Senarei was born to a couple in the Eastern Kingdom of Jin-Lung. Here she and her siblings resided on a farm, her mother working as a gardener who utilized the crops grown for alchemy, while her father was a crossbowman. Her childhood and adolescence was spent assisting with work, and learning skills from either parent from doing so. She had plans to continue staying in Jin-Lung, until she was taken under the wing of a sect leader. Upon turning 18, she received a dream from Nishiliu: to pursue her healing abroad. Her focus shifts from crossbowmanship to healing entirely. She took up a medic role in the sect. A year later the Master passes, leaving Senarei feeling lost as the Sect splits up. Her sights eventually turn to Regalia to pursue her dream and seek out the remaining members there.
