia has certainly impacted Sergei, as he is bulkier than ever before. Wearing a simple, yet not too simple loincloth and the occasional shoulderplates, Sergei wears enough clothing to not be mistaken for a wild bear, but not so much that it prevents his natural insulation. It keeps him comfortable. Sergei speaks slowly, choosing his words carefully. With a heavy accent (comparable to real-life Russian), Sergei has trouble pronouncing the “th” sound, instead just pronouncing it as a d (or t) as well as pronouncing w’s as v’s. Sergei speaks Ur and Common, with him still being in the learning process of how to speak the latter fluently.

    Personality Traits

+ Independent: Sergei has spent a lot of time in his life living on his own, supporting himself and without working with others. He is also introverted in nature and often needs to recharge himself after spending time in social situations. His independent nature can help him in moments where he needs to fend for himself, but it has also made him a bad team player. Although his time in the Violet Order has changed him for the better, he still has some issues with authority and restrictions.

+ Honest: Sergei is usually not afraid to say something despite consequences, which can both create heartfelt and strong bonds with friends but also lead to people being put off by his bluntness (which can sometimes be interpreted as rude). He just doesn’t see the point in lies and deceit - he is no coward. If there is a problem, he will adress it.

    = Zealous
: Sergei went from being a heretic practicing Shulvanism to converting to Unionism. At first it was a necessary evil to fit into Regalian society and was done without any actual interest in their beliefs. However as a consequence of surrounding himself with passionate believers, he successively took a liking to the religion and has over time become very zealous. He understands that he has done great misdeeds in his past life to have become an Ur, and he therefore seeks to life a good Unionist life to receive a new chance at reaching afterlife. This strive to serve the emperor is what led him to join the ranks of the Vladirine Chapter of the Violet Order, dedicated to apprehending heretics. After the end of the Violet Order and the coup by the Dark Queen, Sergei then joined the resistance at Fort Kronau followed by returning to Regalia when the fort was abandoned. He is a staunch opponent to the Lo regime, even though he may not voice it publicly (for obvious reason).

= Thrillseeking: Through the years, Sergei has developed an addiction for thrills and feeds this addiction by partaking in thrilling endeavours often placing himself at risk. The big downside to this behaviour is the fact that his risks will successively escalate as he seeks for greater thrills, and the only way to halt his progress on this slippery slope would be for his risks to materialize and hurt him badly. However, not all of his thrills are life-risking endeavours, some are just everyday thrills such as shoplifting, catching a big fish or partaking in competitions and other festivities.

    - Selfish: Sergei is very self-absorbed, caring for himself primarily and rarely for others. He often fails to notice the blights of others, and is very rarely doing anything purely in pure benevolence. His actions are very often, if not always, motivated by his own interests and very rarely does other peoples’ situation play any role in his decision-making. This can make him seem heartless and inconsiderate (and rightfully so!).

    - Arbitrary: Having a hard time distancing himself from his emotions, Sergei often allows them to play in heavily in his decision making. If Sergei is passionate enough about something, facts and reason are irrelevant to whatever choice he may take. His decisions are greatly dependent on his mood at the time, making him an incredibly biased person. In the same way, he is also very spontaneous and impulsive and may be a very unpredictable person as his he may say or do whatever he thinks of at the time.

    - Narrow-minded: Sergei has trouble forgiving people. In his world, people rarely change their ways. A thief will always remain a thief, a killer will remain a killer and a heretic will remain a heretic. Combined with his uncontrite personality this creates an interesting case of doublethink, where he regards hereticism as deeply immoral and is likely to think that they will stay on that path for their lifetime, but has personal experience of he himself converting. Likewise, he has dabbled in the criminal underworld but regards sewer dwellers as good-for-nothing scum that will live and die in their self-inflicted filth.

    - Greedy: With a tendency to hunger for money, Sergei is ready to risk a lot for high rewards. Although this makes him susceptible for shady businesses and offers, it also often leaves him with a big pile of money at the end of the day. On the contrary, however - what good is a pile of money if you’re never willing to part with it?

    Strengths and Weaknesses

    Strengths

+ Eager learner: With a mind for learning, Sergei finds it easy to take in new information. This has especially aided him in his integration into Regalian culture and society. This drive for new knowledge and to discover new things has been with him since childhood, and was in combination with his thrill-seeking attitude what drove him to leave the icy plains of Jorrhildr to discover the rest of the world.

+ Persevering: Sergei has an affinity for holding up and has a natural stubbornness when it comes to completing tasks and solving problems. Taking time to think things over and waiting patiently is something that comes easy for Sergei and he has learned to keep moving at all times despite whatever troubles him as well as keeping his patience during hardships. His stubbornness also keeps him devoted to causes that he views as important despite conflict or consequence.
+ Observant: Sergei has a knack for noticing things that other people do not. Owing to the keen sense of sight and hearing of an Ur, combined with an ever alert personality and a curious mind, it is hard to slip something past Sergei making him an apt guard or lookout. However his observational skills also result in a short attention span (something typical for Urs, especially of the Kalsik culture), often losing his trains of thoughts and going off on tangents practically unrelated to the original subject at hand. Sergei often needs something to occupy his mind lest he become restless.

    Weaknesses

    - Uncontrite: Regarding himself (although not consciously) as near infallible, Sergei rarely apologizes and barely ever finds flaws in himself and adjusts his lifestyle to fix them. He always finds excuses for his actions, judging himself by his intentions and motivations in place of his actions. His ego is just a little too big, perhaps as a consequence of pampering by his family in his childhood. He can even go through great lengths and extensive, ridiculous arguments just so he doesn’t have to excuse himself and admit defeat. This also yields significant tension in circumstances where friends and associates point out flaws in Sergei or complain to him, and is sure to result in him being less fond of them. Needless to say, Sergei does not take criticism very well.

    - Uneducated: He is, quite simply, lacking an education and unknowing of how the world works on the larger scale. Though he likes to learn, he just never got any traditional education in his youth and thus has limited political knowledge, a poor grasp on personal economy and until recently he could neither read or write. That is not to say he can read or write perfectly - his reading is choppy and slow, and his handwriting barely legible and horribly misspelled. His lack of a formal education has severely played into his life, leaving him oblivious in various aspects of practically everything.

    - Harsh
: When roused, which does not occur frequently, Sergei has a tendency to go a tad overboard with his punishments, to the point where they could sometimes be considered cruel or ruthless. For Sergei however, the reasoning is logical - he believes that rehabilitation is useless and rarely ever works - in his world people seldom change their ways. Thus when issuing punishments during his time in the Violet Order for example, he would place emphasis on deterrence and retribution - and what better way to do that than harsh punishments?

    Life Story

Sergei was born on the south-western Jorrhildr coast. He was the only child - although only for a year. His mother, the clan leader, birthed a daughter the year after, whom they named Anastasia. Sergei’s father was a fisherman, and it was expected of him to take up the same line of work. He did this eagerly and willingly, curiously watching his father set up traps and use animal tracks to locate the animals during his childhood and later assisting him in the work in his teenage years. He was an eager learner and developed into a talented huntsman.

In his late teens however, he became more religiously active and became a fervous participant during meditations. It escalated to the point where Sergei would ignore hunting completely and isolate himself completely from the tribe for weeks at a time, sometimes returning only for brief intervals. During one specific meditation that occurred on a particularly cold winter, he experienced a “vision” in which he spoke with Shulva, and she called for him to wander south. Whether it was his subconscious calling for him to discover the world, if it was a hallucination or a fever dream or actually Shulva calling for him to meet his destiny was irrelevant. All that mattered was that he had found a cause - and so he began wandering. The decision whether to leave his tribe weighed heavy on him. He wandered for months along the coastline, taking advantage of his father’s teachings to feed himself.

After a day of vigorous walking, he came upon a village. He saw wood huts off in the distance. It was a small Ailor settlement and although they treated him with suspicion at first, they came to treat him as a friend soon enough. Though communication was strained, Sergei managed to at least get the message across that he would help in any way possible for food on his plate and a place to sleep. Although life in the village was exhausting and not so much rewarding, it gave Sergei a taste of what was to come would he continue his journey. It gave him a glimpse of civilization and convinced him to keep at his journey. When one day there came a ship of traders to trade with the villagers, Sergei did not hesitate. He talked to the captain in broken Common, explaining that he would work for a place on board the ship. The captain, like the villagers, were suspicious of Sergei at first but did eventually agree to allowing him to join them on their ship. And so it came that one autumn day Sergei sailed southward from Jorrhildr, on a ship bound to Regalia.

A massive, bustling city was incredible to Sergei, someone who only months ago was baffled at the sight of a castle. They docked and he stepped ashore, only to spend the rest of the day wandering the streets, discovering the city. When he returned to the docks as he had nowhere else to go, he found that the ship had sailed already. He was alone, far away from home. He had to fend for himself, get somewhere to sleep, something to eat, something to do during the days. He first looked into creating shelter outside the city but as the risk of being mistaken for a bear was too high, he set about finding someplace to live inside the city. That place turned out to be the sewers, and for a long while he lived in filth and made a living off of crime. This significant hardship took a quick turn for the better however, as he lucked out and scored a job serving as a guard for the di Orazio family. Serving the count, he joined the Bronze Halberds right before they were moved into the Violet Order. He became a zealous Unionist and realized that the vision he received in his youth was not by Shulva, but by the Spirit masquerading as Shulva to bring Sergei to Regalia and serve the empire. He served in the Vladirine chapter right until the Lo coup, whereby he joined the ranks of the resistance in Kronau. After the fort in Kronau was abandoned, he returned to Regalia where he remains as of now.

My review has only one point, his trait of "Disorganized fighter" is both poorly named and a cop out in my opinion. Urs are naturally pacifists and so lacking in tactical fight skill is expected of their race. That being said, there is no need to replace the trait with anything else do if it is removed, I will go and approve the thread.

    A small-ish rewrite/edit!

    * Edited the culture as consequence of the rewrite on the Ur wiki page. Sergei is now a Kalsik Ur which is very similar to the old standard Ur culture.
    * Made edits to body build as there are now a standard set of body types to choose from.
    * Made some changes to the life story, such as changing all references of the old Ur religion to Shulvanism, as well as removing outdated parts referring to the Ursula Fed., the Dozorkovka, Kovka, etc.
    * Removed Brave character strength as I felt I barely ever used the trait and therefore could do without having listed it.
    * Expanded on Observant character strength as I felt I had written a little too little on the subject.
    * Fixed a few typos
    * Edited some parts referring to the Lo regime in present tense
    * All edits in red.

Oh and uh, the thread lost its flair. If you could fix that, that'd be great.

    Thanks in advance!
